- 295johnnys00Terrible experience with Priceline and Dollar Car RentalI want everyone to know to be careful if you ever do business with Priceline or Dollar Rental Car. My wife got sick on this trip and we had to return home 4 days early. Do you think either company refunded us for our unfortunate situation? Did they care? After hours on the phone with both and a face to face conversation at the rental car counter at Logan, no refund. Hundreds of dollars gone. So sad!! Bottom line…. Be careful. You could be next. PS. Priceline also did not reimburse us for one night in Maine for a hotel. Total monies lost- over $600!!!!!!
- Bwdarla00Easy way to see coastal New EnglandWe wanted to take a day from Boston to see the coast and this was the perfect excursion for my senior parents. The ride was so comfortable and our driver Mostafa was so gracious and kind. Such an easy way to see beautiful sights without the hassle of figuring out directions or parking and he was happy to stop anywhere we liked.
- dmsibert0800To the lighthouse and beyondMy goodnes it was all good! Dave was amazing and knew his stuff. The views were awesome! I enjoyed it!
- K7365YEbradw00Great Tour!!Derek was so knowledgeable and friendly. Car was super comfortable. This is the best way to see the REAL Boston. Totally worth the expense.
- Q4448OQcharlesw00Boston and New HampshireGreat Tour He was very informed great conversationalist.Showed many Historical Sites of Boston but also a tour of Political and Athletic important places.. Great suggestions for restaurants and shopping. as well. Extremely flexible and accommodating.
- stacibrown45100Salem tourDerek was wonderful! He took us to several locations throughout Salem while also giving us some free time to look around and do some shopping on our own. The ride was smooth, the car spacious and comfortable, and with all of Derek’s stories the trip went by quickly. Thanks so much for a great adventure.
- LyraeT00Absolutely fabulous - highly recommended!HI there, Myself and my two daughters took this tour on our recent trip to Boston. Derek (our driver and guide) arrived at our hotel bang on time, our meeting time arrangements, pickup and locations were simple and efficient. Derek had a wealth of knowledge being a local - had loads of information, Boston and local history, movie locations, anecdotes of famous characters, the Boston Tea Party and how the Revolution kicked off, being from the area he knew loads. The movie locations were amazing, Derek knew all the great locations of movies from The Town, The Departed, Gone Baby Gone, Good Will Hunting, even stopping at bars and pubs from the movies for a bevvy, telling us little tidbits about the movies, TV shows and locations that only the locals know - all in the comfort of his amazing Audi (not sure of the model but a big comfy one). We went all over Boston, to world class bakeries in the North End, over to Charlestown, South Boston, Boyleston Street, taking us to some special places, retail shops etc again only the locals know about.. One cool thing, Derek put on a scene from the movie 'The Town' on his dash screen we could watch as we actually drove past it - fabulous! I cannot recommend this tour enough - Derek was fun, informative and professional. Do yourself a favor if you're into movie location tours or history, or just as a 'Get to know Boston' introduction Derek can customize your tour basically to what interests you - my daughters and I had a fabulous time and came away with so much local knowledge... We loved our time in this amazing city! Highly recommended.
- dyannd5700BostonDerek was great and a lot of fun! He made the tour seem more like a new friend showing you around his city instead of those official tour guides that stick to a script and site. The flexibility that allows you to modify and suggest specific sites you would like to see made the tour even better. Derek is very knowledgeable and was more than willing to answer any questions or provide suggestions on places to eat or see. A great way to see Boston.
- 07lisa0900Do Not book This TourI booked this tour two weeks in advance through Viator and received a confirmation email. I was in Boston for one day visiting from a cruise ship. On the day of the cruise I called the limo service 15 minutes prior to the tour to let them know of our location. 20 minutes later the limo service called me back to tell me our tour was canceled stating they didn’t have a driver for the tour. They explained they called Viator to cancel and Viator told them not to contact us the clients, and Viator would contact us. I never received a phone call, email or refund notification that the tour was canceled from either company. When I called Viator they told me the tour was confirmed. They called the limo service and the limo service explained to Viator the tour was canceled. I had to ask Viator to issue me a refund as they still didn’t understand what was happening. I was traveling with my 80 year old parents and Viator couldn’t offer me a reason why the communication didn’t take place between the limo service and their company. I explained how disappointed I was because if I had known the day before the tour was canceled I could have made alternate plans. If you are looking for a reliable tour to take place on the date and time you booked do not book this tour. No one will contact you if it’s canceled and you will be left wondering what happened with little explanation or customer service. This was a terrible situation to be in an unfamiliar place when it’s hot and with elderly parents. This experience was with Viator, but since the tour is offered on Trip Advisor I want to make potential customers aware of the situation was in as the limo company could just as easily cancel a confirmed reservation with Trip Advisor with little to no warning.
- rms194900Historical BostonHe was a great guide with a lot of knowledge and experience regarding the History of Boston. He was very flexible and attentive to our needs and interests.
