    Beautiful views and informative
Entry into Alcatraz and wonderful views of the bay on the ferry. Can adjust your schedule to split up Alcatraz island and the bay tour another day. Would recommend.

    Disappointed and still sore
Beware of this tour if you are older or are tall. The transportation Sprinter van uses the 4 seats in the very back row if it is sold out. There is so little leg room for these seats that my 6 ft tall husband and son had to sit sideways to fit. Trying to climb over the wheel well to get back there resulted in a thigh bruise for my son and a knee injury for myself. The tour guide was unwilling to do anything about the situation. At the first stop, the other customer that was jammed back there with our family offered to have his wife move back there with him. They were both young and short. A second younger couple kindly offered to sit back there too. So, our family was able to move up to the third row. Muir Woods and Sausalito are beautiful but I would find another tour to get you there. Fourth row seats should be for children or very short adults.

The tour was great because it was a small group. Robert, our tour guide, had lots of interesting information and facts about the things we were seeing. We had plenty of time to enjoy Muir Woods and Sausalito.

Package is well worth the price!
Buying the package through Trip Advisor was more expensive than you’d pay in person, but tours to Alcatraz book our very far so it was well worth it. The service to Alcatraz and tour of the site itself was awesome, would definitely recommend to anyone visiting San Francisco. It was really nice that the Bay Tour that came with our package could be taken any time, not just on the day of our reserved Alcatraz ticket. The tour of the bay was wonderful, I definitely recommend lining up at Pier 39 at least 30 min before departure to get a good place. It should be noted that you get a voucher from the tour company that needs to be taken to the physical ticket stand to print a paper ticket before boarding. Overall a great experience, everything was seamless and we really enjoyed our time!

    Poor communication
When I arrived at pier 39, I was told that I needed to walk to pier 33 for the Alcatraz tour. That wasn’t shared in the booking. The tour was fine but we didn’t take the cruise which was from pier 39 because of the wind and cold. Overall, I thought Alcatraz alone was enough.

    Great tour!
Great tour! Anja was a friendly, informative and fun guide. She seemed genuinely interested in providing a great tour. Left on time. Stops at palace of fine arts, Vista point, Muir Woods and Sausalito. Good timing for each. Enjoyed meeting others visiting the area, from France, Portugal and Guatemala. Van was very comfortable.

    Do Alcatraz only.
Awesome visit to Alcatraz! Do the audio tour. It adds so much to the experience. The additional bay cruise is a scam. Don't do it. The cruise is a separate booking at a different location. You still have to wait in a line for an actual ticket and then in line for the boat. Don't bother, but Alcatraz was great. Plan ahead! They sell out.

    Great Experience
Great experience. Unfortunately one of the tour guides didn’t show up so they had to find a replacement. So glad they did!! Ollie was fabulous. A lil confusion on tickets entering Muir Woods. Ours were included in price, whereas some booked through a different website and there tickets were not included. Ollie, because he was new, paid for everyone to enter with his personal account. Those who didn’t pay, gave Ollie the money. We already prepaid in our package, so hopefully he will get reimbursed for our tickets. Other than that lil glitch, everything else went well. We opted to take the ferry back, instead of the van. We wanted to spend more time in Sausalito.

We did this trip as a group of 4 with tour guide Roman. Usually we don't write reviews but would like to share our experience this time because we were really quite disappointed.
Our morning was successful with the trip to Alcatraz, the van was nice and so were the other guests. On the way to Muir Woods, tour guide Roman talked about the bay area, golden gate bridge and Muir Woods. He spoke very conversationally and the information was quite unstructured and superficial.
In Muir Woods Roman reminded all of us specifically to be at the bus on time. All guests were back at the van on time, however Roman had decided to go on a nice personal bike tour (with his private bike he was bringing along in the back of the bus) and showed up 5 minutes late. Of course, this was not a big deal to us but it somewhat alienated us.
We also liked Sausalito. On the way back from Sausalito Roman again was very conversational and unstructured. He really made us feel like he was just a friend showing us the city he lives in.
In the bus there is a large sign pointing out that it is customary to give a 20% tip and Roman pointed out the sign three times during the trip (not very subtly although masked as joke).
We were the last to leave the bus as other folks had been dropped off in different places. However, since we didn't feel like we had had a very great time, we decided to tip Roman significantly less than 20% of our combined 4 tickets.
Roman got aggressive, started to pull out the cash that other customers had given him to show it to us and shouted at us how we could dare to give so little a tip. His aggressiveness was very discomforting and really worked all of us up.
Roman is very unprofessional and I cannot recommend him as a tour guide. Consequently, I can definitely not recommend this trip.

The tour was nice and it was nice to not have to worry about transportation or reserving tickets. It would be possible to get to Muir Woods and Alcatraz without the tour and may be cheaper, but if you don’t want to worry about getting tickets and figuring out transportation in your own this tour would be a good option. I wish we had more time at Muir Woods. There were areas we did not have time to explore and we felt rushed to stay on track with the tour times. We will most likely to explore Muir Woods on our own instead of a tour if we come back. We ate at Scoma in Sausalito and I highly recommend it! We did need to put our order in quickly and ask for the check right away to stay on time with the tour and it would have been nice to spend more time there.

