Stop by for a Family-Friendly Gem Mining Experience at Elijah Mountain Gem Mine. No reservations needed. Located just outside of Asheville. Feel like an explorer from the 1800's and mine for real gemstones. Keep what you find! Each bucket is guaranteed to include one or more of the 40+ types of semi-precious and precious gemstones available at Elijah Mountain such as Rubies, Emeralds, Sapphires, Amethyst, Topaz, Garnets, Aquamarine, Quartz, and more! Buckets are available in multiple sizes, and the experience typically takes about 1 hour.
After your gem mining, explore the grounds and make a stop at the Gem Store or the on-site goat farm where you can pet and feed the goats and chickens. Spend the afternoon outdoors with a picnic at the private creek located just a quick walk from the mining area.
For those looking for scenic views, explore some of the Mountains, Waterfalls, and Nature Trails located near Elijah Mountain Gem Mine. This experience is not to be missed!

This place is amazing!!!!!! I love that they have different buckets at different price points and the crystals in the shop are amazing. The staff it extremely friendly and I am definitely coming back here!

The kids loved finding cool gems and the buckets were full of a ton of stuff for them to find. They also found a geode and were able to see it cracked open!

Absolutely loved mining with my family and my sisters family. Not just a great time for the kiddos but for us adults as well! :) will definitely be back every time we come to the area! Probably our new favorite spot!!

No, you dont have to pay to watch...but you may feel left out! They have a few different types of "buckets/sizes" to choose from. I suggest that everybody go in on one large bucket!
