About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- Z2249ZBdavids0 contributionsEnjoyable Sunset Harbor Cruise. The departure point was easy to locate. Boarding went smoothly. Adequate seating both inside and on deck. Captain gave narration but not constant so you could peacefully enjoy the cruise. Unfortunately, our cruise had a bachelor and bachelorette party on board, so they were somewhat loud. Cruise is geared more toward a relaxed environment. Food and drink available. Enjoyed sunset cannon at the USS Constitution and beautiful Boston skyline.Written September 15, 2024
- Lizzybit0 contributionsWonderful Ride! What a lovely experience! The weather was perfect, the boat was beautiful and the crew was awesome. Such a cool way to see Boston from the water. Will definitely do again on a future visit!Written September 15, 2024
- TaraHeagele0 contributionsAll Female Crew! Love that!We experienced a stunning sunset cruise on a lovely early September evening with an all female crew - including the captain! I love to see that, as it is so rare in this industry. The captain and crew were fabulous! The Northern Lights (the name of our boat) was spotless, the ride was smooth, the commentary from the captain was calm and informational, and the pictures I was able to capture will delight me for years to come. There are bathrooms and a full bar on board. Both indoor and outdoor seating is available. There is plenty of room to walk around too. It was a very pleasant evening, and the best way to spend our last night in Boston.Written September 12, 2024
- Redbaran730 contributionsGreat sailboat experience in Boston HarborThe boat was very clean and well-kept. The crew was friendly and accommodating. The drink prices were very reasonable.Written September 11, 2024

- 498RonP0 contributionsGreat views of Boston from the harborGreat way to finish off a day in Boston. Stunning views of the city at night!! Drinks and food available on the boat. I would get in line early because the best seats get taken fastWritten September 8, 2024
- F7947YFrafaelm0 contributionsFantastic experience! We really enjoyed the sailing. Feeling the sail ship moving in quiet no-motor silence was awesome. I was given a full explanation of the theory of sailing by Eric our captain, and so I understood what was happening and why. He kindly answered all my questions. And the views of the sunset against the Boston skyline were spectacular. Very highly recommended!!!Written September 4, 2024
- Lesley490220 contributionsNice Sunset Cruise, limited narrationThe staff was very friendly and helpful. The boat was clean and in nice shape. My only issue is there was very little provided in terms of narrating the tour and what we were seeing. It was my husband's first trip to Boston, and this was disappointing to say the least. They should consider more narration on the front part of the cruise. If you are looking for a nice sunset cruise this is great, but if you want to learn something or just have someone point out what you are looking at (which they did maybe 5 times) then this isn't your cruise.Written September 4, 2024
- Z3224QWchristinep0 contributionsBest Boston Experience!!This was one of our favorite things we did in Boston!! HIGHLY recommend the staff is so incredibly nice and helpful. Take the sunset cruise for the best experienceWritten September 2, 2024
- D3634NRjanicem0 contributionsGreat way to see Boston at sunsetThe cruise was absolutely beautiful The crew was very friendly Although we didn’t drink or eat on it, the bar was very well stocked and they had numerous good looking food snacksWritten September 1, 2024
- SaurabhMukherjee0 contributionsBeautiful sail in start of Fall. A must do experienceBeautiful sail in start of Fall for my larger family from India. Great experience, lovely service and the entry/exit point of marina is super cool with restaurants, bars and a neat walk alongside the Boston harbour marinaWritten September 1, 2024
- Diane S0 contributionsIt was greatThis was a a great tour. Relaxing and a beautiful night overall. I liked that the captain kept her remarks brief so we still gained information but also had time to just sit and enjoy the sceneryWritten August 29, 2024
- NewBeginnings80 contributionsWhat a beautiful day! This was a wonderful outing! Our Women's ministry from Healing Streams and another women's ministry, Arise, came together for this - there were about 20 of us! The length of the cruise was perfect and we all went and sat up on top after we finished the brunch! The staff was so helpful and provided excellent service. We all had fun and I would definitely recommend this to anyone who lives in Boston or is visiting Boston!Written August 27, 2024
- Tabatha11040 contributionsA Perfect Saturday Evening on the WaterOur sunset cruise was a highlight of our short but action-packed weekend in Boston! The boat was lovely, the crew was super nice, and the views simply outstanding! For those considering: this was not a fast-paced, action packed adventure. It was a classy, romantic, relaxing time on the water learning a little about the sights around the Harbor but mostly just taking it all in and enjoying the experience. Seeing the cannon on the USS Constitution be fired was an unexpected treat!Written August 27, 2024
- babzb20210 contributionsHighly recommend the sunset cruiseGreat trip on the beautiful Adirondak III. Beautiful views of the city. The crew were fantastic and attentive. Drinks were very reasonable on board -$2pop, $8 glass of wine etc. The boat is comfortable and impressive when the sails are set. We went on a very low-wind evening but it was still absolutely worth it-absolutely a highlight of our trip.Written August 27, 2024