Dear customer, I am happy to hear that you liked the tour. Muir Woods is so beautiful that we would like to spend the whole day there. During the hour and 15 minutes that we give we think it is plenty of time to see the best of it. I think it is a great idea to come back for longer on your own. Scoma's is one of our recommendation for a sea foods lunch, so yummy! Sausalito is also very beautiful. But during this tour you can enjoy all of it and it was so good that you wanted to stay longer. We love that. Thank you for being so kind

We're very disappointed. Would've been better off driving ourselves. The "tour" offered nothing beyond taking us to the places on the itinerary. We were rushed through experiences where we would've liked to have stayed longer, and forced to stick around to wait on other people in areas we would've rather passed through. The best way to describe this "tour" would be to call it an "overpriced Uber." The only positive thing I have to say about it is our driver was very nice, funny, and hospitable. That's the only reason I'm giving it a 2 star rating. Save your money. Drive yourself or use public transportation. Biggest waste of money on our entire trip.

I am sorry you had this experience please email us faycal@mustsee.world to have more info about what's happened. We take a lot of efforts to give a good experience and a guided tour with infos and facts along the tour. We stop at Muir Woods, Golden Gate Bridge, Palace of Fine Arts, Sausalito. And when you are in a small tour with other people we do the stop we are supposed to do as described. Now it seems that you would prefer a private tour and we would love to do that for you next time and stop anywhere you want and as long as you want, the price will be slightly different though :)

The communications about the tours and tickets info from the Must See Tours were very straightforward and easy to follow. We booked the 9:10am tour and visited the Alcatraz first, which took about three hours total. It left enough time for us to get back to the Pier 33 for lunch before the pickup time at 12:50pm. I would recommend get to the Pier 33 early and catch the 8:40am ferry since they boarded 8:40am and 9:10am tickets at the same time. Ben picked up us on-time at 12:50pm and continued the tour to Muir Wood and Sausalito. We have stopped at the Golden Gate Bridge and Palace of Fine Arts briefly during the trip for some photo shoots. Another benefit of booking 9:10am tour is that we get to choose the drop off location of Union Square which is just right next to our hotel. This tour was great for us since it was our first time in San Francisco and stayed only for a few days. I would recommend this tour for anyone who wants an easy travel experience.

Our tour guide was great i really enjoyed the whole day . Giving 5 stars ⭐️ because it was worth it, however i didn’t read all the fine print and your tour starts on Post street (Hotel Zeppelin - which we stayed at was nice hotel and nice location for trip ) - ends at Pier 33 , it’s over an hour walk back to where you started or a $20 uber , heads up ! Also Muir woods additional $15 pp , also in fine print - not taking anything away from the tour , it’s worth !

We loved the entire experience! Faycal was a wonderful tour guide, very accommodating, and provided many facts of the sites throughout the tour. He is entertaining/funny.

During our tour we stopped by the Palace of the Arts and the Golden Gate Bridge which were basically added onto the trip (not included when originally booking). My only recommendation would be to provide more time while in Salsolito and to try to get the group to see the boathouses up close.

Fabulous! The driver told us about the city while driving to the Golden Gate Bridge and had fun driving through eucalyptus trees to the Muir Woods. The experience of a primal forest is absolutely reverential... a sacred place. The mandatory $30 tip felt like rip off. Just include it!

I feel this was an over priced ride to Muir Woods and too short of a stay in Sausalito. You have to get yourself (own expense) down to the wharf for the Alcatraz tour and a quick trip to Muir Woods. Sausalito was like a half an hour stop! Should have been a couple hours, as the time we were allowed was not even sufficient to see anything or do anything there. Approximately 1/3 too high in price imo, especially when you are expected to tip 20%. The tour guy, Robert was great, but I did another tour (same size) from 6am to 9pm for about 40$ more AND they picked up and dropped off at your hotel!!!

The joining instructions were very clear and the tour itself was all that was promised. Anja, our guide, was very friendly and gave us good information about the history and present of the places we visited and wider area. The only sour note was that we had to pay ourselves to enter Muir Woods and I had assumed this was included in the cost of the tour.

Our tour guide did a fantastic job. He was knowledgeable and funny. The van was very comfortable. He stopped at a few places for photo ops: Golden Gate Bridge and Palace of Fine Arts. Muir Woods was a great place to hike and see redwoods. It was an enjoyable 1.5 hour hike that we did on our own. We went to Sausalito for lunch. It is a cute town. We chose a pizza place right on the water. At Alcatraz, the only thing open was the audio tour of the prison. You will need your cell phone for this. Actual prisoners made the audio and told their story. It was very interesting. The other areas of the island were closed off. I suppose for renovation.
