The evening gave depth, and delicious food, to our trip to Melbourne
Great learning, delicious dinner, fun time, delightful host/chef, on the harbor - what's not to like? Tonya is a real pro - she was welcoming, adjusted quickly to our skill and knowledge level, had a keen sense of when to just give a direction and when to demonstrate, maintained a relaxed learning climate and provided material to take home to make home meals easy. It was a thoroughly enjoyable evening, in a lovely home, and we have several new techniques to try and dishes to prepare. Plus, she steered us to a remarkable art show in Melbourne which made our visit all the better. We are off to our next Traveling Spoon in Morocco.

      Cook Class
We had fun looking thru the South Melbourne Markets. We viewed a new salt store. Who knew the many flavours like Black Lava existed a lot to view. We are revisiting on Tuesday for fish and meat. Beautiful cakes for Xmas Day. Our first cooking class ever. It was a five course menu. All the recipes are in a folder which we brought home. The salmon and meringue were a stunning achievement for us so I post a pic.. We made wonderful sauces to accompany the meals. We enjoyed the lesson a lot. It ran smoothly and I hope you come to Melbourne and enjoy a friendly and efficient kitchen.
