      Great picture of history
You can "see" it in a day, but you can't experience it in a day! We spent several hours a day for 5 days taking in almost everything.

      Personal tour
My husband and I had a private tour with Bambi. She was absolutely amazing with her knowledge of the history of Williamsburg. She is very professional yet personable and it is obvious that she loves sharing the rich history. I highly recommend her if you want the most out of your Williamsburg stay!

      Great Private Walking Tour!
Bambi did a wonderful job taking us on a private tour of colonial Williamsburg and William and Mary College. She was very knowledgeable and really knew the history of the people and places for the area. She was attentive and we even stopped at one point for refreshments. She took her time with our tour and we really felt like we were able to see everything we wanted and enjoy the afternoon. I would highly recommend!

      100% worth it!
We brought our family (ages 6-55) for a vacation that included a stay in Virginia. We are a history-loving homeschool family, and we knew we wanted to explore as much as we could there in our limited time frame. We decided to book this private tour of Jamestown and Yorktown, and it turned out to be such a great experience. Our tour guide was so accommodating and knowledgeable. Having her drive us made things so much easier, negating any navigation concerns that we otherwise would have had. A seemingly endless supply of bottled water and a wide variety of snacks kept hunger and thirst at bay, enabling even the youngest of the children to maintain interest and attention. She knew the best times to explore each place, the must-see exhibits and locations, the best hands-on demonstrations, the questions we might not know to ask, and her personal knowledge of the area, the people, and the history made the tour such an exceptional experience for our family. The whole tour was phenomenal, and well worth the price. We enthusiastically recommend this tour to anyone who wants to get the most out of their visit.

      Private tour
The tour was somewhat informative, and our guide was an extremely nice young lady. However, for the cost we would have expected to have someone more versed in the history of the area and all the little nuances of the time. Having a historian would have been cool but love seeing the young college kids participate in the tours and speaking on early American history!

      Wonderful private tour with Tiffany
Tiffany was a wonderful guide for our private tour (just my wife and I). We loved that she grew up in the area and had a passion for the history which really brought it to life for us. It is a walking tour, so come prepared. A great experience!

      Great private tour
Great private tour with Cyndi. She is really knowledge and we learned a lot more of what the town was about. When they say private, they mean that. It was just my husband & I. We enjoyed it! Thanks!

So much wonderful history …and we had so little time!
So much amazing history! Two days wasn’t enough for me! I could have spent an entire day just at the American Revolution Museum! The free Yorktown Trolley will get you most places you want to see by walking. The Steamer Tour of Yorktown either the day tour or the ghost tour is awesome! (We did both with Yorktown & Co Tours and couldn’t have been more thrilled with the results. We didn’t have time to go to Williamsburg or Jamestown, but would like to do that next time!

      Great Tour
Bambi is a very vibrant and extremely knowledgeable tour guide. She communicates promptly and adjusted the time we had set with her so that we would not miss the Grand Illumination on the same night. She gave us a wonderfully description of the area focusing on the Holiday decorations. She answer all our questions nd even stopped by and took pictures of us when asked! Thank you!

      A Tour Worth Taking
Enjoyed our tour given by Cyndi Young. The tour was very informative on the history of Williamsburg and the buildings in the town. We went back later to some of the buildings we were shown on this tour and it made planning which ones to see much easier in the time we had in Williamsburg.

      Art Musuem
There is a whole lot of different exhibits that you can see. This is a big musuem. They have a gift shop, cafeteria and lockers that are free to use. I would not eat in the cafeteria because it is really expensive and it takes a long time and the choices are just ok.

      Amazing Tour With Cyndi!
Cyndi was our tour guide. Communication was superb as she sent us messages prior to the meet up and directed us where to meet. Her knowledge of Colonial Williamsburg and its “ founding” by John D. Rockefeller as a reconstruction of colonial history was phenomenal. Cyndi’s knowledge of the buildings, their function, and the historical figures gave us a realistic understanding of the prime time of Williamsburg. She answered our questions and gave suggestions about other things to do and enjoy in Williamsburg. I highly recommend this tour, and request Cyndi!!!!

We had an excellent time! Bambi is super knowledgeable and enthusiastic about Colonial Williamsburg and it's infectious. For this, it's more of a talk than a tour but it's a great alternative to all the walking tours in town and a good break from the weather. This talk is about the restoration of the town in the 30s but did cover a lot of the colonial town history. Breakfast is not included in the tour price, but the price was worth the education. And we got a book to keep that had a lot of information that was covered in the tour for additional reading.

Thank you lots for your review and sharing your experience. I love my hometown and am glad you enjoyed. Everyone gets a book to keep because there's so much information about how Williamsburg became Virginia's Capitol from 1699-1780, the evolution when the Capitol moved to Richmond in 1780, and what happens afterwards. No spoiler alerts ;-) With kindness and gratitude, Bambi Walters, Managing Member Best Williamsburg Tours

Williamsburg is great in understanding the colonial era and its culture. This tour and its app will not allow single (1) bookings. It will accept couples (2).
Not sure if this is discriminatory or “all about the Monet.”

It is important to me that each traveler have a wonderful experience, not just couples, but individuals too. Because this tour includes a book to those attending to keep (the book explains the restoration of Colonial Williamsburg), we have an additional fee for the book as well as to our wonderful 3rd party partners that help promote us. I have changed this tour to accept 1 (one) person in response to your review. While that may not help you, I hope it helps future travelers. We cannot do that with every tour, but there are many other providers who have walking tours or holiday tours that accept one person in a large group. I don't know any other company or guide that offers anything like this tour (the story about the restoration of Colonial Williamsburg), and know it's important that there is an option for solo travelers. Most important, if there is something that I can do for you, like a partial refund, please reach out to me and let me know. You can find my direct contact information on our website for Best Williamsburg Tours. Respectfully, Bambi Walters, Managing Member Best Williamsburg Tours

Thank you for sharing your experiences in Williamsburg. Our breakfast tour is perfect for a rainy day or to help plan which buildings to visit before Colonial Williamsburg opens and learn about the restoration. We hope your vacation with your husband was filled with lots of memorable moments.
