- Guide4838840681400Amazing tour, Steven is a wonderful guide!Excellent tour, Steven was very friendly and he had a lot of enthusiasm and love of Yosemite. He was very efficient and accommodating, he could not have done enough. He shared a wealth of knowledge about the park, showed us so many amazing tourist attractions in the park. The tour was very well structured, the transport was very comfortable and it was a thoroughly enjoyable day. Steven was excellent, fantastic guide. Would highly recommend this tour. It was super! A definite highlight of the holiday!
- Susan H00Fabulous and very memorable tripHaving looked at a variety of options, previous fabulous reviews led us to this company and we weren’t disappointed. Communication at the point of booking was excellent. On the lead up to the trip the day before, and on the morning of the trip, the communication to confirm arrangements was perfect. Steve Schwenka, our tour guide arrived at our hotel at the expected time and from the moment we stepped on the bus we felt welcome and well looked after. The trip was perfectly planned with great stop offs both on the way there and back. Steve’s excellent knowledge of the area and his absolute passion for it, completely made the experience. We had a fantastic day which couldn’t have been improved upon.
- whatanannoyingsignup00Definitely recommendedIf you want to see Yosemite but only want to spend 1 day getting it done then this is absolutely the way to go. Communication from Brian was excellent - contacting us the day before to organise pickup times to make sure we would beat the crowds and have enough time at all the main sights. He brought great passion and enthusiasm to the tour and made everyone feel very welcome. The smaller group atmosphere was nice and we enjoyed chatting to fellow travellers.
- 287erwint00Must go!Went with my girlfriend and was everything as expected! Steven, our guide, provided an amazing tour experience (from pickup to drop off) for our group of 14. The drive there from San Francisco was around 3.5 hours and another 3.5 hours heading back. But Steven gave us 2 documentaries to watch about the history of Yosemite and hyped us heading there. The stops during the tour allowed us to take beautiful pictures all over the national park! The national park was breathtaking. Would bring sunscreen if you burn easily as you’ll be outside for nearly half the day. Overall would recommend this place especially if vacationing at a nearby city for a week.
- chrisrB8939TA00Great day in Yosemite if short of timeVisiting the Yosemite Falls and being able to walk up to the base of them. There were also amazing views of the rocks. Steven was a great guide who got us to where we needed to be and kept us informed about what we were looking at.
- angelabF6391UG00Tour guide ruined what should have been an unforgettable experienceWe would not hesitate to take a trip again as Yosemite and the redwoods were just stunning. However my initial interaction with the tour guide Victor, was very poor, with him yelling at me for being late ( we weren’t and arrived at 6am as stated in the original email received from the company) .. Victor claimed that he/ the company had contacted me the previous day to confirm an earlier pickup time (no email was received). He continued to berate me as our family of 5 boarded the bus and said that I needed to apologise to the other customers. This was a very distressing start to our day and completely soured the experience for our family…. Not acceptable!! Ours was a once in a lifetime trip to the States and what should have been one of many highlights was ruined by Victor who continued to make reference to our supposed lateness throughout the day. I cannot recommend a tour guide with such woefully inadequate people skills !!
- Amy S00Amazing!! Book this tour!!It’s been 2 days since this tour and I am still talking about it! Do not hesitate and book this tour!! Yosemite was THE highlight of my trip to San Francisco! It’s a LONG day but do not let that stop you from booking. The ride to and from Yosemite went by so quickly, our guide kept us entertained between his knowledge about Yosemite and documentaries we watched on the bus. Victor was our tour guide! He was fantastic. I have nothing negative to say about this tour. I would do it again in a heartbeat!
- Diana Z00Outstanding Trip to YosemiteI always wanted to visit Yosemite but it seemed impossible to get a hotel reservation there. I saw this day tour advertised and added it on to a short trip to San Francisco. I am sooo glad that I did! Steven was an excellent guide ( probably the best one I have ever traveled with ) He confirmed pickup time & place the night before the trip & texted a few minutes before punctually picking us up. The van was very comfortable and the tour company provided extra water bottles which were most welcome as the temps in Yosemite Valley were much warmer than my phone's weather app predicted. Steven had lived & worked in the park for several years so was extremely knowledgeable about its history, best spots to stop & take photos, and an excellent driver. El Capitan, Bridalveil Fall, Yosemite Falls, & Half Dome were spectacular! We even saw a bear on our hike to the sequoia grove. The video on history of rock climbing in the park was interesting & helped pass the time on long drive back. Overall, this was a tour that was well worth the cost.
- E9963MMdavidi00Yosemite tripThe tour guide (Phil) was exceptional. The place is magnificent. He helped us take pictures. He gave us great histories of Yosemite and the villages around it. The fact that we were 14 made the tour more agile. 100% recommendable.
- Matthew S00Brian made the tour - excellent guideBrian made the tour. Extremely knowledgeable and the day is organised excellently to ensure all the major spots are visited in the day.
- Akshat117900Wonderful experience doing the Redwoods & Coastal tour and Yosemite tour with PhilWe spent 2 wonderful days doing the Redwoods, Coastal and Sausalito tour and the Yosemite day tour with Phil. Phil is extremely personable and made us including our 2 kids very comfortable. I really liked that this is a small group tour. Phil did an outstanding job optimising our time at Yosemite - this is a very long tour (14 hours) from San Francisco but the way that Phil organised the whole day was amazing. We never really felt rushed despite covering so much ground. The Redwoods and Coastal tour was outstanding too - the fact that this company visits Armstrong Woods instead of the very crowded Muir Woods is a good thing - we had the Armstrong woods all to ourselves! Phil took us to some excellent places for coffee, lunch etc. His decision to take us to the farmer’s market at the end of Yosemite tour for some organic fresh fruits was perfect. And not to forget - Phil takes you to the very best photo spots! I would highly recommend Best Bay Area tours while visiting San Francisco.
- D3240IWcarlag00Tour packed with surprisesPhil was FANTASTIC! He knows the area so well that we avoided the crowds. Armstrong was peaceful and beautiful. The picnic on the beach had stunning views. The location to take pics of the GG Bridge was definitely a locals only viewpoint. Also loved his Playlist! I highly recommend this tour!
- Kate J00Yosemite was amazing! This was the most epic day of my life. Victor was fantastic, and Yosemite itself was amazing. I wish it could have been longer but i suppose i will have to come visit again!
- V3292OKmaryw00A great day!We had a fantastic time on our trip to Yosemite! We had plenty of free time and saw some amazing sights while exploring. Our guide Brian was great! He was knowledgeable, entertaining and responsive to all questions or concerns. He made sure we saw as much as possible and got us very close to a lot of the highlights, making for a very memorable first trip to California. I definitely recommend this trip!
- Laurence L00Amazing trip with Best Bay ToursA great tour , our guide Steven was very knowledgeable and fun , I have wanted to visit Yosemite since I was a kid and it was worth the wait.

