- christophersE7285MV00Awesome bike tour of BostonReally enjoyed our bike ride throughout Boston. The three guides were fantastic; they kept it very enjoyable and we enjoyed seeing and riding to the sites. Highly recommend for families!
- 384paulinea00Great adventure round BostonBooked in advance and able to complete waiver paperwork on line ahead of pick up. Warm welcome and bikes ready for us. Bike helmet chain all in very good condition. Map and tips on where to go provided. Tried bike for size before leaving. Great way to see the city - got as far as Harvard and all round the harbour and the wharfs. Good cycle paths. Great staff. All very good experience and owner even suggested where we might dine out! Support this local / small firm. You will not be disappointed.
- alanpE2864PS00Great bikes, great guides, and a great tour.Great bikes, great guides, and a great tour of the city of Boston. I can tell you the ride is not difficult because I was concerned as I had recently fractured my hip and was healing. 98% of the rider is flat and over 50% is completely away from traffic. Do it! You will enjoy it.
- MichellleB_1200Definitely worth it!Bob, Gary, and Ken made this tour so much fun! Loved the little bits of information and humor, with some beautiful sites!
- 888leroyb00Great experience getting to know Boston.Great tour with a lot of interesting history included. Went to neighborhoods we didn’t even know about.
- leslie a00Great way to see bostonGreat way to see boston. The guides were very knowledgeable on the town. 2 1/2 hours was perfect amount of time. No hills and beautiful ride
- TonyD59100Great tour!Charles was a perfect tour guide…a life-long Bostonian, retired teacher and Boston History buff who enjoys bike riding. We rode by and/or stopped at most of the historic sites. There was some riding on streets with busy traffic, so you should be comfortable with city riding for this tour.
- BTNG00Great attention to detailsIt can be easy to skip writing a good review because there's nothing to complain about, but I want to give Urban Adventours a good review after being reminded of the things that a bad tour company can get wrong. Urban's staff was friendly. They didn't wait for us to ask for something. They knew and offered it right away. Told us where the bathrooms were. They provided cold water to fill our bottles–unexpected but speaks very well of the outfit. They fit our helmets and bikes individually. They watched us test ride the bikes to make sure the adjustments were correct. The bikes worked well (we rented regular city bikes). The handlebar baskets closed to keep things from flying out. It was a hot day, so staging in the shady park across the street really helped. Our tour guides, Gary and Charles were knowledgeable and very nice. They provided a good group atmosphere. The ride was safe. The tour was a good way to get an overview of the sights to see. These things seem like no big deal, but a few days later, we rented bikes from an outfit on Cape Cod that didn't check the bike and helmet fit, gave us bikes with brakes that weren't smooth and handlebar baskets that lets things fly out and were generally not friendly or professional. That just reminded me of the great job Urban Adventours did.
- Elwayeye00Broken BikesMy family (2 adults, 2 kids) rented four bikes for an afternoon. The gentleman at the store spent some time with us showing us how to use the bikes, fitting us for the right size, etc. He gave us 2 locks to use while we were away, and he gave us directions to where we wanted to go. The first problem occurred when we went to lock up the bikes, and the locks weren't long enough to fit around two bikes. So we were annoyed that we hadn't been given four locks. So my husband missed our activity so he could babysit the bikes. The second problem occurred when we got back on our bikes to head back to the shop, and the chain came off the gear on two of the bikes. I called the shop for help, and someone tried to walk us through how to fix the chain, but it wasn't working. I asked if there was a way to FaceTime, so he could see if we were doing what he told us to do correctly, but he said there was no way to do that. I asked if they had any employee who could meet us and fix the bikes, but that was also not a possibility. So my husband and son walked their bikes back to the shop, because they were no longer able to ride them. Luckily, we weren't extremely far, or we really could have gotten stranded. My husband emailed the company privately to explain the situation, and the response he got was that "without pointing fingers, it sounds a little like user error." This had literally never happened to us, and the response was insulting and entirely inappropriate. "Without pointing fingers," they totally pointed fingers. I would never rent bikes from this company again - their bikes do not work well, and then they'll blame you for it.
- dinappp00Loved this bike tour!Family of 6 (age range 17-65) - we all LOVED this tour. The guides were so knowledgeable and friendly! We all learned a lot and loved seeing the city in this way. We have taken bike tours in lots of cities & this is one of the best.
- Jeff K00Amazing experience way to see the city on bikes with experienced, friendly and knowledgeable guides on almost new bikes!Amazing way to see and explore the city of Boston on bike with 2 amazing guides!! Charles and Gary were friendly, funny, knowledgeable and helpful. Everything you want in a tour guide. The bikes were in perfect condition, seemed brand new and were sized to each rider. Helmets were provided and also seemed new and clean. I’ve been to Boston many times but it’s the first time i really saw the city! Great job guys!! Thank you.
- victoriay43700Rude and disrespectful staffAbsolutely rude and disrespectful staff! I am trying to speak to them respectfully about the prices of their bike tours and rentals. The staff member tells me my questions are inappropriate because this is a privately owned company. I am not from the Boston area and want to learn more about their bike services, programs, and if they offer discounts. He is angry and hangs up on me before I finish my sentence. Wow, I have no idea how they get such positive reviews. I would stay away from such a terrible company!

