    Ripped Off
The Flyer falsely advertises that the flying over SF is 20 minutes. It’s really only 5-6 minutes per employee. They told us they couldn’t take any coupons given by our hotel because they were bought out. They also claimed they haven’t updated the website because of the buy-out. Just know you’ll be ripped off paying $14 for a 5 minute experience. Complained to manager and she wouldn’t given refund, only offered to do a different Flyer experience.

    Fun ride, really friendly staff
We went in with very few expectations just looking to kill some time. The staff were really friendly and welcoming. The story was OK, the ride would work fine without it but I didn't mind watching for a couple of minutes. I assume it probably kills time when the ride is busier. The ride itself was really fun, a little blurry but nothing major! We both really enjoyed it and were really pleased we made the decision to go.

    Too blurry!
I wish I had read the reviews. This was very disappointing. I’ve done the one in Seattle and it was great. I was expecting similar quality. This thing was so blurry!

    Made our stomach queezy
It was a fun ride if you like fast and like a roller coaster! The floor drops and the rails go down and you are flying up and down and all around...

    Not bad; could be better.
I rode one of these same rides in Vancouver, Canada and it was MUCH better. Although both rides cost $25.00, provide a fairly comprehensive overview of the key sites of they area, and give you the sensation of flying, the Flyer Over Canada one had 4D effects such as weather effects, including rain, snow and rapid temperature changes. And you could smell the wheat as you flew over a field. There was even one part where you flew through the contrail of a plane and they blasted you with CO2 so it felt like you were really there. These things totally immersed you into the experience. Whereas, The Flyer in San Francisco had none of that. It was nothing more than a 3D movie with motion seats. Very disappointing.

    Nope
$25 each for 5 mins of blurry 3D. Missed opportunity to explore highlights of San Francisco. The introduction before you enter the 3D part is disjointed and you have to ping-pong between three or four screens to get the storyline. We were hoping for so much more after being on similar rides elsewhere. My wife complained about the blurry images and was told “that’s the way it is sometimes”.

    Pretty good but quite short
This was a fun ride but in my opinion it was far too short given the price. Had a cute back story. Great concept.

    A Blast!!!
Two couples had so much fun on this ride!! The staff was very nice, short intro gave you the plot and then...... wow!!!! You were flying all over SF like a bird. We were all screaming, laughing, sometimes closing our eyes ( some of us anyway). Something perfect to do before dinner with friends . ( Went to Fog Harbor which was excellent).) We’re going back in a few weeks as another couple we know wants to go on this. Andxwe’re all In our 60s..... ha!!! Fun fun fun

    Great fun!
We had a lot of fun riding The Flyer in San Francisco. The staff was great and very friendly. The ride lasts about 5 minutes and definitely gives you the sensation that you're flying, We also enjoyed the story line and thought it added to the experience. We will definitely do it again.

    Nauseating Experience
Great expectations of a flyover of all the iconic features of San Francisco and the surrounds. Unfortynately we were mislead by rides with similiar names. This ride was a nauseating thrill seeker ride in 3D which did not allow you to enjoy the sights and had it lasted any longer they would have received my breakfast. Could not possibly recommend this ride for anyone other than those seeking to enjoy such feelings

    Waste of money
We were excited to see this, but it was very disappointing . The concept is great, the actual film was cool, but for the price the experience left much to be desired. Totally not worth it!

    Nice introduction to the city
We did the Flyer on our first day at San Francisco and found it a great way of pointing out key sights to visit. We experienced no queues and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The overall ride was enjoyable but the price may have been a bit steep for how short the ride is - however, we received a discount with our hop on hop off tour bus tickets. They take excellent pictures that can be purchased afterwards however they’re only sold in packs of five and can’t be bought individually which we found disappointing.

    Don’t waste your money
It’s 25.00 for a total of 10 minutes. The 3D glasses were blurry. Had it been longer like other ones I have done in Disneyworld and Seattle, it would have been good. Highly overpriced for the quality and time you get.

A vertigo filled ride, not for the weak stomach
I actually enjoyed this visual ride. Your legs are dangling during the ride and nothing to hold onto, but the views of California are from a birds eye point of view some of the time. I liked this one.

    Fun for all ages!
We went with kids 8-13 and adults. The staff could not have been nicer and more helpful. We got the groupon discount and an additional discount afterwards for a nearby restaurant. A great addition to an already fun Pier 39. We’re locals but brought our out-of-town visitors and everyone loved it. Will go many more times!

My family and I went on the flyer. It was not worth our time and money. The ride gave us motion sickness. The screen was blurry and the scenario was quite cringey and too fast moving. And for the amount of money we paid, we thought it was very short, not even 10 minutes like we were told. Would not recommend, instead go see the sea lions for free as they are way more entertaining and would not make you sick.

On the website it takes your money but you get to the activity and there is signage for closure due to Covid19.
Not a happy camper. It's been a pain trying to get a refund. Call before you book an make certain they are operating.
Will try to update if refund is given*

They made several improvements including escape from the rock, which I haven't tried yet. I tried the new Across America flying adventure. Very well done, I found myself holding onto the bars on the side of the seat. At $14.00 a person it's a real bargain. Please check with them on pricing they offers combo tickets. Of course flying over San Francisco is also available.

We have done some similar rides in the past and we found this one underwhelming. The name can be somewhat misleading as you sit in a chair that moves on its base. You are not lifted in the air like on a ski chairlift which is what the other experiences we have done were like. The movie itself is probably 7-8 minutes long and the story was a little cheesy. You do get to see the most important San Francisco sites and some views are really awesome. However, there are times where the action is happening so fast on the screen that the image is blurry. You get the feeling you are on a rollercoaster and it can get nauseating if you are prone to motion sickness. If you like this kind of ride, then this one is probably for you. But it just wasn’t our cup of tea. Staff was nice and friendly and I really like that they paid close attention to security (as they should), by individually checking all seat belts to make sure they were properly secured.

The kids enjoyed this as we did it at the end of our trip to SF, and it is kind of a fly by of all the places we'd been!

However, its nowhere close to the experience of Soarin' at Disneyland, which is what it models itself on. You aren't truly in the air and the screen isn't as immersive.

I enjoyed the ride portion of the attraction and getting to virtually fly around the San Francisco area. But everyone in my group (both guys and girls) agreed the attraction could have done without the love story.

Decent ride for the amount of money you pay. Would do it again but only if a friend hasn't tried the ride.

Magical experience ‘flying’ over and through favorite San Francisco locations. A throughly lovely moment of escape and exhilaration. Guided by super friendly and knowledgeable staff, riding on state of the art technology, and marveling at the wonder of the beautifully designed experience, it’s been our favourite moment since we arrived in SF.
Go, you’ll love it.