I did 3 tours while on vacation in San Fran, and this by far was the best!!! The place they take you to see the redwoods is great. It wasn't crowded with tourist and allowed you to take your time while walking through the woods. The Kendall Jackson winery is amazing and very accommodating. When we were there they moved us inside for our lunch because it got up to 111 degrees. The food and wine pairing were spot on. Would highly recommend!

Bottom Line: If you want to a quality and relaxing experience, this is the tour for you.
First, we walked the Redwoods in Muir Woods. Park entry fee included in tour price. Almost any tour company can provide this truly wonderful experience among the Redwoods. What they may not be able to provide is our tour guide, Don Stace, who, in my book, was the perfect guide for this tour: Professional, easy going, a desire to make this a memorable event, and a wealth of knowledge and experience about these environs.
After the Redwoods, we set off to the Kendall Jackson estate for wine pairings with a 4 course culinary lunch. On the way, Don chatted about wine making, demonstrating a superb knowledge of the complexities involved. The estate was absolutely beautiful and available for us to stroll. The food was some of the best we have ever had and the wine pairings for each course was perfect. Now, aside from a top notch tour guide, here’s the difference between this and other wine tasting tours. On other tours, you may get worn out hopping about to several different wineries. On this tour you get the QUALITY of a leisurely experience at a top notch winery with an excellent meal. It was perfect.
So, if you want quality over quantity, this is the tour for you. To enhance this already wonderful tour, ask for Don Stace as your tour guide. You will not be disappointed.

We love this tour. Phil was super accommodating and flexible with our pick up and drop off needs along the route! The timing of the tour was great with plenty of time to explore Muir Woods. The tour of Kendall jackson was delightful, walking through the gardens, tasting the grapes off the vine and then having by an amazing meal!!! Everything was so good and we loved getting to know our small group of tour buddies.

Going into the tour, we weren’t sure what all to expect. Everything was so much fun. The food and wine was of course delicious and the trees live up to the hype. Our tour guide, Anthony was as personable as he was informative. He had so many tips for taking pictures and had umbrellas at the ready for us in case we needed them. I appreciated all of his commentary on things we saw, giving historical context and advice on things we might want to check out during our stay. Would definitely sign up for another tour with him.

Our tour guide Steven was great. Very communicative, he came over to pick us up right on time. He's a local so he knows the best spots and times to tour. The food and wine were excellent. We were lucky enough to share with other three couples with the best vibe ever. Totally worth it. Would do it again. Highly recommend it.