It was a very relaxing boat ride in the harbor. However, it was adverted as a harbor sightseeing tour. We were on the boat for 25 minutes before they started narration of the Boston Harbor. That narrative lasted maybe 4 minutes and was extremely hard to hear what was being said. We even moved downstairs thinking we’d hear better but no such luck. The view and boat ride were very relaxing so if that is what your looking for it’s awesome. But if you’re looking for a tour that narrators the history/highlight of the harbor I recommend trying a different tour.

We embarked on the Adirondack III for an up to 2 hr sail around the harbour. Captain and crew were competent and friendly. Sadly, this blistering day did not cooperate with wind so we motored a lot. Still much cooler than on land. While drinks of any kind are preferred, what’s lacking is ambience. On board music and, especially, commentary on the site and situation of this water course and surrounds would greatly improve the cruise.

Thank you for booking a cruise with us and taking some time to provide your feedback. We are sorry that the ambiance and level of narration did not match your hopes for the trip. Certainly, the experience benefits from the excitement provided by the wind that was unfortunately lacking on this day. We will take your comments about narration into consideration as we have many customers that prefer more narration and many that prefer little to none, and the same is true regarding music, so it is difficult to strike a balance that works for everyone. The description for this item says that it is not a guided tour, but we do encourage our guests to engage with the captain and crew if they are interested in learning about the area. We are always striving to improve our cruises and appreciate your input, and we will consider adding some narration on days that are light on wind. - Classic Harbor Line Boston

There are many cool aspects. The boat is lovely because it has some age to it. They use garden furniture on the deck (which had a cover against the sun) which is looking good and is comfortable, the female captain has interesting things to say but isn't constantly in your ear, the "cruise" takes about 60-90 min which is just right. All members of staff were very friendly and the Margarita was also very good. We booked online (32 $), which makes this nice afternoon trip good value for money. We'll definitely do it again.

Very relaxed tour of the bay. Captain was knowledgeable about the area but did not talk constantly allowing passengers to enjoy the sights. Able to take elderly parents along with mobility issues. Staff accommodating and they enjoyed the cruise on the first deck which was enclosed.

The crew was so nice and the sightseeing was great. We brought family who were visiting and they loved it especially because you could get a great view of planes landing at the airport which was cool. The Captain did a great job narrating the tour and I learned a lot I didn’t know about Boston!

We went on the Boston Harbor Sightseeing cruise with visiting guests from Canada. We chose the Northern Lights, because it was nice and cool inside, an easy smooth ride on the Harbor . Plus the bar is there as well !! Samatha, the awesome bartender, makes fabulous special drinks, as well as beer and wine on board ...Also small bites are available. Captain Jessica was very knowledgeable about the Boston Harbor Islands. She has a great pleasant speaking voice, she sure does know her history. I have brought many visiting guests on this cruise, it's a wonderful way to enjoy the water. It's 1 1/2 hours, so it doesn't consume your whole day. It is also great for families, young and old!
Be sure to make a reservation, it does fill up quickly in the summer. You'll meet your ambassador , ours was Jerry, to receive your tickets at the counter. They will escort you down to the Northern Lights. The entire ground staff and all the crew on board are wonderful. Well done..... We'll be back again. GreenB7

Overall a great way to spend time with family and enjoy the sites of Boston from the harbor! Nice size boat with plenty of room to get around without feeling congested. The girl giving the narrative was great and was easy to hear and follow. All of the employees were very nice and helpful. Some of us enjoyed a beverage while cruising. Towards the end of the tour they played entertaining music.

The cruise takes you around the harbor and teaches you about the history- It was nice out on the water. Situate yourself on the right side of the boat and up on top (if you can handle the wind). Our tour guide told a few too many jokes for my tastes but he was very knowledgeable so that made up for it.

We enjoyed the Bar Harbor Sightseeing Cruise as a family of 4 with a 19yr old and a 17yr old. The boat was lovely, and the drink and snack prices were reasonable. We did wish there would’ve been some more narration. Only 5 or 6 things were pointed out, and it was difficult to hear the commentary on the top deck. Besides that, it was a very nice experience.

Hello. My parents do not require a wheel chair but do have mobility issues due to Parkinson's. Can you tell me how passengers get on and off the boat or if they would need to use any stairs. Thank you
