Foot, f***, hand. A spa day in the desert.
Crack Camp with Mary, Brittany, and Sam was amazing. From the first meeting we were learning and getting packed full of knowledge. I learned how to move my body in new ways, was freshly exfoliated, and felt proud of how I improved. I cannot wait to go back and would recommend this camp to anyone who wants to play in the desert with some absolutely incredible, kind, and generous people.

      Awesome Canyoneering Experience
Amazing setting for hiking and rappelling, with views across canyons. Kenzie was a wonderful, energetic guide armed with fun facts about the local history and biology. Highly recommend the canyoneering with family or friends.

      Exceptional
I don’t really know how to express my gratitude for Jake Scheinman and Ben Wu. I did an AAIRE 2 course and not only are they extremely knowledgeable and proficient but they are extremely understanding and inclusive. I have an ongoing knee issue and was open from the very beginning about it and they encouraged me to give it a shot if I felt comfortable. It was the push I needed to be able to go spend an exceptional day with these two. I was slower than the rest of the group and never did I feel like I was a burden or an inconvenience. They uplifted me and made me feel like a part of the time despite my struggles in the course. Red River is hands down the best guiding company in the Wasatch. I have interacted with a few different companies and this one continues to exceed my expectations. Thank you for supporting my adventurous aspirations. I couldn’t do it without you.

      Airie 1 avalanche safety class
I did the low ratio airie 1 class and am very happy that I did so. As someone that has been touring for a few years now and snowboarding in the Wasatch for over 15 years I thought I had pretty good knowledge about snow safety. But I definitely learned a few helpful things and it’s also always good to have a refresher on the knowledge you do have. I would definitely recommend taking this class if you are trying to get more knowledge about traveling in the backcountry safely. The guides were very knowledgeable and helpful with any questions or concerns.

Brian was great to work with and was very patient with the group. Very informative and had us on the ice within the hour after we got to our destination. Will definitely be using Red River again when visiting. This is the second time we have went through them and they never disappoint. Hopefully Brian is around when we come back in a year or so.

      Ice Climbing 101
Our guide Brian is helpful and Knowledgable. My wife had some issues to hiking up to the frozen waterfall and he went above and beyond to assist her. He certainly has great knowledge in ice climbing and was able answer the questions we had and constantly correcting our ice climbing movements. He recommended to make it a half day climb due to the warm weather and known hazards that might be associated with it. I thought that was a good decision as half a day would suffice for beginner like us.

I did an all women’s avalanche level one course and it was incredible! Vic is a talented instructor and professional in all areas relating to snow, skiing, and group dynamics. As an outdoor educator myself, I had a 10/10 experience learning from her. Highly recommend!

We did the full day rafting trip and the entire thing lasted 6 hours, but only 3.5 of those were actually on the water. There were about 60 people that started various rafting tours at the same time as us and so checking them in, loading up buses, driving to the put in point, and getting everyone onto boats took a long time. The scenery was beautiful and the guide was decent, but there was a lot of lulls in their interpretive guiding and in the river itself with long slow flat stretches. The few rapids we did were pretty fun, but short and few and far between. We eventually pulled out of the river and again had to wait quite a while for all the boats to come out and then everyone load back onto the buses and then drive back through most of Moab.

I need to start with the staff are great, very friendly and fun. The tour itself I’m disappointed to have paid almost $500 for basically paddling a boat with very few rapids. For several hours in a boat and to only hit 5-6 rapids doesn’t seem worth it to me. We had extreme wind and with only 4 of us in the boat (2 smaller kids) it was brutal and we were all wishing the trip was over with still 1.5 hours to go, not fun. Did a Razr tour the next day which I wish I could get this money back and repeat that tour, so much fun. Unfortunate but wouldn’t recommend this tour, too much work, too little fun.