I had the good fortune to take this tour on Sunday 4th April. I had taken the Boston City tour the previous day and my review applies to both tours. Brand new quality easy to ride bikes. Great friendly staff both in the store and the guides. The cycling pace was perfect for a group of mixed ability cyclists - a gentle pace that enabled us to appreciate all the sights. Guides were extremely knowledgeable friendly and appeared to enjoy the tours as much as the guests. Can not say which tour was best, Boston was a little more congested with a little traffic but nothing scary, and lots to take in. Cambridge was less congested and less built up with lots of off road riding through Harvard and along the Charles river. Give these tours a go - you will not be disappointed.

Friendly knowledgeable guide, like the urban guru of bicycle paths. We could not have done this type of adventure on our own without a lot more planning and a lot more time. Highlights include the paul Revere statue, the tribute to the MIT policeman lost to the Boston marathon bomber, the “Harvard Yard”, and much more. The key is the Adventure, the Experience, the courtesy, the convenience, and the well maintained equipment.

This time is my first time to join a Bike Tour to explorer in a City. And I am not sure will I be the lucky one, cause the tour I joined that day, I am the only one. And it seems they won’t run the tour if only one person. But this time they still count me in. My tour guide, Brad, is extremely knowledgeable about Boston, He is friendly, and professional. He also take good care of customer’s safety. I am not usually comfort to ride with those traffic, but I never have this concern while under his escort. Most of the route was on the Bike track & it’s flat.
I had a great Bike Tour in Boston. Wish I will have time for another Bike tour here or any other country I traveled.

My wife, I and our two adult daughters took the Tour De Cambridge on July 5th 2019. We have to say that it was a very pleasant and enlightening experience. The staff at Urban Adventours are very friendly and helpful. They fitted us with the appropriate bikes and helmets. There were 15 of us total on the tour and we had a guide for every 5 cyclists. Our main guide was very knowledgable about the Boston and Cambridge areas and had a good handle on the historical element. He was patient with us and answered all our questions.
The tour is over 3 hours long and on a hot day can be a little exhausting for some. It is recommended to come with the appropriate foot wear and comfortable clothing. They supply water bottles which can usually be refilled somwhere along the way. At each stop there is plenty of time to take pictures.
We would highly recommend Urban Adventours to anyone visiting the Boston area and contemplating a bike tour,

I love to bike but found central Boston to not be bike friendly. I booked this tour to see what the guides could show me as a good route. The biggest benefit was the enthusiasm of the guides and their friendliness! Loved the ride and the information. beautiful to go along the St. Charles river. Guides were so happy to give recommendations afterward for dinner places nearby or beer gardens. Definitely recommend them.

We did the guided tour to Cambridge, it was a nice easy way to get over to Cambridge & hear about Harvard & MIT, ride along the river and hear many other things about Boston & the many neighborhoods they have. It was easy to make the bike reservation online & they were ready for us when we arrived for the tour. The bike ride was very level so I'd say any fitness level could do this tour.
