We booked our VW bus experience well in advance, and payed the slight amount extra for our group of four to have the bus to ourselves. Masks are required in the bus and our driver Judith, who arrived a few minutes early to our hotel to get us, was very friendly and professional and kept hers on the whole time. The tour lasted four hours and took us to places way off the beaten path, and also included the well known spots as our group included first time visitors and seasoned veterans. Even us vets were impressed with Judith’s depth of knowledge and the interesting finds along the way. We easily got in everything we wanted to see and more. And we appreciated being asked at the start what we wanted to include. The VW bus gets lots of attention as well as you are driving along with The Grateful Dead blasting out of their really good sound system. They allow food and drink, even alcoholic beverages, on the bus which I wish we had known in advance as we would have come more prepared. Overall it’s a great way to see the city I. A different way, and it’s highly recommended. Bring your vino!

Living in the Bay this was one of my first actual drive around tours. We met our awesome driver and tour guide Cyrus at the meet up location and hopped into our very cool muralized VW Bug station wagon. We drove around the entire city while being provided the rich history and finding out somethings this Bay Area native didn't even know. We stopped for photos at the Goldent Gate Bridge and Lombard Street which was a nice little icing on the cake. The tour was just over 2 hours but my girlfriend and I loved it and recommend it to anyone who enjoys the hippie history of SF but SF history all together. Truly was a LOVEly experience. Thanks Cyrus.

Excellent way to get to see San Francisco on a beautiful sunny afternoon. The VW van was really cool, and Tyler was an amazing guide - loads of information, really friendly and very chilled. I’d highly recommend doing this tour early in your trip as it will help orientate you and give you ideas about where to spend your time in this great city. ☮️✌️

This was a type of hop on, hop in tour. Our guide, Tara, was a riot. She introduced the city in a way we have never experienced before. Our tour was only 6 people, so it immediately felt like family. Tara drove like a pro and we saw all the sights in a two hour tour that never felt rushed. Hop on, hop off tours are fine...but if you want to know the city, not just see it, buddy up with Tara and skip back in time a bit. One warning...the VW bus has big sun roof windows that aren't tinted. Believe it or not, we New Englanders got a bit sunburned after the tour! Go Figure!

A super fun experience all the way around. Cyrus arrived on time at the agreed-upon meeting spot and was friendly and professional from the jump. The tour itself was really informative; I lived in the SF Bay Area for 7 years and still learned a ton - and my teenaged niece and nephew, who had never seen SF before, had a blast. The fact that Cyrus grew up in SF really added to the tour; his personal anecdotes and experience added a lot! The van itself obviously added to the fun and allowed us to access places a large bus never could. The stops chosen for photo opps were perfect and well-timed... and it gave a great overview of the city so you can decide where to go back and spend more time. Highly recommend!!!

Great way to see the city on a small but unique tour that covers so much more than the big bus tours being peddled across the city. Or tour guide and driver, Tyler, was fab and gave lots of tips and useful advice for touring the city on our own. The only thing I’d say that could be improved is that it would be great to have a longer tour option with short stops at the various locations. Perhaps this is offered and I didn’t spot it on their website? I would highly recommend it though and was conveniently located pickup right by the Argonaut hotel (that we happened to be staying at).

My family and I had a great time on the San Francisco Love Tour. Our tour guide, Tyler, was informative and has a wonderful sense of humor. We learned so many things about San Francisco that I just don't think would have been covered on one of the more "traditional" tour buses. I loved the more personalized experience of seeing the city in a small group of 6. It was also fun seeing so many people on the street taking pictures of our VW bus as we passed by. Thanks, Tyler, for an unforgettable experience!

Getting a great overview of the city to help plan our next few days adventures. Judith was our guide and did a great job showing us the different areas of interest and adding some details to each area. My wife and I were fortunate to be the only passengers on this tour. I believe they can handle six at a time in the mini bus. Well worth the time for the private intro to the city.

Hands down the best city tour I have ever been on! Alan was a legend! He was really fun, informative, took some amazing photos of our family and made sure we had a fantastic time.
What a way to see the city! You feel like one of the SF attractions on every street corner with everyone taking pictures of this awesome little VW bus. I cannot recommend this tour enough, do not waste your cash on any of the other tours , this is the only one that matters! Thank you again Alan , it was the best!

We had a groovy time on our SF Love Tour with Judith! Her skill while driving the vintage VW van with a stick shift on steep streets in traffic was impressive. We saw many sights in the city in 2 hours and enjoyed all the stories Judith shared with us. Bring out your inner Hippie and have a great time on this tour!