There are indeed "limited rapids" on the Fisher Towers trip, 7 to be exact. The same amount we note in our descriptions of the tour on TA and in all our marketing. We want to let anyone reading this know that not everyday is windy. For the majority of our season wind is not an issue at all. Windy days are generally only a factor in the month of May. Our trips operate outside and we have to deal with the weather Mother Nature gives us. Sometimes trips are a bit more work than sitting in a vehicle but we do our best to make the trip enjoyable no matter the conditions. We are disappointed that our incredible staff wasn't able to overcome the conditions on this particular day but we will continue to try to excel in any conditions.

Such a fun adventure!!! The whole experience was pleasant from booking to getting off the tour! Kenzie was our guide; she was super down to earth and you could tell that she loved what she was doing. We sadly got stuck taking our tour on a randomly chilly day in June but even with that unfortunate circumstance it was a blast! Perfect level of rapids for us. Definitely worth the 12 hour drive from California.

Our first trip down the Colorado River was amazing! Seth, our guide, was very knowledgeable of the water, rapids, surrounding rocks, and the local area. We had a raft for our own family of four; staying safe during Covid with social distancing. It was great to cool off in the river, and the full day rafting trip was a perfect way to spend the day in Moab!!!

Honestly one of the best adventure experiences I've had. The area is absolutely gorgeous. Our guides (Adam and Charbo) were amazing! We had a fairly large group and the experience was awesome! I also highly recommend doing the full day, as doing the half day would have seemed to be way too short. I would definitely do this again.

We had such a great time on the full day fisher towers trip. Our guide (Leaky) was fantastic! He carries the perfect balance of being knowledgeable, professional, calm, and hilarious.

We had one teen in our group who had never been on a river or in a boat before, and was clearly nervous. By the end of the trip, and with our guide making him feel so comfortable, he was having the time of his life and even swimming outside the raft (when it was safe to do so).

Overall, while the scenery was beautiful and the river was great, it was the Red River guides and their exceptional care and service (not to mention the entertaining stories on the bus) that made this such a delightful experience.

Nice experience with fun guides and beautiful scenery. Enjoyed swimming alongside the raft. Just be aware that the bus drive to the launch area is 45 minutes and the ride back is 30 minutes. This drive time is within the 1/2 day experience. I think all the outfitters are the same so just an FYI. Barely any rapids in August 2021. For sure no more than class 1.

This was our first river rafting experience and it was super fun! Red River does an excellent job running it. Even though there was a huge group (multiple families) on the trip, it was very smooth. They took us to Fisher Towers on a white school bus with plenty of open seats. James gave us a tour of the area on the way there. Hunter was our guide on the raft and he did an amazing job keeping us safe, confident, entertained and smiling. He was super energetic and very fun. From what I could tell, all the guides at Red River were charged with tons of positive energy!! I was glad we did the full day water rafting. Some people finished half way since they only did the half day and I wouldn’t have wanted to be done at that point. The full day is the perfect length for this adventure.

This was my kids first river-rafting experience and it was full of fun and memorable.
When you arrive they are ready to go, they fit you for your life vest and there isn't much waiting around. It's about a 40 minute scenic ride to the launch point. Where the guides tell you about the surrounding area and you can check out the beautiful views of the area.
The guides are all knowledgeable and fun, making us laugh along the way. We passed other companies on the river and it didn't seem as though they were having as much fun, it looked rather dull. Our guide was Ian and he was knowledgable and entertaining. My oldest was a bit apprehensive but Ian explained things to him and finally my son relaxed and was able to enjoy our adventure.
I would have to say this is almost a float trip, not the companies fault, it's just the time of year. So if you are looking for something more thrilling you might want to choose another time of year to go. But it is perfect for beginners or families with young kids.
During to ride you get to enjoy the scenic views of Utah. Along with that, you are able to jump in the river and cool down.
Hands down we will be back. This adventure was our kids favorite part of our vacation and are still talking about it.

This was a lazy half day adventure that was lovely. I did expect a little bit more intense rapids, but it was a good introduction for the first timers in our group. Young children would be fine on this trip and in fact there was a group of about 25 people with many youngsters around 6 - 10 years old that went at the same time as we did. The guides were awesome and just driving on route 128 to get to the launch site was worth the trip too.
