      Excellent fun! Do it!
We booked a 4 hour private tour - 4 people (3 have been to SF before, 1 was a first time visitor). Dave was our driver & made our tour informative and fun. and was very accommodating to our interests, schedule & needs. The VW van gets a lot of attention. This is a great way to see the city - nothing but fun, start to finish!

      Awesome - Thank you Tara!
Tara was amazing and fabulous. She knew so much about San Fransisco and was the best guide we could have hoped for.

Our tour was not as advertised. Bad tour.
We were so exited to experience what they advertised. No luck. They tout in their advert two stops for photo opportunities. Our driver didn’t stop once. Didn’t say anything about this until the end, and only when we questioned her. She said you only get one stop and it was too busy to stop. Not even an apology. Felt like false advertising! She also barely engaged with us, read from a script on her phone while driving and turned the music up in between so loud we couldn’t even talk with each other. Basically seemed like she just wanted to get through the tour and be done. I tried calling after, left a message, wrote an email with no response from anyone. There is no way I would recommend. If I could reach someone I would request a refund. Other family in the car said they felt the same.

      Christmas in San Francisco 2023
This tour was so much fun. We had Dave. I highly recommend this. He brought us to areas that we would've never known about. We got to see a castle made of sugar, HUGH gingerbread house, all of the lights around town. We sang with the windows down while going through Union Square and stopped at some of the best photo spots. This was definitely one of the highlights of our vacation.

Fun, unique experience - don't miss it!
Super fun night and a great way to see the city at any time - including the holidays. Our driver, Dave, was great and navigated the crazy roads amazingly well. Keep in mind that this a unique, quirky way of seeing SF. So if you want a limo this isn't the tour for you, but if you are looking for something different and fun, this is on that list!

Do an early morning tour to see more
The promo material for this tour sounded good but only touches the surface of how much of San Fran you can see. We were on an 830 a.m. departure so we avoided any traffic issues which means you see more. Tara had great banter, good information on city history (current and past), and a good musical soundtrack. Nice to get some reviews on hidden food gems as we travel past or shops not to miss. This is an excellent tour to get the vibe of the city and see some of the more remote locations while the compact city highlights are easily accessed through public transport, including the cable car. Great vans, a slice of history and definitely turns heads, especially on Lombard st!

Paste a Smile on your face
Our tour guide was Johnny, and we had the pleasure of riding around the city in ‘Proud Mary’. Everyone who saw us had a smile on their face for our pretty little VW bus painted with famous faces from the SF era of peace & love. So many people wanted a quick pic with Mary! Johnnie was a great guide and embodied the spirit of chill and friendly with other drivers, people walking by and was very knowledgeable and fun.

      Fantastic!
This was a great tour! And definitely on my top three things to do in San Fran. We had so much fun, covered an incredible amount of area, and sang along to some great tunes. Our Guide Judy, was an expert guide and knew everything! I would easily do this tour again! This is a must do tour!

      Great Love Bus tour
Wow! What a fantastic, entertaining and educational tour led by “Tara”!!! Despite our VW bus having a breakdown at San Fran park (by the Golden Gate Bridge) our trip was great fun!!! The owner brought us another bus and we were on our way again. I would HIGHLY recommend this tour (and Tara)!

      Fantastic
Juju was our guide, a German Lady with an encyclopaedic knowledge of the City and a great sense of humour. Our 2 hour tour was absolutely brilliant, covering Presidio, Crissy Field, The Golden Gate, Sutra Baths, Baker Beach, Haight Ashbury, Fillmore, Golden Gate Park, the Painted Ladies, a drive down the Lombard Street Zigzags, Little Italy and much, much more. Every question was answered and I cannot recommend this tour more highly. There cannot be a better and more imaginative tour of SFO.

