Overview
Experience the cinematic side to San Francisco on an interactive, family-friendly tour that includes clips from more than 55 movies and TV shows filmed in the picturesque city. Revisit scenes from 'Mrs. Doubtfire,' 'Dirty Harry,' 'Vertigo,' 'Bullitt,' 'The Princess Diaries,' 'Full House,' and 'Star Trek IV,' among others. Learn from an actor-turned-guide who shares knowledge of San Francisco's filming history.
Highlights
  • Tour San Francisco with an actor as a guide and see where movies were filmed
  • See classic sights and get a thorough tour of the city’s cinematic history
  • See filming locations of Mission Impossible, Vertigo, and 50+ other films
  • Round-trip transportation from Fisherman’s Wharf
What to Expect
Meet your guide at Fisherman’s Wharf and start your comprehensive tour of San Francisco’s film history. Watch classic movie clips as you go, and match the sights to the films they appeared in.
View Lombard Street “the crookedest street in the world” on your way to North Beach, pass by St. Peter and Paul Church and Washington Square seen in Dirty Harry, drive through the financial district and Nobb Hill, which made cameos in Vertigo, Bullitt, The Wedding Planner, and The Rock.
Next, stop at Alamo Square to see the Painted Ladies, and think back to the opening scene from Full House. Continue on to Golden Gate Park and relive the epic chase scene from Bullitt.
Next see views of Alcatraz, the Palace of Fine Arts, and the Golden Gate Bridge, before arriving in Pacific Heights where Mrs. Doubtfire was filmed. The tour ends at the original departure point.

The van picks you up on Fisherman's Wharf. It's near the Franciscan Restaurant, by the Red and White Fleet ticket booth.

The bus is a bit too intimate in size to accommodate a washroom. However, we had 2 stops that included a bathroom break when I took the tour in June, 2019.
