We had visited this white wash village many times before, but this time with a local guide Maria, who explained the history of Frigiliana. She spoke with a passion and pride about the village she loved, which at 3000 people is more like a family community. My 21 year old daughter, her best friend and I went on a 1.5 hour walking tour with Maria. It was a great way to get the history and to explore all of the street and then afterward just roam around. You must visit Frigiliana and I highly recommend this easy, layed back wonderful tour....especially with Maria :-)

We visited Frigiliana for the day, while staying in Nerja and LOVED IT! Our guide, Maria, met us at the beautiful tourist office, along with another few folk and took us up and down the stunning streets of the old town. As a genuine local (one of just 3000) - Maria welcomed us to her town with enthusiasm and shared the history over the centuries as well as giving us an insight to the day to day in this buzzing wee town; stopping to speak with locals as we went - who were just as welcoming as Maria. With a mixed group - Maria seamlessly switched languages as we went along and stopped us at the most beautiful spots to take our photos (thank goodness, as our selfie skills are woeful and we now at least have a couple photos from our holiday, ha!). We would highly recommend this short tour, with Maria; great to get your bearings and then just go and wander..! Sidenote - the wee tourist train takes you down through the southern part of the town - so you get to see it from voth sides - the bus driver was also good craic and knowledgeable - so also recommended! Huge thanks to Maria... I wish we could bring her on every trip 😜

Thank you Maria, your tour was so interesting and we discovered back alleys which we never would have found ourselves. One of the prettiest villages in Europe and one which I will hopefully return to. I strongly recommend this tour, excellent value too!

Our guide was amazing, very friendly, knowledgeable, and informative. As a resident of Frigiliana she was very familiar with the village. Our guide also had to manage a Spanish and English couple and did so with complete competence switching between languages with no issues at all.

Maria was a real local who could shared freely her knowledge of Frigiliana. She made sure we were taking enough rest stops (it was a hot day!). The stories she told (history of the town but also personal stories) made the town come to life. An absolute recommendation if you plan to visit and for a very good price! Thanks Maria!!!!

What a fabulous experience. Our guide was very knowledgeable, friendly and incorporated a Spanish lesson too. We have visited Frigiliana before but to hear it’s history and how the town retains its charm was fascinating. We finished the tour and had a wonderful lunch at The Garden Restaurant with magnificent views

A beautiful picturesque town, very expertly described by the tour guide. She was able to give extensive description of the social, historical and cultural aspects ofthe town which brought it to life. She gave us ample time for photos and even assisted in taking some for us in some of the prime spots. An unforgettable day!
