Venture north over the Golden Gate Bridge to an isolated canyon filled with ancient coastal redwood trees, also known as Muir Woods National Monument. Enjoy solitude and peace, through the cool, moist air, as you stroll through 1000-year-old trees towering 260 feet tall.
  • Explore California’s old-growth redwood trees during this Muir Woods tour
  • Avoid the hassle of making parking reservations at Muir Woods
  • Learn about the San Francisco Bay Area and Muir Woods from a guide
  • Drive through the seaside city of Sausalito
  • Choose from four tour times to best suit your schedule
  • Easy-to-find meeting spot at Fisherman’s Wharf for your convenience
  • Book in advance for a SFO Airport or other San Francisco pickup
What to Expect
This Muir Woods tour picks up from Fisherman’s Wharf, unless you’ve made other arrangements for pickup from your hotel or the airport.
Once you hop aboard your comfortable air-conditioned coach for the day, sit back and relax on your way over to the national monument. Take in views of the Golden Gate Bridge and the surrounding scenery. Your guide tells you all about the San Francisco Bay Area on your drive.
At Muir Woods, get dropped off right out front of the entrance and avoid the chaos of parking. Your admission ticket is also included. Spend time admiring the 1,000-year-old redwood trees that are native to California.
Afterward, on your return drive to San Francisco, pass through Sausalito for more views of the ocean.

We had beautiful weather which made for wonderful views over the Golden Gate Bridge and back again. The tour was very nice with lots of information. The woods themselves are gorgeous - if we get back to SF, we would definitely like to go back!!

Great spot to visit. Quite flat and mostly paved with a couple of uneven tree branches but suitable for most people. Gift shop was good. Windy road was well navigated by the bus driver. Would recommend.
