      Amazing
Outstanding views, some of the best ever seen, every site you'd want in San Fransisco is covered, and plenty of time to use restrooms and go exploring. Highly reccomend, even for the price.

The park was great but the tour was not value for money
The Redwoods in Muir Woods were amazing and definitely worth a visit however for $233 USD for two people this tour was really lacking in value for money. After a pickup downtown at 7:40am you get a brief overview of some San Francisco facts, which were good then 15 minutes at a viewing location of the Golden Gate Bridge, however given the early morning time we were staring directly into the sun making photo opportunities almost impossible. We than made it to Muir woods and only had an hour and a half, not enough time to really soak up the place and do a number of their trails. This was all self paced and no additional information from the tour company. We then got driven to Sausalito and the driver advertised all the other tours the company does for the full half hour drive. The company and driver were fine but given essentially the tour is transportation and if you were to enter the park yourself it would cost $15 USD per person plus if you factor an Uber/taxi from downtown ie $60 each way, for two people it would be $150 USD for travel and park entry and you could spend longer in the woods. Bear in mind that there is no phone signal but the visitor center can help you book a car.

Great to see the Redwoods ! 😉
Really Nice trip across the Golden Gate Bridge Muir Woods was a great experience ! The second part of the trip into Sausalito Was just ok Had dinner. It was night time and not many shops open. Maybe if you arrive in mid day and summer season the town is more attractive. Good history lesson by our drummer who safely got us to and fro. Thank You

Wonderful Bus Tour To a SF Hidden Gem
Tour Guide: A+ Charles was a knowledgable and friendly tour guide with a multitude of stories and factoids. He kept us entertained the whole trip, and was a very safe driver (see Route below) Route: A* The Route from Fisherman's Wharf to the woods was a great way to see other things like the golden gate bridge/park, and beautiful views of the bay. * The winding and treacherous roads into and out of Redwood Canyon were expertly navigated by Charles, but can cause nausea for those prone to motion sickness or are spooked by heights. We recommend bringing gravol. Timings: A- We personally would have liked more time in the woods, but we also understand that the tour has to balance the length for different types of traveller. NOTE: if you have a group BE ON TIME BACK TO THE BUS. Charles was very clear from the start that timings have to be closely met. He also gave great recommendations on ways to see everything while staying on time. When someone had thought they left their phone behind after we had departed, they asked Charles to turn back, but he politely told them he couldn't because all the other passengers also had places to be (super reasonable and professional). However this means you gotta make sure your group stays disciplined and on-time, also double check your bags before you get back on the bus.

The best bus driver in San Francisco!
This whole experience was as perfect for a tour as you can get, not only due to the amazing views at Muir Woods and the Sausalito Ferry, but most importantly due to the absolute best bus driver in San Francisco! Adolfo is a local treasure, this is the second time he’s driven us and whatever he’s making is not enough! He’s witty, very knowledgeable and super professional. He even changed a tire before picking us up! Adolfo made this whole trip an unforgettable adventure, he’s the 🐐 of bus drivers.

      Fascinating!
Fascinating, yet, these are the smaller of the Sequoias. One cannot imagine the sheer size and magnitude of these majestic, gentle giants. A must see! The pre-planned Viator bus tour from Fisherman’s Wharf was absolutely fantastic. Our bus driver aka tour guide was well-informed, comedic, and so entertaining. Don’t be late! We returned to Fisherman’s Wharf via Ferry from Sausalito because the extra time in Sausalito for tacos. What a treat-dress in layers because the upper deck is gorgeous, breezy, and cold. The Golden Gate Bridge was sparkling in the pre-sunset glow. A must see- happy travels!!!

      Muir Woods and Sausalito
We enjoyed the Muir Woods and Sausalito . We came back with the bus but the ferry would have allowed more time to eat at Sausalito.

