Hear stories of holiday traditions throughout the centuries. Walk the historic area and see the beautifully decorated homes just as they would have been in the 18th century. A wonderful way to see the town and hear the fun history behind the holiday decorations. See The Geddy House, St. George Tucker House, the Palmer home along with other places. Also hear about how the pirate's celebrated Christmas.

      Great tour!
Grace and pirate were great at the tour. The stories were real life, and so much history learned! Recommend this tour at night for sure it was a lot of fun.

      Great Customer Service!
Our group of teens and parents had a wonderful time. Our guide was so accommodating and even went above and beyond by including a few haunted legends into the tour. Even the colonel showed up at Bruton Parish to say hello 😱. Lisa was amazing and so accommodating when we booked. Thank you for a terrific and memorable time!

A Great Trip Into the Darkness
This was a great walking tour through the dark streets of Williamsburg to hear about the promised ghosts, witches and pirates. Our friendly, entertaining and knowledgeable guide included history, legends, tales, and personal anecdotes in his talk throughout the evening. Our guide was ever mindful of our safety over uneven terrain in the dark, and warning of other hazards such as puddles or mud or "road apples" left behind by a carriage team. The tour was perfectly paced, keeping our group moving without rushing, allowing enough time to enjoy the stories and absorb the sites and sights. I am handicapped and use an electric three wheeled cart to get around and was able to fully participate in this tour. All in all a delightful evening.

      Not great
The tour was just average. The stories were pretty boring. And, it ended 30 minutes before the scheduled time of 9:45. Would not do another tour with this company.

      Colonial Williamsburg Tour
My friend and I didn’t stay with the group very long. The narrator was good but spent so long talking about the first building that we left the tour and wandered on our own

      Worth the price
Our tour guide Tom was awesome! His knowledge of the history of the town was amazing. The spirit box was cool hearing it add in to his story like it was agreeing with him

      Fantastic experience!
Grace was a fabulous guide and interpreter ( and a good actor, too)! We loved hearing the tales and learning more of Williamsburg's history. Walking through an almost deserted town in lamplight was a lovely experience. The price was very reasonable for two hours of such entertaining and educational info.

      Fun and engaging ghost tour
Gracie the tour guide was very patient with our 11 yo grandson and kept him engaged throughout the tour. This is not always easy with our ADHD grandson.

      Oral storytelling, fun environment.
I enjoyed the oral storytelling of the tour. Interesting stories especially about the witches and pirates. Michael was a great guide who told great stories, corny (but funny jokes) and answered questions. He anticipated questions people might ask which have interesting insights to the tour. This company also offers other tours like a conspiracy tour so if ghosts are not your thing then look into their other options. It was a good mix of walking and stopping to listen to a story. Good pacing. Note: you cannot go inside the buildings as they are owned by Colonial Williamsburg. Colonial Williamsburg also offers tours where you can go inside. I enjoyed the tour as is and the company is great. They called us 15 minutes before the tour to make sure we were on our way and knew where to meet them and took great care of us.

Fun and I even learned something
Don’t believe in ghosts but the tour was still fun - especially with the stories and historical facts they shared. A big shoutout to Mr. Pirate!!

We learned so much about the history of privateering and piracy globally, and in the Colonial area of the United States. Collin was a very informative, and engaging tour guide. We definitely recommend this tour!

Williamsburg at night with witches, ghosts and pirates.
This is the third ghost tour I have experienced here in Williamsburg. All were unique and interesting. Prior to the tour, we had spent some time roaming the historical city and I suggest a stop at the church with its graveyard and pews where many revolutionaries sat, to meet those who are still involved in services held there every Sunday. The churchyard was included in the tour, but it was after hours when you could not go into the building (I think it closes at 5pm). Worth going to add to the enjoyment of the tour. This tour was very interactive and the attendees got to play the parts of the historical figures. The three guides were like actors and very enthusiastic. They tried to include all the people attending in their historical sketches. It differed from others I have attended which were only ghost stories. This tour talked about pirates with a interactive play on their lives, including some women pirates. Also witches, their fate and a gravesite talk. This made it interesting for adults and children. The walk was 2 hours long, and one guide was in a wheelchair, so all of the tour was wheelchair accessible for those with disabilities. The night we went was foggy and misty which added to the ambiance. Williamsburg is alive even at night with skateboarders, people walking and just enjoying the buildings at night. We were instructed to park nearby and it was a short walk to the meeting place at the courthouse.

Enjoyed hearing the history behind the decorations and wreaths. Tour guide was knowledgeable and friendly. Tour guide mentioned her Christmas traditions and her views of what Christmas is all about. I didn’t think that was relevant or what I paid to listen to.

I’m glad you enjoyed the tour . I’m not quite sure what you are referring to, but we did tell the story of the candy cane at the church. As was explained Christmas in the 18th Century was more of a Holy Day than a Holiday . There was no separation of Church and State . Sincerely, Madame Lexi and Elizabeth

Very informative and interesting tour telling us a lot about the settlers in Williamsburg. We are British so it was great to hear about the customs of the people who lived there and the different customs they brought with them.
