Small tour, not rushed, great experience
This was a wonderful trip. I was picked up near my hotel and taken to the Visitor Centre where the tour started from. The bus to Napa Valley and Sonoma was comfortable and the driver was nice. The tour wasn't rushed and the wineries were all small family owned with fabulous staff. The winery tours were informative and hosted by lovely staff. I met really lovely people. Lunch in Sonoma wasn't rushed and gave a little time to walk around. Highly recommend.

    Marco made the tour
Great experience with Marco. Wineries were lovely. Marco was a fantastic guide. Only reason I haven’t given a 5 was due to other people on the tour that were rude/inconsiderate

    Great Customer Service
We unfortunately didn’t make it to the tour as my friend fell walking to the tour and seriously injured herself. We immediately contacted the company while on the way to urgent care. They were so caring and responsive. They helped us resolve the issue and i will definitely book with them the next time I’m in San Francisco!

Our trip was great! Our tour guide was both knowledgeable and entertaining. He took good care of us. The winery tours were also good.

    Nice tour guide!
We loved the tour guide Patrick! He was kind, funny and knowledgeable. He made a personal connection with everyone on board. He was really knowledgeable about the redwoods and even talked about their genetics. I loved the guy! He made it fun.

Great introduction to the Napa Valley!
My son and I thoroughly enjoyed this opportunity to get a glimpse of the Napa Valley. The wineries chosen made for a nice variety of sizes and settings to enjoy great wines. A longer follow up trip to the Napa Valley is called for . Thank you!

    Terrible customer experience
Providing a functioning bus is how you improve your tours. You do not leave 60 people standing at the corner of Mason & Post for 2 hours waiting for a replacement bus which never arrived. Then, tell those same people that they'll "get refunds". Kudos to Tower and Grayline for ruining my vacation because they have no idea on how to create a backup plan when a mechanical breakdown occurs. Many thanks for ruining my vacation Grayline & Tower Tours. I will never forget.

    Muir Woods
I loved the Muir Woods Visit and Sausalito, but not so much the winery tour. If I were to do this again, I would do Muir Woods and Sausalito, then take the ferry back to the city. The wineries we visited were nice but not great. They are small Italian-influenced shops, but I expected something grand since CA is famous for its valleys.

    Wine Country
Two of the three wineries was a great experience. Could have skipped sutter homes everyone was ready to leave early. Last winery was an awesome experience exactly what we expected. Our host was great explained the growing process and how the different wines are made. Our first stop was at a small family owned winery they showed us how to wine taste and inspect the sugar content. What goes into each type of wine. Our guide very nice but couldn’t understand most of what he was saying. He didn’t tell us much about what we were seeing during our journey. Stop at Sonoma for lunch was great. I would recommend this tour.

Great trip. We could’ve spent more time there but for a half day it was great. We ended in Salsalito and took the ferry across.

This is the tour you want to book!
My girlfriend and I went on this absolutely amazing tour in late May 2023! From start to finish, the tour met and exceeded our expectations. Tower tours kept things on a schedule but it did not feel rushed at all and was very relaxing! The day was full of smiles, good food at lunch, and most importantly...GREAT wine! We strongly recommend this tour to others!

    Napa wine tasting day
We had a full day tour and wine tasting in the Napa Valley on a comfortable coach with a WC. Our coach driver was excellent, very informative chat en route. The first stop was excellent with wine tasting and a short talk about wine production. We were shown the barrel room and how to taste the wine correctly. The second stop was more of a selling event and not so interesting. The third stop was very good, informative and stunning surroundings. There is a lunch stop with lots of restaurants which is very nice to walk around. A fun an enjoyable full day.

    Definitely do this
Everything from the drive over to the hikes were breathtaking. A truly unique experience. Our driver James filled the entire ride with commentary, trivia facts, and photo ops. The woods themselves are small with many accessible hikes for the time permitted. 10/10 will do again when I’m back in the area.

    First time in SF
It was a beautiful afternoon walking through the giant Redwoods. A nice way to spend time out of the city. My only issue was that our group was put on a smaller bus that was noisy and that the driver seemed to be going way too fast but he was informative when you could hear his bits of information.

I was very disappointed in our half day wine tour. The website quoted the time as 12:30-5:30, but in fact the trip was 12-7, with us not getting to our first winery at 2 and leaving the last winery at 4:47. The travel time length was exacerbated by the bus making 2 pickups in SF and a third randomly in Sausalito, which means taking the Golden Gate instead of the Bay Bridge out, adding to the travel time.

We visited Madonna Winery which was nice, but the second winery of all places was Sutter Home, which I can easily buy anywhere. Additionally, the tasting amounts at both vineyards were so tiny. I guess the price including the tasting fees meant we got mini instead of full tastings?

