My favorite part of the excursion was the tour narrator, Hercules he was exceptional with solid information, informative and quite funny. If you are in Boston please get on his tour bus, he would encourage you to ask each dog owner we pass by to pat their dogs. It was hysterical. Exceptional job done Hercules!!!

We thoroughly enjoyed getting on the trolley and hearing about all the points of interest. We'd had a very bad experience in Washington, DC so we were a bit afraid of another bus tour, but this was so awesome! We got on at stop 5 and stayed with the same driver to stop 15 - I'd love to remember her name - Savannaah or some long name that began with an S. She was so helpful! We got on the bus late in the day and were really afraid to get off at a stop for fear we'd miss the rest of the tour. She encouraged us to get off at the Tea Party museum and it was and excellent choice!! She also assured us we'd have plenty of time to catch a Trolley after the tour. Batman picked us up after that and it was his last stop. We knew he was only going back to stop 1 but that was closer to Little Italy where we were trying to end up. He actually got told us the best part of little Italy and drove us up a bit closer! I only wish we'd had an extra day in Boston so we could have gotten the 2 day pass.

“You can hope on and off whenever you want” is more accurately “you’re going to need to hop on and off if you expect to see anything. But be warned that there might not be a seat on the next trolley for you.” While the guide was friendly and entertaining, there frankly wasn’t a lot to see without getting out and walking around, something we really didn’t risk doing because at every stop we saw people try to get on the trolley when there were no seats available. It would be painful to wait 1/2 hour for the next trolley. Over and over again. There was tons of “do you see the tip of that steeple way in the distance. You can get out here, walk three blocks and check it out. It’s closed on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, but you can go check out the outside.” And “we can’t stop at Fenway park or Harvard, but you can get out here and take a subway three blocks away.” That type of thing at almost every stop. You’d figure that if there wasn’t much to see, this would at least be a good form of transportation. Nope. It hits the perimeter of town mostly, but almost each stop basically points you to the center of town, something you could easily manage on foot if you just walk the very manageable freedom trail. And you’d see much much more in 1/5 the time. If this trolley ran in two different directions you’d have a good selling point as it could be a good way to get around town. I’m not really sure why it doesn’t just zip straight down the middle of town where you can actually see stuff, perhaps because it would be a 20 minute tour. The few places that MIGHT interest you (if they’re not closed such as the tea party boats and just about everything else) you can take a cheap cab to. You don’t need pay $50 a person. If I ever visit again it will be a walk of the freedom trail and maybe a cab to one of the furthest points on their map (maybe the USS Constitution or the tea party?). My pocket would be $200 heavier and my day would be half as occupied. Seems like one of the biggest features of this tour was the terribly designed roads, jammed up with double parking and construction. Stop 1 is the only one you need. Get a map and walk around in that area. Find the freedom trail, get some cannolis, hang out by the water.

We were sorry to read our tour did not meet your expectations. Our offering is a guided sightseeing tour, with a live narrator. Our stops are located near the popular sights and attractions in the area. You are correct, we have a tour, not a door to door service. Our guides, their narration and little known facts and tips, are the key to enhancing a guests visit. We offer a satisfaction guarantee located on the customer service page of our website. Read less

No where near enough busses. We were stranded at stop 6 for over an hour, 4 busses passed us by. They all stopped just to tell us there were full. The excuse was the cruise--if so, they should limit ticket sales to what they can handle. We ended up taking an Uber back to the cruise ship and losing out on Boston Commons, the Freedom Trail, etc. Only do this tour if you're not planning on getting off.

The bus drivers were excellent, great personality and very knowledgeable.
Need to improve the getting on process.
We came by cruise ship and pre-ordered our reservation. When we got to the pickup location, lots of people waiting for trolley. The individual manning the booth had no idea how long it would be until the trolley was going to show up.

I would not spend my money again and pre-order.

We were only in town for two days an opted for the HOHO Trolley Tour. Our tickets were for two days and we found them to be extremely helpful. We had different drivers on each of the two days and got a different perspective from each. The information they gave us was invaluable and entertaining, We were able to hop off at the stops we chose to visit. Highly recommended for the first time visitors.

Forget about taxi's and Ubers to get around Boston, the only way to easily see the town is on the Hop On Hop Off. The driver/guide was quite knowledgeable. The route takes you up to or very close to all the historic sites.
One caution for cruisers, the "short walk" to the trolley stop may be debatable. The stop was probably 1/2 mile from our disembarkation point.

It was pelting down with rain when we saw the trolly coming we were next to the stop and flagged it down the driver who calmed our anxiety about not having a ticket We promised to close our eyes and block our ears until we paid. Taylor was very informative and humorous making light in a very gloomy day. Often describing what the sheets of rain hid If raining this is terrific way to keep dry and learn about this wonderful city. Highly recommend this tour and hope for Taylor looking forward to ghost tour tomorrow night
