A great tour
Feb 2020
We had Nicole as our guide and she is just amazing. She really knows the history of the area and was able to answer any questions our group came up with. The food was so good. We had pizza, ice cream, tacos, sandwiches, cheese, cookies and a beer. We didn't have to eat dinner that night.
Working with the company booking our private tour was very easy. the communication great. I was on a different time zone when booking and they always got back to me in a very timely manner.
The only recommendation I would make (has nothing to do with the company) is get a ride there. the walk from where we were was basically up very steep hills (there were stairs on the hills they were so steep). we were all pretty tired when we got there. but we were also very hungry so that was a positive!!

Russian Hill -Gourmet Walks- Amazing Tour with Marie!!
Oct 2019
We choose the Russian Hill Tour because it fit perfectly into our time frame. We arrived to San Francisco on a cruise ship and the meet up spot and time were a perfect fit.
We met Marie and a super fun group of gals at a really quaint spot which allowed for some great photo opportunities,. It sat high on the hill and offered amazing views of Alcatraz and SF Bay. Marie gave great tidbits of info about the Russian Hill area and fun facts about San Francisco then we headed on to our tour.
We tasted 7 different venues and let's just say it was fun and delish!! We were totally immersed in the "Polk Gulch" and really enjoyed each restaurant and the individual experience they each provided,
1)Piz "za" - unlike anything you've ever tasted in your life
2)A scrumptious cheese platter
3)Tacos to die for!!
4)Sweet and "famous" Coffee Cake
5)Mojitos
6) Amazing one of a kind deli sandwich
7) Gelato (yum)
Marie was very attentive to the needs of everyone in the group and made the tour fun and interesting. What a great way to see and experience the sights...sounds and tastes of the city that you just might miss if you were on a typical city tour. Should you choose Russian Hill I would recommend wearing comfortable shoes and understand that you will walk a street with a slight incline.
I highly recommend Gourmet Walks and Marie and hope to see them again soon.

What a wonderful time to spend with your colleagues or even friends by eating at delicious restaurants in Russian hill and then getting a little history of the area. Lots of fun facts that I didn't even know. My team had an amazing time and were completely full by the end of the tour. We also added a drink component at the end...so ending at a bar was super fun after eating a delicious meal! Great job, and super great service! I'd do it all over again!

Fabulous walk in new area
May 2019 • Couples
We are long time owners of a fractional condo at Ghirardelli Square and come to San Francisco often. This was clearly one of the best foodie tours we have ever done.
And it was new territory for us even though close to Ghirardelli Square. We can’t wait for our next visit which will include a meal in this new area to us We will also keep our eyes peeled for more tours offered by Gourmet Walks

Russian Hill tour was a delightful experience!
Jul 2018 • Business
I had the pleasure of going on a wonderful tour of Russian Hill and tasting several delicious and unique foods in the neighborhood. Our tour was led by Marie, who was very knowledgeable on the history of this iconic San Francisco neighborhood, and kept us entertained throughout the tour by providing interesting tidbits of historical information. All of the food was delicious and I liked how diverse the options were. I look forward to returning to some of the restaurants we visited, as well as going on another tour!

Can't be beat!
Jul 2018 • Friends
Had a fantastic time today on the Russian Hill Gourmet Walks tour. This was my third tour and it never disappoints. Nicole Lewis is a delight and her knowledge of the area is second to none. I am a native San Franciscan and it's always amazing to learn new things about our glorious city. Thank you Nicole for an amazing afternoon.
