    Great tour
This tour was very good. The guide was knowledgeable and entertaining. I forgot his name, but he is from Belgium and has an amazing amount of knowledge of Boston history. It was cold and windy, but that didn’t affect our tour because he kept us moving and entertained the entire time. I would recommend this tour to anyone.

It is a really good way to experience The Freedom Trail .
I found this tour very interesting and Adrie our guide was knowledgeable about his subject. He had a hard job that day because it was most probably the coldest, iciest Boston day ever! It is hard to concentrate when you are so cold that you can not feel your hands but Adrie made up for this by finding warm places to stand in and out of buildings. I appreciated his thoughtful efforts. I would recommend this Walking Tour.

    Loaded with history
A lot of information but felt we were in the cemetery too long. Lot of history and knowledge from our guide. Guide was dressed in colonial attire which made it feel authentic

Massacre? Well, maybe not. Boston? Absolutely!
Very entertaining and memorable history on The Freedom Trail. Covering the 11 out of 16 sites worked well for us that day. We enjoyed our knowledgeable costumed guide, who happened to be from Belgium!

We loved our tour! It was just the right amount of interesting facts, history, and humor. The tour was moving at a good pace where you can rest a bit between historical landmarks.

Samuel Gray leads us, even after all these years….
“Samuel Gray” was an excellent and interesting host and docent for our tour, with great storytelling skills and a wealth of new history and information. He was considerate and led our group with great skill. I would highly recommend this tour, and ask for “Samuel Gray!”

    Not what I expected.
The tour guide recited a seemingly preprepared script to refute anyone's preconceived knowledge of Boston Colonial history and emphasize the fundamental concepts of Critical Race teaching and LGBT history as often as possible. Any references to traditional figures were made as the but of a joke at their expense. Not what I expected.

    Good history tour of Boston
Our tour guide, “Mrs Lafayette” was very good. She knew a lot of Boston history. The Celtics parade was happening and she did her best to talk over the crowds

    Great tour
We weren’t sure which tour we wanted so went to the visitors center and this is the one they offered us. The tour was great. Our guide was very knowledgeable and did a great job of making stops in the shade, which was particularly important because it was rather hot. He did a great job separating fact from fiction what we may have known.

My family of 4 participated in the first Freedom Trail walking tour of the day. Our guide did a nice job sharing more about the people and places behind the Revolution. My tweens stayed engaged. Only reason I can’t give this a 5 star review is the fact that Boston is a loud city, with construction & traffic going on, and this made it hard to hear our guide. We would recommend others to definitely tour the Freedom Trail with a guide, as you’ll get so much more out of the experience versus trying to your on your own.

We really don’t have any control over city noise. Our guides are miked and have loud clear speaking voices. We do our very best to make sure everyone on the tour is comfortable and can hear. We do bring History to Life.

Fantastic tour - entertaining and knowledgeable guide! Jeremiah Poole was our guide and he was fantastic - even on a scorching hot day he kept three teens entertained (no mean feat, I can tell you!) He was incredibly knowledgeable, very very funny, and a pleasure to spend a couple of hours with.

If it hadn't been so darn hot we'd have done the afternoon tour with him too!

My tour guide was excellent in explaining the history and important things about each place visiting. I wish I remembered his name but I believe he is the Dutch man . I went on a Tuesday afternoon and ended up with a private tour since no one else booked the trip . I highly recommend this tour to anyone who wants to know how our country got its start

Town crier very good, stayed in character we walked along FT. Disappointed no entry into any historic buildings/churches. Became frustrating just looking at the buildings without “ entry/admission” as stated on your itinerary online. A lot of walking and talking.. not enough visiting behind the doors for my total experience

We have so much History to cover in 90 mins that going into the Churches and Buildings would make it a 5 hour tour. Our website clearly defines what and how we cover the Freedom Trail Sights.

Our guide liked to hear himself talk but seemed totally oblivious to the fact that he was boring his audience to tears. He spent half and hour at the first stop alone. We made it to the second site and literally gave up and left the tour. The irony was that he told us communication was his calling but he was terrible at keeping the attention of his audience. It was like being lectured by a textbook (but one filled with inaccuracies- he kept calling the burial grounds a cemetery).

Very informational tour. Our guide played the part well, cracked jokes, and was knowledgeable about the history of each place we visited. He also helped others not on the tour when he saw people were struggling to find a place.

All of our guides are told from the beginning of their employment that they are Ambassadors for the city of Boston. Always be courteous, helpful and available whether someone is on the tour or not.

We purchased tickets in advance online for the 9:30 tour. Per the email confirmation we arrived 10 minutes early. At 9:30 we were told by visitor center staff that tours didn’t start until 10:00. The guide was apologetic about the start time. So after a 40-minute wait the tour began. The guide was very pleasant and appeared to be knowledgeable, but the presentation was less than thrilling. We had three elementary school kids with us and the tour lacked any cohesion that the kids, let alone adults could follow. After an extensive explanation of the topography and the glacial impacts on New England, we left the tour to follow the freedom trail ourselves. We learned more from the landmark signs than from the tour. I encourage people to reconsider paying for a tour that can be accomplished by following the trail and reading the signs.

All ticket holders got a text and a reminder that on this particular day the 9:30 will start 1/2 hour later. Our guides talk about the landscape and how Native Americans came here up to the Revolutionary War and the excavation of British Soldiers. Depending on the child, some children absorb the History like sponges, others not so much.

This was a great tour for my daughter (15 years old) and me. Jeremiah Poope was our fantastic guide for almost 2 hours. He was super engaging with everyone and provided fun facts as we toured to go along with historical info. I would highly recommend this tour for all ages especially if you can get Mr Poope.

Multiple complaints on the website about too many people on this tour. We should have listened. Our Saturday tour was rescheduled. We showed up to a large crowd. Website noted policy was less than 30 on tour. Our guide kept shilling for more people to join even after clearly more than 30. I counted 90 on our tour. We walked to first spot and couldn’t even see the guide due to the small army. We complained and told we could get money back. At least they did give us money back. I would avoid this tour. Way to many people to be enjoyable. Many other options for the Freedom trail.

My brother and his wife and myself decided to take a tour of Boston as seen through the eyes of a history buff. We went into Boston on Patriots’ Day this year, which is a great day to look at history.

Our tour guide, Donald Watson was excellent with information and entertainment as we walked. He was very knowledgeable about the history of Boston and the patriots who did fight to exorcise us from England.. Of course we know some of the history from What we learned in school however he made it much more personal knowing some of the character from that time and some of their personal life information.

There were a number of facts he brought He brought to light Which I was not aware of. It was a beautiful day and being in Boston for the day we rounded it up with having a nice lunch in the North end

I would highly recommend this company when you take your tour in Boston. Informative, entertaining and reasonably priced.
