It's a bone shaker but worth it for the views. If you only do one experience on this beautiful island, then do this. Wow, amazing, what an experience it takes you to places we would have never been, and we've been to Maderia 3 times before, so we decided to do something different, and boy, was it worth it. Our guid ( so sorry I've forgotten his name) was really knowledgeable. He stopped to let us look and smell ( yep, you read it right) all the different sights and smells round us, And you should definitely try the poncho at a little bar it was delicious 😋 best we've ever tasted. So go on, do it it's worth the shake rattle and roll.

You are guaranteed a fantastic day, the most knowledgable, friendly and approachable tour guide I’ve ever come across on any tour I’ve ever been on. Our guide for the day was Dino. Friendly, humorous and informative. Pick up was easy, a stone’s throw from our hotel in Funchal. The Land Rover can fit 8 people but there were only 3 on our tour. We headed west out of Funchal and then north to Serra de Agua where there was a quick pit stop for coffee and pastel de Natas then onwards and off road climbing through the forest up towards Estanquinhos. There were stops along the way to walk a levada and admire and photograph the stunning views. Eventually, we emerged onto the plateau and headed northwest onto the eerie forest at Fanal and its 800 year old trees. From there the tour descends to Ribera da Janela and it’s photogenic rocky islet before continuing west to Porto Moniz for an excellent and typically Madeiran lunch, tomato soup with a poached egg in it (don’t knock it until you’ve tried it) and tuna with pepper and onions. After lunch and exploring the natural pools we followed the coat east to Seixal with its black volcanic beach and big breakers. Last stop was Sao Vincent’s for a taste of Madeira wine and a cheeky Pescador’s Poncha before heading back to Funchal.

José was our driver/guide. He was knowledgable, friendly, funny and a skilled driver. The whole experience was great. Driving through the wooded off-road tracks and stopping at amazing vantage points to view the landscape. We 3 separate pairs unknown to each other initially plus José soon felt very relaxed, and we enjoyed a nice lunch together in Santana. It was a fun day I would recommend. Only suggestion perhaps take a layer of clothing because the high points can be a lot colder if you’re used to the weather by the south side coast.

We had a perfect day! Thanks to our driver Lino it was an unforgettable trip! Daytrip was definitely worth it! We had many stops in different beautiful locations and Lino had also really good insights to Madeira. Overall a perfect day!

Amazing experience. Off road track will make you feel like a hero - especially if you are crazy enough to be standing all the way through. We’ve had a great guide Dyno and fantastic group that turned out to be all from the uk , so we quickly became a mainly for a day. Couldn’t recommend enough. Perfect day out to explore some of the most beautiful parts of Madeira.

Had an amazing tour of Madeira with our guide, Luis Castro! We hopped in a jeep and headed to Fanal Forest, which felt like stepping straight into a fairytale. The forest has this magical, misty vibe that's just incredible. On the way there, Luis took us through some adventurous, lesser-known paths that led to stunning viewpoints high up on the island—at times, we were literally above the clouds! Luis was a fantastic driver and handled the rugged trails with ease. As a local, he knew exactly where to go to show us the best of Madeira’s beauty. Highly recommend this experience with him if you’re up for some adventure and jaw-dropping views!

Once again we book a private half-day tour with the driver Luís Castro and it was amazing 😍! We did a different off-road where we could see different views and some animals, we stopped for lunch at the jungle restaurant with good vegetarian options and headed to Fanal, in Fanal we did a different route than usual, Luís put us on a short walk through the forest, we were lucky that it was cloudy which gave a magical touch to the scenery, after the walk we went to the lagoon and we could take some pictures while Luís talked about the centenary trees. After the forest, we went down to São Vicente and tasted some good wine at Porto de Abrigo and poncha, a traditional Madeiran drink. It's worth noting that Luís' knowledge has increased considerably since the last tour. And he always passes on his knowledge with passion. Once again, it was worth taking a tour with Luís! Trust this company, the guides know what they're doing!

The tour guide José is the best guide I ever had so far, showing you the most beautiful parts of madeira and explaining with a smile and some funny jokes here and there, making this day an experience to never forget. 10/10 would reccomend
