My husband and I came to Boston to celebrate his 50th birthday. I signed us up for this tour. Conor was very informative and had personality plus. He made the tour. Our group was very fun. When we were at the last pub they found out it was my husband's 50th on that exact day they bought shots! LOL One guy tried paying $50 to the DJ so they could sing the song September to him. Low and behold someone else sang it . "Do you remember 21st night of September " it made his birthday special!!!

We did this tour yesterday and it was excellent. Our tour guide, Conor, was knowledgeable, friendly and was genuinely engaging whenever we had things to say or chat about. There's was only 5 of us on the tour, a group of 3 ladies and then my husband and myself so it was fairly intimate and we all got along great and spent the afternoon chatting. We even stayed and had another drink with them after the tour finished. We asked what the maximum number of people was and he said 12 but smaller groups tended to be more enjoyable.
There wasn't as much walking as I had anticipated but we were grateful of that as it was scorching out and the stops inside were a welcome respite. Conor had lots of interesting facts about the history of Boston, the build up to the revolution and the architecture of the area and it was all very interesting. He and the 3 ladies were all interested to hear our perspectives as Brits as to what we learn about the subject and we had some great conversations. The drinks were all great and we were all eager to try all the local and unique beers and ciders that Conor recommended.
All in all it was a really fun few hours and we thoroughly enjoyed our afternoon. Would definitely recommend to anyone visiting the city.

Great time on our Boston freedom Trail pub crawl yesterday. Bobby did a great job providing historical facts you don’t hear every day, as well as keeping the group interactive & entertained. We’ll definitely do this again next time we’re in Boston. Looking forward to the Fort Worth Texas pub crawl which we heard is opening soon.

This was the perfect afternoon activity to get to know some of Boston's history and try some great local beer. Connor, our tour guide was super knowledgeable and answered a bunch of curveball questions we threw at him. We loved the fact that this was a small group tour (helped that we loved our fellow travelers) and we would absolutely recommend this again. It was really amazing to end at the oldest continuously running bar in the United States-- loved the Bell in Hand brew.. wish we could buy it back home!!

Our time with Boston Crawling was exquisite! Angelo, our guide, was such a fun and interesting guy who made the history interactive and fun. Being able to see how the old pubs function in 2021 was a highlight of this tour. Our tour had 10 participants which was the perfect amount to navigate the streets, and to get to know one another. I would highly recommend this tour for any history lovers, beer lovers, or those who just want a fun night on the town!

We had a good time with a few hiccups. One pub was very loud so it was hard to hear but our tour guide did a great job in a tough situation and our last stop it was very!!! Hot (no AC on 90+ day in small space) so I think we were all just in a hurry to get out of there so that stop felt very rushed. That being said our guide was enthusiastic, fun and made every thing very easy so it was an enjoyable night.

It's a bit pricey, but I would definitely recommend it if you're looking to tour Boston. Not only was this a great way to learn some niche history and travel along freedom trail, but it was easy to socialize with other travelers and the tour guide (especially with the aid of the alcohol). If you do this tour, I would recommend not saving it for your last day, as you can learn about some interesting sights, restaurants, and activities in Boston from the people you are crawling with.

From the moment we first met Maddie at the meeting point we had an amazing time. Maddie was very informative and gave us a great insight into Boston’s history in an engaging way. The tour itself wasn’t too long of a walk but we were still able to see quite a few of Boston’s landmarks. We were a group of 4 who have very different tastes when it comes to drinks and Maddie was able to recommend a drink that suited each of our tastes. Would definitely recommend this tour to anybody visiting Boston and looking for a different way to learn about the history!

I went to your pub crawl on Friday night. I was alone and wondered if it would be awkward. Turns out it was the best night out I’ve had in a long time. The eight other people that had signed up were so nice, from all over the world, and so fun! Our tour guide was named Meg and she was amazing. She was responsible for bringing everyone together, was hysterical and gave us extremely interesting new info about the history of Boston. I would definitely recommend this tour - and find out when Meg is doing it!!

It’s a lot of older buildings that are not stroller friendly. The tour is mostly sitting in pubs with drinks and hearing stories.

Are the happy hour and dry run tours different? I can’t drink much and would prefer to buy as I go but my husband would probably like the option with the beer included. I wondered if we had to both buy the same type of ticket to do the tour together.

They run in tandem. The group I was in totaled 12 people. 5 were on a dry run, 7 were partaking in the happy hour. The other 6 purchased as we went at their pace.

Hi! I am booking our itinerary for Friday, September 9, 2022 and really want to book this experience. When do you think you'll have your availability for that month posted or available for reservation?
Written January 23, 2022
The four I remember going to are The White Bull Tavern,The Blackstone Pub, The Point, and Bell in Hand Tavern. All were great and our guide Jess was awesome. I am a cider girl and one of the four only offered Angry Orchard which I was disappointed with, but there is really cool history in each place we stopped.

Hello ~
We will be in town on a cruise ship in October. There are multiple people in our party. If I have people just go in and book the same tour, will we be together or do I need to have them flag somehow that they are with us? (We don't mind other people being with us, but we would like to be together with the same tour guide.)
Written August 8, 2018
I think you’d have to book together. Seemed like the tour group was limited to 12-15.
