Our Navajo guide John was the favorite part of our tour. Aside from his complete knowledge of the valley he was pleasant and offered insights into the lives of the Navajo. A complete joy

Ask for Harry N.
Aug 2021
Our guide was Harry N. and he made what would had been a great trip looking at the majestic Monument Valley into a fantastic trip. His knowledge of the valley and all of the interesting information about the Navajo culture make the trip so much more interesting. He taught us some Navajo words and sang several songs in Navajo. He also gave several tips on how to take the best pictures.
Thank you Harry, you make a check off on my bucket list much more than I could have hoped for, for my family and myself.

Harry is the best
Aug 2021 • Couples
Harry sang to us in Navajo. I can’t think of anything more wonderful than driving through the valley with Harry singing to us.
He shared much about Navajo traditions and he and my husband shared stories about the many films that were shot in the Valley. When we return, we will ask for Harry.

Spectacular
Jul 2021
My family of four came out from the Denver area to visit once we heard the Tribal lands were open again. We stayed in Bluff, about 50 minutes away, at Bluff Dwellings- beautiful resort.

The tour was super. Friendly and welcoming. You meet at the intersection off the main highway- there's a set of buildings with shops and tour trucks waiting, bathrooms. One direction goes to Goulding's lodge and restaurant; the other direction enters into Tribal lands and the View Hotel. It cost $20/vehicle(Cash- atm at Goulding's, if needed, get ahead of time) at the gate before the View Hotel. The lady there was hilarious, telling us that we might need our "snow boots".

You need a tour to go into the valley. Couldn't drive in with private car yet. The road is gravel/dirt. We did the 1-1/2 hour tour on a covered truck. It covers 17 miles of the most iconic sites. The driver(Harry N.) talks through a speaker while driving., making frequent stops for pictures. Masks are required on Tribal land.

We were only ones on the truck. They had just opened up after over a year. Amazing sandstone monuments, breathtaking vistas. Harry stopped at many giving us photo tips, taking our picture, talking of the history of the area and teaching us about Navajo ways, life and language. He was great.

I had grown up watching John Wayne/John Ford westerns. We watch them with our kids, too. Stood on 'John Ford's ' point to take it all in. Bought local artwork at the point from the locals. Beyond beautiful. Don't miss it and support the local economy.

Thanks Harry N.

The only way to see Monument Valley
Jul 2021
We had a great private tour with Derek. He was knowledgeable about the history of the park and the Navajo nation, pointing out interesting historical notes and details of the various buttes and mountains. Recommend going in the morning as it isn't as hot. 1.5 Hours seemed like just the right amount of time for a tour.

PERFECT
Jul 2021
Our tour with Derick on July 12th, 2021 was one of the best experiences of our life. Do not hesitate to book this tour or any other tour that Derick leads. The whole process from booking to pick-up and the tour itself was simply wonderful. Derick was a kind and welcoming host with a seemingly endless bank of knowledge about Monument Valley and the Navajo people. I've seldom if ever had the good fortune to learn as much in two hours as I did on this tour and certainly never in a place this beautiful and awe inspiring. Derick was patient with our questions and thorough with his answers covering everything from geology, anthropology, cinematography, history, linguistics, and more. COULD NOT RECOMMEND HIGHER!!!!

a great tour with Harry and his colleague
Aug 2019
Althought we were too late Harry and his colleague were very laid back about us arriving late. Harry told us a lot of interesting stories and even sang a navaho birthday song for my son who was having his birthday that day as wellas playing the flute. It was a great experience and we strongly recommend this tour. That s for the Wonderfull trip Harry and colleague! RvK from NL

Great Tour
Oct 2019
Highly enjoyable. You can't see these sights from the road. Our tour guide John was a great guy and gave a great tour. Price is a little high but well worth it. If you drive thru the area and don't take a tour you are missing out.

Excellent tour
Oct 2019
Our tour guide was Harry who has years of experience and told us the history of everything we were seeing. We went to the key stops for pictures and our time was well used. We were not rushed and were able to take the time we needed at each stop. We found the tour an excellent way to see the Monument Valley. We highly recommend this tour and our tour guide. Our tour was 10/1/19.
