      Fun culinary and history tour
Lots of opportunities to enjoy Chinese and Italian food. Besides that, there was the stop at the fudge store! Good thing there’s alot of walking. A highlight was the tea tasting. What fun!

      Informative, delicious experience!
Lots of interesting historical tidbits about Chinatown. Our guide Bryan was very knowledgeable and humorous. He took us to several hidden gems. We walked throughout Chinatown, learned its history and the history of SF in general. We sat down to two different meals, sampling many dishes. We also sat down for an educational tea tasting. My only suggestion: less snacks to start us off to leave more room for the sit down meals.

      Scott is Super Mario
Scott was enthusiastic and quite clearly loves San Francisco. His knowledge of the City and the best places to eat were really very impressive. We loved the tour and would highly recommend it as the insights into San Francisco history is fascinating.

You will be full after this tour!
Brian is humorous, welcoming, and full of facts regarding the history of the neighborhood, along with describing the preparation of the delicious eats and the style/origin of the different foods. Historical information included the reasons for immigration and how the neighborhood has evolved over the last 175-ish years. The food is varied and allergies, sensitivities, and preferences are all taken into account.

Scott’s storytelling was fantastic! One of the best food tours I’ve taken. The history and food together were an amazing experience. So far it’s the highlight of our SF trip. Highly recommend!!

      Excellent SF food sampling
I was taking a tour of North Beach with Brian and a Tour of Chinatown with Isabella (SFFoodtours) and enjoyed myself a lot! The tours contain plenty of food, so come a bit hungry. You get a chance to walk it off! Notably, we learned a lot about the local history and culture while getting unique access to obvious and hidden favorits in the area. Would recommend!

      Scratching the surface of Chinatown
If I could add more than 5 stars I would. This tour also points out landmarks and history in the area, as well as culinary history. Andre was an excellent tour guide, explaining from a standpoint of someone who's unfamiliar with the area an in depth history and culture associated with the historical district. The food was good and has vegan/vegetarian/gluten free options. Walking the streets of Chinatown was the closest thing to China we'll personally ever see.

This tour was fabulous and fun! Cynthia our tour guide took us to very interesting stores, restaurants and streets/alleyways in both Chinatown and North Beach. She also was very knowledgeable of the areas and the history behind the neighborhoods. Delicious food and variety of dishes - definitely go hungry :) We were very glad we booked this tour.

Fun overview of Chinatown and North Beach
What a fun tour! There is a lot crammed in, so be ready to move. It was a nice introduction to Chinatown and North Beach, and we enjoyed learning about both neighborhoods.