      Great day trip
This was a great way to spend the day. The bus was very nice and clean and the driver had a lot of fun stories about the area along the way. The amount of time at Muir Woods was perfect. Because the park requires reservations and parking is a hassle, taking this tour was a perfect way to see Muir Woods. And Sausalito is a super cute little touristy town. I’m so glad we got the ferry option, because we were able to stay longer in Sausalito than the people who took the bus back. The bus only allowed a stay for 1 hour and we found that was a bit short for a leisurely lunch and time to walk around. We probably took about two hours before we decided to go back on the ferry. And the ferry is a wonderful way to see more of the bay. Our only complaint would be how we met up with the tour. There was no one at the address to meet us. Everyone seemed confused about this and ended up banding together wondering how we were going to find the bus. And when a bus did come, exactly on time, it was a small bus that didn’t fit everyone. Turns out that a bigger bus was only a few minutes behind. It all ended up ok. It’s just the meet-up at the beginning was a little confusing. We totally recommend this tour as a great way to see Muir Woods and Sausalito.

      Yosemite Day Trip!
We enjoyed a wonderful tour of Yosemite National Park with our guide - Don! The journey was comfortable, and Don was very knowledgeable. The itinerary and the rest of the participants were well organised and we had good amount of time to take in the wonderful sceneries, we would however preferred more time at bridal veil falls so we had sufficient time to get to the base of the falls. All in all, it was a pretty enjoyable trip and would recommend this tour. It makes it easier not having to worry about parking, as even in this off-season, the park/parking was busy!

      Nice Experience
Easy way to see the city, it’s like a cliff notes version. Sadly you cannot get close to Lombard street or the painted ladies, but the tour guide is wonderful (Michelle) and Jack the driver was great.

Great time hiking in Muir Woods
Had a great time hiking in Muir Woods. Leaving the driving to Gray Lines made the experience easy, fun and stress free. The ferry ride back from Sausilito went right by Alcatraz. The weather was rainy and foggy but still enjoyed the morning outing and got some great views of San Francisco.

Great tour! Greg was very professional and provided a lot of great information. We went to three great wineries, Roche, Madonna Estates, and BR Cohn. Each was uniquely different and each was fun in its own way. (Don't wait to order wines - get them when you like them or you'll miss out waiting for a better wine!)

We never felt rushed during the tour - we had plenty of time to listen to folks at each winery and also look around the vineyards and shops. Lunch was an hour and a half at Sonoma Plaza. We ate a full meal at a cute Mexican restaurant and still had time to walk around a bit before it was time to leave.

Overall, would recommend this to anyone who wants to visit Napa and Sonoma and does't want to shell out a thousand dollars for a private tour. The bus was comfortable, the drive was smooth, the information was engaging and not excessive. The wines were unique and wide-ranging, so you're likely to find something you like. The scenery, including the stop of the Golden Gate Vista point are indescribable.

If you're lucky enough to have Greg as your guide, you'll be coming home happy (and probably a bit tipsy!).

This was an excellent tour. Our bus driver Greg was amazing, what a lovely, intelligent and helpful guy.
Our first stop was at the Roche winery. AMAZING wines. Great new modern vineyard, shows you how the wine is made and we had the blonde women that owns it give us a talk and she was fabulous! She was funny, relaxed and didn’t pressure you into buying the wines, but funny I think nearly everyone on the bus bought one or two, including us.
All the wines were top class. Views were super and the host was excellent. The wine portions were very generous!
The Madonna winery was the second. A complete waste of time out the day. Much have preferred more time at Roche or b.R coney. The wines weren’t great, they take you into the barrel room and basically shut you in there to talk, then take you into the gift shop to stand in and drink. That’s it! No good view, quite run down. Spoke to a lot of the people on the tour and everyone one “ definitely could have done without that one, it was pointless”
Apparently from a local, it’s very cheap for the company to go there so that’s why they take you, to fill the day type thing.
B.R Coney was the last. The most amazing place you’ll go too. Serious views for photo opportunities. It’s outstanding the place!! However the wines are average again, and the womens speech was literally a sales pitch to get you to become a member, she wasn’t interesting or informative at all. But the view totally makes up for it and we loved it just for that!
Bus driver takes you through sonoma and it’s so beautiful it’s like something out of a movie. And his recommendations for food were great.
You should definitely book this as it’s a great experience and a wonderful day!

Drink. Don't drive. The idea of doing a scheduled tour was a last-minute decision as we originally planned on renting and driving as we had been thinking about visiting other wineries.