Excellent way to get to see San Francisco on a beautiful sunny afternoon. The VW van was really cool, and Tyler was an amazing guide - loads of information, really friendly and very chilled. I’d highly recommend doing this tour early in your trip as it will help orientate you and give you ideas about where to spend your time in this great city. ☮️✌️

I, my adult son, and my sister took the tour with Tara. She was absolutely fantastic! She was very knowledgeable of all the sites, told good jokes, took pictures for us and made us all laugh. I'm especially appreciative of the San Francisco Love Tour's cancellation policy. The three of us had reservations for this tour last year at this time but unfortunately my son ended up in a long hospital stay so we had to cancel. We also had reservations for the Alcatraz tour (they do not accept cancellations) and I lost about $150 so I do appreciate the Love Tour's monetary refund. This tour with Tara allowed me to have my last "hippie fix" as I am 69 years old and in 1972 I left home, hitch-hiked up and down the east coast, did the commune thing, went to the rock concerts (hitch-hiking to wherever the Rolling Stones were playing) for about a year. Loved it. Driving down Haight-Ashbury, seeing the rock star's former homes while in a van listening to the good ole classic rock made my day!!!! Thank you so much Tara!!!!!!!!!

What a great tour. My family and I, had a lot of fun checking out the sites and listening to some classic tunes. Jordan was fun, energetic and had a wealth of knowledge. The tour is a great overview of the city and introduced us to areas that we probably would have not have experienced. My favorite was driving down Lombard Street listening to Scott McKenzie’s San Francisco ( Be sure to wear flowers in your hair). Don’t hesitate and book it!

Living in the Bay this was one of my first actual drive around tours. We met our awesome driver and tour guide Cyrus at the meet up location and hopped into our very cool muralized VW Bug station wagon. We drove around the entire city while being provided the rich history and finding out somethings this Bay Area native didn't even know. We stopped for photos at the Goldent Gate Bridge and Lombard Street which was a nice little icing on the cake. The tour was just over 2 hours but my girlfriend and I loved it and recommend it to anyone who enjoys the hippie history of SF but SF history all together. Truly was a LOVEly experience. Thanks Cyrus.

Thank you Bob the driver and tour guide for making our San Fransisco trip special, the two hour trip was a real eye opener for us and Bob was so knowledgeable and we loved the parts of the tour that other tours did not reach. Forget the big bus tour guys this is the real deal. Our tour was on 28th December with our little girl and we loved every minute of it. Bob even told us to eat at Tony's Pizza in the Italian district which was superb keep up the good work Bob and when we visit San Franxmcisco again we'll do another tour, perhaps the night tour next time. Thanks John,Tracy and Ayla.

Really fun tour - people would smile and wave as we passed by. Our guide was really easy going and had a great sense of humor. If you want to learn a lot of details about the history of the city and get a lot of specific information this might not be the tour for you, but if you want to have a fun, relaxed time driving around and seeing some of the sights of the city in a unique mode of transportation give this tour a shot.

This was a type of hop on, hop in tour. Our guide, Tara, was a riot. She introduced the city in a way we have never experienced before. Our tour was only 6 people, so it immediately felt like family. Tara drove like a pro and we saw all the sights in a two hour tour that never felt rushed. Hop on, hop off tours are fine...but if you want to know the city, not just see it, buddy up with Tara and skip back in time a bit. One warning...the VW bus has big sun roof windows that aren't tinted. Believe it or not, we New Englanders got a bit sunburned after the tour! Go Figure!

Whenever we take our kids someplace new, we always take some sort of tour to get a sense of place and to find areas we'd like to explore further. While we'd been to San Francisco many times, our girls had not. This was a fun, relaxing, informative, intimate tour with just our family and one other traveler. Kirstin, our driver/guide, was warm, engaging and very much in love with her adopted city. The van was immaculate and plenty spacious for the six of us. We got lots of waves and friendly greetings as we made our way up and down the hills and through the park. We even had a mini sing-along to Johnny Cash (much to our daughters' horror!) It was great fun and we recommend this tour to anyone looking for a few hours off their feet, taking in the architecture and history of this beautiful area.

We took the Love Tour in December 2019. We loved our time with Alfred, our driver! The van was super cool, artistically decorated inside as well as out, and Alfred was friendly, knowledgeable and fun. The tour was just the right length and Alfred made sure we saw all of San Francisco's best. If you have limited time or are unfamiliar with SF, this is a great way to see a lot of what SF has to offer and learn some of its history too. Highly recommend!
