- lexihall120 contributionsAwesome experience!!We had an amazing time! Our guide was great and very knowledgeable about the history of the river. I would recommend this 100%!Written September 13, 2024
- 627shinys0 contributionsDon't miss this tour!Eric was an amazing guide! Me and my husband were on the tour with two other guests. We learned how to operate the bikes and went over basic group communication before heading out together and Eric was an excellent leader who looked out for our safety and made sure we had a great time. We were impressed that he seemed to know everyone and everything about Asheville. Definitely worth your time, a very comfortable ride with the e-bikes and pleasant atmosphere made the conversation flow. I am also a non drinker and felt very included! Thanks for the ride :)Written September 8, 2024

- suehawk120 contributionsIt was ok.They didnt prepare us for all of the rocks we had to to manuver through and did not tell us how to maneuver through them. If I had not been an experienced kayaker, I would have been very nervous. The day we went, the current was slow and the wind was blowing and we had to paddle the entire way. It wasn’t really a relaxing float - not their fault. All you really see are thick trees and more thick trees. After 2hr we saw a partial view of the Biltmore House between the trees. It was ok. Not great. But the employees were super nice.Written August 20, 2024
- 5cyndie0 contributionsAwesome experienceThis was our first white water rafting experience and what a way to set the bar. Our guide Greta was amazing, we were laid back yet paddling when instructed. We experienced some great class 3 rapids and Greta knew her way through the obstacles. Definitely recommend fitting this into your visit to Asheville! For the record, the other guide today, Josh was also awesome. Everyone made us feel so comfortable. Thanks!!!Written August 20, 2024

The water felt great, the scenery was beautiful, and our guide Basil was funny and knowledgeable about the river. The way the company operated the whole activity from arrival then to the river and back was incredibly smooth. We also appreciated all their safety instructions and procedures. - Sunshine4982200 contributionsExcellent tripThis was a fun rafting trip that was not very difficult. The views were beautiful & our guide was very good! I would definitely recommend this trip. I was disappointed that cameras were not allowed but I do understand the why. It would have been fun to have some action shots along the way! Great trip - highly recommend!Written July 30, 2024
- K1937GUashleyc0 contributions10/10 Recommend!Awesome White Water Rafting trip! Staff are knowledgeable, personable, and fun. We had a blast with Nick as our guide. The outpost is close to town and they take care of everything. The bus drive to the drop off point and back is windy so if you get motion sick, bring your Dramamine. Great experience and would 100% book with them again.Written July 29, 2024

Dave was a great guide who was well versed in the history and daily life in Asheville. With only six guests, it was easy to follow Dave's dialogue as well as his riding instructions. The bikes were up to the task and were equally capable on the city streets and on the hills out of town, It was only in the upper 40's when our ride departed, and the company demonstrated their generosity by loaning the riders brand new gloves. I recommend booking this tour early in your visit to Asheville because it provides a very good overview of the city and will help you get your bearings as you explore later, in greater detail.
I would have rated the experience a 5, except that the description of the tour indicated it was a mountain tour. We spent most of our time in and around the city with a ride out to the Omni resort. It was a 5-star tour, just not the on described on the company's web site.

Thank you, Asheville Adventure Company, for a magnificent morning ride through the mountains! Our guide Grant led us to some spectacular views and was super friendly, informative, and attentive. He also provided great recommendations post-tour for lunch, craft beer and a nice hike. The e-bikes were comfortable and gave just the right acceleration when needed while still allowing for just enough cardio. I highly recommend this tour and Asheville Adventure Company for a unique and fun way to experience the beauty of Asheville.

This was a wonderful bicycle tour and so much fun. My husband and I loved it. Grant was our guide and he knew so much about the area and the history of the area as well. We rode up to the beautiful Grove Park and and he gave us a wonderful tour of that as well. I would say this is one of the best e-bike tours we have ever been on.

Reese did a wonderful job guiding us through historic Asheville neighborhoods and on a beautiful ride through neighborhoods perched on hillsides above the city. I was worried since it has been many years since I have been on a bike, but the e-bikes are very easy to use. And so much fun to easily go uphill and be able to enjoy all the Fall scenery. The Grove Park Inn stop is magnificent. Our teen girls loved it, would HIGHLY recommend!

We highly recommend this tour! This was the best tour we did while in Asheville. The ebike is super fun to navigate through various terrain. The bike was in great condition, you can tell the tour guides take good care of them. You must know how to ride a bike to join this tour, there were some challenging aspects to the ride that I would not recommend for a novice rider. The guide was super attentive and informative throughout the ride. We saw many historical areas and rode to and then past the Grove Park Inn.

Our experience today was fantastic. As very amateur bike riders, we were both a bit nervous b/c we never used E Bikes before. They were perfect for this adventure into the mountains. They give you just the amount of assistance needed, when you need it. Our guide (Harrison, I think) was very knowledgable on the area and we stopped frequently so he could describe unique facts about neighborhoods, architecture, history, etc. There were about 10 of us all together on the trip and he did a good job of making sure everyone was keeping up. This was just the trip we needed to get out of downtown Asheville for a half day to explore the outskirts of town. Highly recommend for when you are ready for some non beer related activities.

Eric was our guide and he was 10/10. My husband and I aren’t city people and he made us feel so safe and well taken care of. We had the best tour of Ashville while Eric provided us with history of the town and the views were amazing. We even got to see a bear on our tour. If you’re hesitant to book don’t be. Also my husband and I aren’t experienced bikers and did the path without any difficulty…thanks to the E Bikes and our tour guide!!! Thank you :)

I wasn’t sure what to expect on this tour but it was fantastic. My husband and I have been to Asheville several times and both agree it was our favorite tour. Riding up a mountain effortlessly and viewing beautiful scenic views was the highlight of this trip. Shout out to Harrison who was an amazing guide and was very attentive on keeping everyone safe while providing historical information.

Wes was our guide for my wife and I on the mountain e-bike tour. The trip was awesome, we traveled down the greenbelts in Ashville then rode up Sunset Mountain. The views were incredible. With the e-bikes the ride was relatively easy and fun! We also stopped by the Oak Grove Resort and then completed the trip by riding along the river and the River Arts Area.
Wes was extremely knowledgeable of the area and local history. Had a great time!

Great ride, electric bike allows you to work as much of as little as you want. Rudy did a great job making sure we were safe, educated on how to use the bikes, and did a fantastic job sharing history and giving us greats places to stop for picks as we peaked the mountain side of Asheville. I highly recommend it! Thank you!

Where all does this tour go? It just at says Asheville and looks like Oak Grove

Did not know the area at all and that is precisely why we took a guided tour and had our first exposure to e-bikes (which was fun as we bought some when we got home!). Started at Riverside, went through Montford Historic District and other city sights, had an elevated scenic outlook stop along the way and a stop at Omni Grove Park Inn before heading back to Riverside starting point. 3hours total and e-bikes remove any concern about distance fatigue.

Is this a hike through the mountains ? Or only via the roads beside it?
Written August 11, 2019
This is a bike tour through mountain neighborhoods. They do have hike tours. Ask this question in the hike area.