- David K00The only way to go!Derek was excellent. To have a private driver take you on a tour of Boston makes the experience so much more enjoyable. You pick and choose where and what you want to see and do. I wanted to incorporate part of the Freedom Trail route with this tour and he kindly accommodated that. I love that there’s no rush or following a crowd aimlessly. It was in, out and go - important when time is of the essence. We got great tips about where to eat in Boston and we even stopped to buy one of the infamous Boson cream pies from the best bakery in Boston. When we got notice that our flight was delayed for five hours Derek dropped us to the train station so we could catch the Amtrak to NYC. This turned out to be a saviour as it was ultra comfortable and so enjoyable (we will never fly from NYC to Boston again ) plus we ended up ten minutes from where we were staying in Manhattan. We had spent a day in Boston, ostensibly for a campus tour of Harvard for my daughter, but also to learn as much as possible about the birth of Independence, as quickly as possible. The Flexibility with Derek allowed for that, plus we went in the afternoon which was the only time we could go and other tours only left in the morning. Super commentary too, insightful and funny. We left so much more knowledgeable than when we started. We were only two people but if you had six it would be much cheaper per person. Plus with the SUV you feel safer and you could see much more. Derek is an excellent driver and he knew when traffic would be busy and worked the schedule around that. All in all it was a super experience.
- lisa l00Vip tourWe had the VIP tour of the pubs in Boston... Derick was amazing and did a perfect job. Picked us up in a sweet Audi SUV and gave us a great detailed tour... We would totally recommend the VIP tour, worth the price.... we love Boston and will be back!!
- claudiov58200Boston to ConcordIt was an awesome tour and our guide Charles from Elite Limo Boston was the best. He was very accommodating and exceeded our expectations. He showed us several of the historical sites and was very knowledgeable. Anytime we return to Boston we’ll use his services.
- shawnW67300Bad driver experience—rough 4 hoursIf we had a better driver, this would be a very different review. Here’s my experience. (And if you look at my other reviews, they’re normally very positive. I also tried to email the company before writing this review, but their supplied email doesn’t work.) I booked the 3 hr private Freedom Trail Tour several months in advance as I wanted my two teenage nieces and I to end our cruise in Boston on a high note. The company had strong reviews on Trip Advisor and was described as high-end. This was not our experience. Our guide’s English was hard to understand—my teenage nieces understood little of the conversation—but that was minor compared to our other complaints. Here’s a detailed listing: 1) when he picked us up (a tad after the meeting time, vs most drivers who are there waiting for us) he had a cup of Dunkin’ Donuts coffee in his hand. The front seat was full of various personal stuff that he had to move aside so I could sit down. Way too casual and messy vs what I was expecting. 2) he immediately told us that the car we had was an upgraded vehicle (it was a basic SUV) that should cost an extra $150. It took a lot of conversation before we clarified that there was no extra charge. He also told me the customary tip was 20-25% (!) very off-putting and a poor start before we were even out of the cruise terminal. 3) He had the drivers seat pushed all the way back, and the seat inclined all the way back, so my (petite) 13-yo niece had the seat pressing against her legs. After the first stop, I asked him to move up his seat so my niece had leg room—he gave her about an inch or so. She was uncomfortable the entire tour. 4) the front seat was so full of his stuff I had his constantly-buzzing cellphone by my leg and his gum and other stuff sliding off the console onto my lap. 5) the entire time it was clear he had a bad cold or some kind of sinus infection. I even asked him about it early on, hoping he’d get the hint and take an allergy pill or something. He coughed, snorted and hacked nonstop. Only once, at the end of almost 4 hours, did he even bother covering his mouth when he coughed. Extremely gross and my nieces were freaked out. 6) it was a blistering hot day, hours-long tour, and we were offered no beverages. I’ve had Lift drivers provide cold water, but nothing from him. 3-1/2 hours in, I saw a water bottle in the pocket by my door and said, “is this for us?” and proceeded to confiscate it for my nieces and I. He didn’t seem pleased. We did enjoy seeing Boston, but dreading every time we were in the vehicle. It was a bad experience. I travel extensively and have lots of drivers/tours for comparison. This experience fell far short of my expectations and the description of services.
- Heather M00Great service and reliable!Last week we went to Boston and were travelling with two seniors with mobility issues and a 7 month old and a 3 year old so we booked with Elite Limo for quite a few runs throughout the week including airport transfers. They were always on time, the cars were immaculate and in good condition. Derek ended up driving us for the week and he was so pleasant, easy to talk to and fun it made a great stress free week for us. One night we got dropped off to a restaurant that didn't turn out to be what we expected and had to call Derek to turn right around and come back for us to take us to another restaurant and he did it with no problem or complaints. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this service and we will be using them again in August on our return.

This was a wonderful way to see Boston. My husband has limited mobility and our driver was so great about taking us as close to each stop and accomodate our limitations. He recommended great restaurants...bakery for the best ever cannolis (Bova) and a heads up on stellar pizza Regina's in the north end.. We were picked up at our hotel and after a very interesting and informative tour he dropped us off at or hotel at the end.We never felt like we were on the clock...such a nice experience. It was perfect from beginning to end. We had our two grandkids with us and he gave tons of historical information and loads of jokes to keep us all happy and invested. Best way to see a big city with lots of history either as a preview for your future sightseeing or if you have limited time. AAA+++