I wouldn't recommend this tour for Napa, especially since we spent over 4 hours on the bus for just 2 hours of tastings (and the second one was done in 30 minutes, but we had to sit there for a full hour for whatever reason). Honestly, if you have 4 people, you might as well just Uber to and around Napa and back. The company didn't really provide an incremental benefit worth booking through them in my mind.

On this tour, we visited 2 wineries in the Napa Valley, tasting 9 wines. No vineyard tour, just in the "shop" area, saw nothing about how the wines were grown or bottled, so could have been done anywhere. The tour guide had to double as the bus driver, not an easy feat in San Francisco, and didn't seem to have any particular interest or knowledge about wine - most of the chat was about property prices in the area, and local celebs. Overall, disappointing and a waste of money - would have been better just going to taste wine in the city with someone knowledgeable and interested.

It was HORRIBLE!! The ride up was informative to a degree, the driver was very kind however we rode without any air conditioning as the bus was having difficulties. We were taken to the Madonna winery where the gentleman stumbled around so much we wondered if he was new. The second winery Muscadine l believe it was called we sat outside in the cold air sipping three different wines. We were not educated at all at this place so the stumbling of the Madonna was better. We were hoping we’d learn about the different wines, what to pair the wines with etc. Both wineries only goal was to promote & sell their wines. We went to a winery in London Square where we sipped wine, briefed on the wines and educated on what to pair it with. This tour was about 5.5 hours long and it was a waste of time & money. Other than this tour we definitely enjoyed San Francisco and will return next year on our one year wedding anniversary.

Oh my gosh! Oh my gosh, this was an awesome half-day trip. The thing that made it so spectacular was Mr. Grady,
You have to ask for Mr. Grady our bus driver/tour guide. From San Francisco to the first winery stop Mr. Grady gave us a history of the San Francisco Bay area that was on matchable all along the way he gave us so much information that we would’ve never had if it had not been for him. I am still in off with the beauty that we saw in Sausalito. The first winery stop was a family owned business… We tasted six different wines that that the guy gave us the history of that particular vineyard and winery. Then we moved onto the second stop that that beautiful lawn we sat. We had snacks and of course wine. I would highly recommend this tour. You don’t just hop on the bus and go to the first stop and sleep along the way. You have to have the tour that Mr. Grady provides. Otherwise you won’t get the, unbelievable experience that I received.

Enjoyed visiting the two wineries and taste testing. The first stop was Madonna Wineries- great information about the production.
Next tour was only taste testing.
Great experience and bus driver was a great tour operator.

I did not feel I gained a lot from this particular wine tasting experience. The bus driver did not engage or attempt to interact with passengers.
We only saw two wineries and the first one was just a blatant attempt to sell products. The second winery was better and the guide did actually take us to see the vineyards close up and gave detailed information about the growing process.
I thought a small lunch could have been included in the price. Overall, a nice way to spend the day in the Bay Area, but I would shop around for a better wine tasting tour next time.

We did not see vineyards. The first “winery” simply processed grapes grown elsewhere. The “tour” there consists of standing in a barrel room while a person tells you how wine is made. (Save a lot of time and money and just Google it. Telling isn’t teaching.) The second “winery” was just a store in a house. They didn’t have vineyards or make wine there. We sat out in the yard and were given 3 wines to taste with no information about any of them. In between tastings you’re just sitting in someone’s yard waiting long periods of time for the next one to come out. We didn’t have time to actually taste the third one because the bus driver came and said it was time to go. The bus driver seemed to have a lot of information to share, but we couldn’t hear a word he said. When this was brought to his attention by several people, he was unable to adjust the PA system. The whole wasted day was only made worse by the fact that the bus was extremely warm. There are vents above your head but no air comes out of them. They should provide scenic routes and actually take you to vineyards with wineries, not stores that sell wine. Please don’t waste your money on this fake “wine country” tour.

Two visits on the tour
First vineyard was amazing. You could see the pride come through as the tour guide made us feel welcomed and described in detail the daily operation.

Second vineyard we were not impressed, very poor execution. Staff weren’t welcoming at all. It was like “here’s your wine we’ll be back”.
Couldn’t wait to board the bus

My mom & I did this tour last week and we both loved it! It was great to be able to see Sonoma & Napa Valley - and visit one winery in each. We also got a brief tour through Saulsalito & got great views of the Golden Gate Bridge on the drive over. We got about 5 tastings at each winery & got to learn about how wines are made at each. I think this was the perfect amount of time to still be able to visit wineries if you are short on time during your visit to the Bay Area. I would definitely recommend this!

Excellent trip, excellent option. We didn't want to spent a whole day in Napa Valley and this half day tour was an excellent choice.

Our guide GEORGE was great. His explanations of the places, the history was very very interesting and complete.

The two wineries were very different and interesting in their own style. One of them was a boutique and organic winery the other was a more massive and traditional one. Both deserved visiting.