Our driver, Danny, was engaging and funny. His knowledge of the history of each city/town was entertaining and formative, even though English isn't his first language and some words were difficult to understand. I wasn't planning on learning history along the way.

We visited three wineries, and apparently the schedule changes. During this trip, we visited Roche, Madonna and BR Cohen.

As we crossed the Golden Gate Bridge, we stopped for photos. It was a sunny, beautiful day. then continued on to our first stop: Roche. Our winery guide, Natalie, was awesome and her fellow pourers were very generous. As our first stop, I learned more about the climate and soil, and how it affected the grapes. The 2021 Chardonnay Carneros converted me to Chardonnay. Also pleasantly surprised with my new love of Pinot Noir.

Madonna was next, and no ... there's no connection to the Madonna (lol). Our guide, Barry, spent time teaching us tips on how to experience wine from the start. Here, I was surprised by the red Zin. Pinot Noir was still a stand out for me. One winery guide, who also was the pourer, which meant lighter pours.*

Lunch was in Sonoma Plaza, where I've been and had been hoping to get back to The Girl and the Fig. What we didn't plan on was the need for reservations. We did find a tapas place, Tasca Tasca, that could seat us and was the perfect pairing for the wine consumed already. After lunch, we "popped" in next door at Sigh, a champagne and sparkling bar, for frozen drinks to enjoy as dessert.

Last stop was BR Cohen, fun to learn that he was the manager of the Doobie Brothers. The wine was really good, but there was one guide who also poured, which is harder for a large group.* The winery is a beautiful space.

*Other reviews have acknowledged lighter pours at various locations, BUT when you put the day into perspective, we drank a lot of wine for the price point. I was glad we had a driver to fully enjoy the experience.

UPDATED: (I've included my original review below)

To preface, we booked this tour for 14 people. At no point during our booking was it made an issue that this tour would perhaps not be the best fit a larger group . While I understand the difficulties in managing the volume level of any group larger than six, I will say that I have been in situations where the matter as been handled with grace. For example, when we received our initial noise-complaint the tour guide said, "can you all be quiet so other can hear what the h** is going on?" This was the first attempt to communicate with my party, and I will say it was harsh given the tone in which it was delivered. However, after a later conversation with the tour guide and throughout the day, the environment grew less hostile.

Look. I understand that everyone "paid good money" to take the tour; however, at no point in time did we present as uncompromising nor were we unwilling to adjust our volume. We were keen on managing our volume when appropriate. I find it unsettling that Gray Line would have a representative of the company suggest otherwise and urge me to strongly reconsider an honest review.

Although criticisms may not always be well-received, reviews are meant to be subjective, and I will say, as the subject writhing this review, there were moments early on during the tour where we did experience micro-aggressive behavior, but that did not impede us from enjoying the rest of our day. I would love to leave a higher rating, but unfortunately, there were enough shortcomings yesterday for me to leave a lower rating.

Overall, great tour and wonderful way to explore wine country! Met some lovely folks yesterday (tour guide and driver included, and I mean that sincerely). Highly recommend as a fun day trip.

    Original Review:

This tour is very micro aggressive and internationally undercuts people of color. My friends and I (14 Black people) went on a tour and the tour guide insinuated that simply because we were conversing among one another, we were disrupting the tour for those who had paid “good money to be here.” I find It very offensive That she would surmise that my friends and I did not. Otherwise, great day, tour guides need some work.

Hello Archellete, Thanks for your review and for amending the accusation of being hostile to black people. This was the only portion of your review that we asked to be reconsidered, and it is clear that you understood it in this way as well, based on your amendment. Our tour is open to different group sizes as long as the behavior does not disturb the experience of the other customers that join the tour. Unfortunately in your case, we received complaints from 4 different members in your tour. On the other hand, I appreciate that you rate the tour as great and a wonderful way to explore the wine country. Regards Xavier General Manager Gray Line San Francisco

43 persons in a bus ../trying to drink wine in a small area trying to not freak out because of COVID. We were so many people (even though the tour price is like if it was a small group) that on the third stop there wasn’t enough space for everyone and some people have to wait outside.
Other than that the bus driver Greg was very good he shared every detail of Chicago history during the drive to Sonoma and Napa

