Highlights
  • Guided all-terrain vehicle tour of Lower Monument Valley
  • Choose from a sunrise or sunset tour: the most photogenic parts of the day
  • Navigate the park with ease alongside a guide
  • Tour custom created by guides to showcase their favorite parts of Lower Monument Valley
What to expect
  • Your guide meets you in the lobby of your hotel, where you'll prepare for a scenic drive to Monument Valley in an all-terrain vehicle. You'll have access to parts of the park that are off-limits to smaller cars. Located on a Navajo Reservation and considered sacred by Native American tribes, the multi-hued sandstone park can be tough to navigate alone. Your guide walks you through the history and background of each natural formation. With your choice of a sunrise or sunset tour, you’re guaranteed camera-ready views during the sun-kissed time of day known by photographers as the “Golden Hour.” The itineraries are fully customizable, so you’ll have your pick of some incredible spots, including iconic rock formations like John Ford’s Point, which served as film backdrop in many John Wayne Westerns. One of the most photographed rocks is the Yei Bi Chei, which resembles a line of tribal dancers. You’ll also get an opportunity to take pictures of the Big Hogan, a sandstone cave chamber, and Ear of the Wind, a mesmerizing, crimson-colored arch.

Get sunset trip.
It was so fun going off the beaten track in Monument Valley. John was a great guide … gave us lots of information, directed us to excellent photo opportunities, helped those who needed assistance with their iPhone photos, played a very haunting flute melody for us and was just an all around good guide.

Awesome Sunrise Tour of Monument Valley
Sep 2021
Our tour was outstanding! Our guide Harry Nez Jr was the most knowledgeable guide - not only for the history, area, experiences but he was so skilled with advising on photography, culture - can't imagine a better experience! The sunrise tour is by far one of the best we have every taken. Come prepared to be wowed!

Great way to see Monument Valley!
Sep 2021 • Couples
Really enjoyed our trip with Harry for a sunset ride around Monument Valley. It’s a great way to see the valley and get expert insight on what the different monuments are called and information about Navajo traditions. We also got lots of photo advice to score some great pictures! Highly recommend for a great time.

Definitely glad we went with Dineh Bekayah. Superb.
Charlene Johnson, Andrea and Yvonne (prom: Jo- von) are all very professional and accommodating. The tour was personal and informative.
Yvonne our personable driver/guide- was quite knowledgeable - offering up both cultural and spiritual perspective, but also took the time to discuss our perceptions.
She is an outgoing and lovely young lady who played her own composition on a flute inside a cavernous arch.
( we watched as a different tour group -of 50 in 4 packed vehicles exited that same arch/ cave- definitely a different experience from our deliberately long stop there. )
Yvonne encouraged us to lay back on the sloped sandstone looking up at the sky through the stunning arch with ancient pictographs within yards of our heads.
Nice, thick and SOFT cushions on our bench seats made this a very comfortable ride over a very bumpy dirt road.
Definitely glad we went with Dineh Bekayah.

Outstanding Experience!
Aug 2021
Our 3-hour sunset tour with Tully, our Navajo guide from the Dineh Bekeyah company, was amazing--way beyond expectations. Tully saw that my husband, my son, and I were interested in photography, so he quickly took us off the main road to places we never could have gotten to on our own. He showed us spectacular sights and shared stories the elders had passed down across generations. Best of all, he gave us time to let the beauty and serenity of this remarkable place sink in. We feel grateful to the Navajo Nation for keeping this sacred place pristine, and for sharing it with us. Thanks to Charlene Johnson at Dineh Bekeyah for setting us up with Tully as our guide. Best tour we've ever taken--highly recommended!

Amazing, Educational & Entertaining
Aug 2021
This was a fantastic tour. It was my wife, me and my two teenage sons. Tully was an exceptional guide. He was very knowledgeable and sensitive to all of our needs. My 16 year old said before he knew it, we were 2 hours into a 3 hour tour; it was that engaging. My 19 year old said he loved the tour as he learned and saw things he'd never seen before. We enjoyed learning the names of the formation and seeing the shapes the formations were named after. Tully was great with the stories of famous actors/directors that filmed in Monument Valley (John Wayne, Jonny Depp, John Ford and Clint Eastwood). Tully was helpful at where to take the best pictures. The vehicle was comfortable but open air so it had a safari-like quality to it. Just a blast. Thank you Tully for a time my family will never forget!

A Monumental Tour
The Monument Valley tours (Sunset & Sunrise) were outstanding but the added Navajo culture information and song by our tour guide Harry made this a very memorable experience. We would do it again!
