We rappelled, jumped and slid down the canyon. One of the best things we did in Madeira, and I’d highly recommend the team to anyone. Myself and my friend booked the beginner canyoning experience and were lucky enough to be the only booking on the Sunday so ended up with a private tour with Vitor. Vitor was so friendly, full of experience, knowledge and made us feel safe throughout the morning. Vitor is a credit to the company and made it more enjoyable. The views were unreal, this is definitely a must on a trip to Madeira. The people who helped us are really nice and treats you like their family. They took many pictures and videos of us! That was incredible rather than having to bring our cameras/phones to take pictures. The guys from BelocalMadeira did a fantastic job in showing us the canyons of Madeira!
We did in total 3 with them in one week (we first had planned 2, but we loved it and decided for a third one). We started with intermediate and did one advanced one as well.
Fabio did more for us than just being a guide. He kept us updated before our travels, made sure we got everything we need during our stay and in the canyon he was an amazing guide (he takes fantastic picutres).
We felt welcomed at all times and had a lot of fun. In total we met 4 guides of his teams and all are very professional and made your experience with them unique. The groups were small and as we always had a minimum of 2 guides we never had to wait a long time in the canyon itself!
We are very happy and grateful we chose this company for our experience in Madeira and I highly recommend you choose them, too!

We had the most incredible experience from start to finish! All the guides were so professional and were always ensuring everybody was safe within the group throughout the entire day but whilst doing so, also making sure you were having a laugh and enjoying the experience too😁
Both Pedro and Valerio were the best guides we could’ve asked for for the trip today and we can’t wait to come back in 2025 to take on the level 3 🙏🏻 cannot recommend this company enough the best at what they do!! See you next year 🫶🏻

My wife and I spent a day Canyoning with Be Local Madeira and would both agree that it was the highlight of our honeymoon. The professionalism demonstrated from the company and their employees was exceptional from the moment I made the booking, they were easily contactable and readily available to answer all questions. The experience itself was one of the best of my life, the staff were excellent at bringing the group together, ensure everyone was chatting and bonding, their own happiness and positivity was infectious, they put everyone in great humour. The staff provided great fun and safety whilst canyoning and were incredibly patient and supportive of anyone who needed extra time before a big jump, they motivated everyone to complete each obstacle and celebrated with everyone when they did. I highly recommend Be Local Madeira and I can not wait to visit Madeira again and complete the Advanced Level Canyoning. Thank you.

These guys are so much fun! They genuinely love what they do, making you feel incredibly safe all while having a fantastic experience. I'm new to canyoning and really wasn't sure what to expect. The views are incredible and the experience is next to none. I will absolutely be booking the advance experience before I go!

We did intermediate level canyoning, it was simply wonderful. Extremely professional but also very friendly and fun, which made the experience even more memorable. It is worth noting that one of my friends has a phobia of being underwater and they responded to her fears in an exemplary way. I only have praise to give. We will definitely take the advanced level with this company. I recommend it 100%.

We went canyoning with 14 or 15 people and these guides made sure it was one of the best experiences of my life. Before this I had never done canyoning in my life, and I wasn’t the only one in my group. For (young) adults or other thrillseekers who have never done canyoning and would like to, I can 1000% recommend intermediate over beginner. And if you do go, go with this company. The guides are friendly, make jokes and make sure everyone is safe and okay at all times. Our guides were Fábio, Filipe and Elvis, they were some of the best people I met on this island.
10/10 experience that I can recommend to anyone.

We had an amazing day on the intermediate canyoning activity. Fabricio was our main guide and was friendly, experienced, encouraging to those less confident and we felt safe throughout. Filipe was the second guide and made us laugh with his regular 'woo hoo's' of encouragement!!! Overall of all the experiences I've booked before with canyoning this was by far the best organised, attentive and fun. We thoroughly recommend this company for a fantastic day out! Thank you so much!!

Fábio from Be Local Madeira is very profissional and attenticious. Gave us all the confidence, safety and fun that we needed! The canyoning (Level 2, at Curral das Freiras) is very vary with a lot of rafting, walking, waterfalls and dives ! The landscape is breathtaking!
Anxious to come back and repeat!

We have been canyoning with Fabricio and Joel and the truth is that it has been an unbeatable experience.
Canyoning itself has been very beautiful and fun to do as well as exciting. The equipment and services that they offer you and the way they offer them to you has been given the best possible grade. They are very attentive, polite and are very aware not only that you do not have any problem but also that you have a great time.

We loved this adventure! The guides were so excited, friendly, knowledgeable and supportive of everyone wherever their experience level was. The time was full of laughs, good fun, and excitement! The repelling was the perfect amount of challenging, not too bad at all, and the jumps were exhilarating! They crew also took the best photos and kept everyone spirits high even though it was cloudy and raining the day we went. Regardless of the weather, this is a Madeira must!
