Following a prompt pickup from outside our Hotel in San Francisco, we were greeted by the very personable Anthony who was our guide for the day. Taking us a scenic route out of the city, we were treated to some very informative information, often combined with some very amusing personal experience stories which made the journey to the Sonoma Valley pass in no time. We also stopped at a beautiful spot under the GG bridge for photos which was a very welcome addition.

We visited three Vineyards, Homewood, Peter Cellars and Mayo Family.

The three Vineyards are considered boutique based on cases produced offered completely different experiences, which we found kept things fresh through the day.

It is clear Anthony's working relationship/friendship with all three means they are all very accommodating and willing to go beyond what would normally be expected in a Wine tasting session. Although the Wineyards are there to sell Wine, there was no forceful selling and the laid back attitude in all three meant we bough more bottles than we probably would have otherwise.

The whole days was very relaxing and thoroughly enjoyable, I have no hesitation recommending Edge of the World to anyone visiting San Francisco and will book with them agai when we return to the Bay area for another trip to Wine Country.

Cheers Anthony, James & Laura.

Couldn’t have asked for a better tour. Anthony is the perfect guide, making you feel like you’re out for a drive with friends and not on a tour. He knows his SF and wine country like he was born here, but surprise, this native of Britain relays all that info in a silky smooth accented radio voice. Don’t go with one of those massive bus tours and to all the fancy name wineries. Our shuttle picked us up from the hotel and we had one other cdn couple, and a family of 5 from Britain. We all got to know each other fast which made for a fun trip. Anthony took us to three boutique wineries and the information you get from smaller dedicated winemakers is far better than any high quantity wineries I’ve been to. If you’re sitting down looking at all the different tours you could take, just stop now and book this one.

Wonderful and relaxing experience. Our tour guide Anthony's charm and wit immediately put our tour group of 9 at ease and the tour very quickly felt like an outing among friends. More importantly, though, Anthony was knowledgeable about all things San Francisco and wine. He had a story to tell about virtually every street corner in the city and also did a great job preparing us for what to expect at the wineries we were about to visit. We visited three boutique wineries with a broad range of offerings. There was something for virtually everyone in the group and although there was no pressure to buy virtually all of us bought some wine.

Highly recommend this tour!!! From the moment we were picked up from our hotel, Anthony had us laughing and engaged in all the fun and quirky facts about San Francisco, Sausalito, and Sonoma. He made an effort to point out interesting places along the way and made a bunch of great recommendations. At each winery we were met by people who were fun, engaging and clearly passionate about wine. Overall it was one of our favorite days in San Francisco , on our mom and sisters girls trip. Additionally, Anthony was willing to take plenty of photos of everyone at each stop. I was impressed by the communication prior to the trip with Marc from the Company contacting me days before to make sure we had information about the hotel pickup. The van picked us up exactly as communicated and the whole day was perfectly scheduled. Book this tour now!!

I had the immense pleasure of having Anthony as my guide during the great wine tour. We had an absolutely amazing time conversing with the people in our group, tasting wines and learning about the history of San Francisco, Sausalito and Sonoma. Anthony was just amazing. He was funny, entertaining, knowledgeable and really knew how to make this trip an absolute blast. I highly recommend Edge of the World Tours to anyone as they have all sorts of tours available. No complaints whatsoever and worth every penny.

We loved our April tour with Edge of the World so much that we scheduled 2 more tours during our October week stay in Mill Valley. Marc is an amazing guide. He's very relaxed and didn't make us feel rushed. The first day we stopped at Healdsburg, small town loaded with charm, to buy pastries at the famous Costeaux Bakery and enjoy window shopping. After that we went to Robert Young Winery. What a view and beautiful tasting room, not to mention their great wine. Our host was so friendly and welcoming. We wanted to stay there all day! Our second stop was Medlock Ames where we had some more great organic wine and delicious cheese tasting out in their lovely outdoor area. The second day we visited the historic Buena Vista winery. The wine was great and the service and surroundings are beautiful. From there we went to the town of Sonoma for lunch and had a picnic in the square. Our last winery was Abbott's Passage where we spent the rest of the afternoon sitting outside surrounded by vines drinking their delicious wine as well as amazing food pairings and bites. All in all, the tours left us wanting more. We shall be back!
I highly recommend Mark and Edge of the World Tours for anyone who wants an unforgettable wine tour.

Our tour guide, Epaul, was extremely friendly and knowledgeable about the geography and history of San Francisco as well as wine. I enjoyed the tour a lot!

The only thing I would recommend is to make the stops at the last winery and Sausalito shorter and come back to the city earlier. Coming back around 5pm as opposed to 6pm would’ve made it easier to make evening plans in the city while my time in San Francisco was limited.

My family and I took a trip to San Francisco for my 60th birthday. We wanted a trip outside the city and given our time restraints pick this one although none of us are particularly into wine or alcohol. Turned out to be an amazing choice. Anthony was wonderful - funny, flexible, knowledgeable- everything you could want in a tour guide! We had several little stops at picturesque sites and all 3 winery offered a totally different experience. Definitely a memorable trip! 💞

If you’re thinking about booking a wine country tour, select this one immediately. Marc was incredibly thoughtful, entertaining, and humorous, and he went above and beyond at each step of the day. He made so many accommodations to make the whole group comfortable during this era of Covid-19, and he made it his personal duty to give us an incredible experience. He will take you to some of the best winemakers in the region, and you’ll feel like you are getting special treatment as he is personal friends with all of the winemakers, making the day even more special. I honestly cannot think of a single point of criticism, just go book this tour already.