This was definitely a fund day in Napa and Sonoma wine country. Our driver, Tiana, was excellent! Her well informed, humorous descriptions of downtown SF were a treat in itself. Lots of new information that made our trip to SF more complete. She was also an excellent driver and went above and beyond to make sure we were able to experience breath-taking city views. As for the wineries we visited, I have to guess that it is a logistics problem that makes it impossible to stop at the best one last instead of first. I tasted some of the best wine ever at our first stop at Nicholson Ranch. The wine at the second stop was good but the third stop was so so. Would rather taste good, better, best! The lunch stop was fine and provided many good restaurants to choose from. All and all, a long, fun day. If you plan to sign up for this one, try to get Tiana as your driver as she was great!

On this tour we travelled to the Roche, Madonna, and B.R. Cohn Wineries. The drive was smooth and pleasant and the driver was very personable and had outstanding knowledge about the sites and countryside. Roche Winery, by far, was the most beautiful and had the most friendly hosts (along with the most pours). Their wine club sounded like the most laidback and user friendly of the lot. However, due to it being crush season, we did not have an opportunity to see much of the inner workings. The Madonna was very educational (teaching us how to be “wine snobs”) and had some excellent items in the gift shop. Only hiccup here was picking up a drunk couple who missed the first stop and made arrangements to catch up at this location. The tour provided more than ample time for lunch and window shopping in Sonoma Square. Unfortunately, the aforementioned drunk couple held up the bus by not returning. After an extended delay the bus erupted in cheers when we left them behind (despite having their luggage underneath the bus). We arrived over 30 minutes late to the Cohn Winery. The hostess was extremely pushy and was working more to get us in or out rapidly. Additionally, possibly due our lateness, we couldn’t explore the winery due to a wedding which was just starting. By far the most expensive wine club of the group. It could be a great venue to return to if they start hosting concerts again, but otherwise, would pass this one in the future. All in all, very enjoyable and the driver was fantastic (even making arrangements to drop off the drunk couple’s luggage at the hotel they mentioned they would be staying at after all riders disembarked).

It was a really good experience. We enjoyed the tour guide as he did a great job explaining the city’s history while being humorous. This is a really great date idea and I would do it again in a heartbeat. The only downside was the second winery we went to was Madonna Estates. We expected a bit more since the other two were great.

My husband and I loved this all-day trip from San Francisco. This is a really great way to visit wine country with the amazing perk of dedicated transportation. The bus was nice, and our driver gave us an overview of San Francisco as we drove out of the city. We stopped briefly for a picture at the Golden Gate Bridge before the drive through the beautiful vineyards near Sonoma. We toured/tasted at three wineries, two in the morning and one in the afternoon after a lunch stop in Sonoma Square Plaza. The tour starts early in the day, so I’d definitely recommend having a good breakfast since two of the tours are before the 1pm lunch stop. There were a few little snacks/pretzels and souvenirs for purchase at each winery in addition to the wine. Bottles were very decently priced, avg around $30, and wine sleeves were available for purchase in case anyone was packing bottles in luggage. Sonoma Square has several restaurants around the square, and the lunch stop gave plenty of time to finish a leisurely meal. The day was so carefree and easy thanks to the way the trip is scheduled/organized. I would whole-heartedly recommend this trip to anyone visiting SF wanting the Napa experience.

Had a lovely day on the tour bus. We experience great service right from booking to being dropped off back in San Francisco. Had a good idea of what type of wine tour it would be for the tour description (ie. a bigger group, seeing a few wineries that were mentioned so looked them up and thought it was a pretty nice varied selection of wineries) so knew we wouldn’t be able to spend a lot of time at each one. It was great for an introduction to the area. Perhaps next time will stay in Sonoma or Napa and hire a driver to get a different experience. Our driver Greg gave exceptional service with interesting tidbits about the San Francisco area, the wine country area we were visiting and the specific wineries. Also gave some suggestions for where to eat. Small negative was that there was no bottled water given which would have been appreciated as drinking wine in the hot sun was a bit dehydrating! Didn’t think to ask, however. Would not hesitate to recommend the tour!
