- M9263FIsimonh0 contributionsDidn't see anythingWent first time and didn't see any dolphins.. so you can go again half price .. again didn't see any. I asked a member of staff who said , it's probably because the fishing boats aren't around at this time of year, as they drop loads of dead fish back into the ocean ..So not likely to see them .. But they still do the trips !Written October 12, 2024
- D1755MDlaurab0 contributionsLovely & relaxingLovely trip along the coast, the catamaran stopped for a short while & allowed anyone who wanted to swim to do so, the boat kept in touch with other boats when dolphins were spotted, so luckily we did see them. There were drinks and snacks on board, but we didn't buy any so I'm not sure of the prices. Some folk got chilly with the breeze & blankets were offered. Photographer took photos on board which were good quality & a very reasonable price of €5.Written October 10, 2024
- alexjohnrichards0 contributionsAmazing trip (crew A*)Great trip. Saw dolphins, stingrays and sunfish, as well as beautiful views of the coast. Of course whether you see any animals is down to luck. The crew were great and did their best to make our journey as good as could be. From briefing us on the journey, to handing out blankets (wind), to telling us facts about the animals. The captain is a character and invited the children to take the wheel, and ensured we got the best photos. The crew seemed genuinely excited when sporting dolphins (I’d assumed this would wear off when you do it daily). They were keen to ensure everyone was aware of where they were, and were taking photos of families. I’d read reviews of the boats being packed. Our trip was early October and we went at 1030 so didn’t have this issue, though the trip at midday did appear busier! Thanks for an enjoyable and memorable trip which we all loved.Written October 5, 2024
- Jenny K0 contributionsVery professional and friendlyLovely company told us sea was choppy and may not see dolphins and we didn't but a lovely trip very professional given a stamp on receipt to rebook but more than happy to pay the price thankyouWritten September 29, 2024
- Adam B0 contributionsWorth the trip even if there is no dolphinsI rated 4/5 because we didn’t see the dolphins however it didn’t stop me an my girlfriend from having a fun time got to sit in the captains seat with his hat on good laugh and the staff was very nice Due to not seein any dolphins they issued a discounted price for when we go next times we can have 50% off which was very nice and it doesn’t expire too so not in any rush I would say it’s worth the experience 🫶🙏🇪🇸Written September 26, 2024
- Climber049021977330 contributionsVery niceIt was great , nice crew with windows underwater. On the day they offered us a refund and said we may not see anything due to the big waves. We went anyways and it was great.Written September 8, 2024
- Jaybrazil19920 contributionsGood experience that can be better! It’s a tour of the dolphins but this could of been a better experience if they went into more depth of what dolphin we were seeing and the environment that they live in, however this was reasonably priced and was a good amount of time to view the dolphins in the surrounding area.Written September 5, 2024
- dippymui0 contributionsGood trip out on the seaGood visit out to sea but due to the choppiness of the water, no dolphins seen - however they did stamp tickets to say next trip would be half price which seemed a good solution as we did go out after all even though we didn't see any dolphins. There was a full house on the boat but didn't feel overcrowded. There was a good vibe on board and there is a little shop for refreshments.. There was a photographer on board who took pics and there was entertainment in terms of music which gave a good energy. Captain allowed young ones to sit in his seat and take pics where requested. The crew were very good in taking care of those who got sea sick as they had bags prepped for the occasion and take care of all on board. Looking forward to coming again to see the dolphins, fingers crossed!Written September 2, 2024
- Russell B0 contributionsA nice boat tripQuite a large boat which means quite a lot of people but didn’t feel too crowded. Unfortunately no dolphins on this trip but our ticket was stamped to allow half price visit next time with no expiry date. Crew were also very friendly and handed out sick bags to those in need. Children were also given opportunity to sit in captains chair and steer the boat which they loved!Written August 17, 2024
- KateB7570 contributionsGood experienceWe saw dolphins:-) Staff were nice and helpful 👍. The ship was a bit overcrowded so we had to sit separately. There is a little bar on the boat but very overpriced so take drinks and snacks with you:-)Written August 15, 2024
- B7573SAandyg0 contributionsWe saw dolphins!Really good boat trip. Good value, boat was spacious and clean, had live music and an affordable bar Captain was great fun and let all the passengers have a photo at the wheel! Then we got to see lots of dolphins! So many for a good 5-10 mins Only downside was they ran out of them for a sea swim! But we’d rather have them taken the time to find the dolphins…. Great experience Also the official photo offer of €5 was decent as well. I’d recommendWritten August 11, 2024
- KarenaI0 contributionsDolphins aren’t guaranteed, we were lucky!Great experience. We were clearly told that seeing dolphins wasn’t guaranteed, which we were understanding of as they are wild animals in a vast ocean after all! We arrived at 10am for a 10:30 cruise. We departed promptly, our Captain and crew were professional and friendly. We were very lucky to have seen the dolphins which was absolutely wonderful. The captain kept us near the dolphins for a good length of time to ensure everyone on board had the opportunity to see them. Overall a worthwhile and enjoyable boat trip.Written August 2, 2024
- Sarah W0 contributionsTwo hour boat trip to see dolphins worth takingLovely boat trip to see dolphins. We have two boys aged 12 and 14 who we took on this boat trip. One of them gets sea sick so the two hours was the perfect amount of time to get out, enjoy the trip and see local wildlife without it being too much. Great boat, good music, lovely staff - we thought this was fun and good value for money.Written July 30, 2024
- tinadO1112YJ0 contributionsA RIp OffJust back from a boat trip we took the five o'clock trip.It was a two hour boat trip we saw no dolphins. There were plenty of families with small kids and these trips all add up to the cost of a holiday. it was such a disappointment I know these trips are subject to finding the dolphins but don’t sell it as a dolphin trip when it’s a glorified boat trip .Too many people then to add insult to injury we were told that if we still had our ticket it would be stamped and we could get 50% off our next trip. Our whole day was planned around this trip we are going home tomorrow and if we were staying for longer I wouldn’t be giving up another day on the off chance that I might see dolphins and have to pay out yet again for the privilege .We were so disappointed it’s something I’ve always wanted to do.I heard some one say the best time to see dolphins is first thing in the morning .if this is the case don’t sell tours at five in the evening,Written July 25, 2024
- 781fayem0 contributionsWorth the moneyDefinitely worth the money for the trip! Lovely experience to see the dolphins out in the sea. Only downside is that since there’s so many people on the boat it can be crowded and you may not get the best view when you do see the dolphins. Paying a bit extra for a smaller boat with less people may be worth it also.Written July 23, 2024

A great trip along leaving from Benalmadena port, travelling along the coast before docking in Fuengirola. The boat was punctual and very clean.
It travels at a steady pace so you get time to really enjoy the trip.
Parking in the Marina was fairly easy despite it being very busy, the car park is just over one euro per hour.

This was your standard sort of ferry, fairly slow, quite touristy (had queen and abba playing the whole way) but does what it says on the tin!
Others had booked a specific dolphin tour but looks like they’re are a lot of them swimming around and our captain was very good and drove near them and slowed down when we did see them so we could take photos.
There’s also a photographer on board who takes a bunch of photos of your party and then prints them and asks you if you want to pay €5 per print, which I thought was a little unnecessary but he was pleasant enough when we said we weren’t interested.
Fuengirola was just full of Irish bars and Brits which we didn’t enjoy but the beach was nice. Torremolinos seems much better for a more Spanish vibe with good food, decent beach etc.

We used the ferry from
Fuengirola Port to Benalmadena Marina at a cost of €10 each. This was a lovely 55 minute journey where you could see all the coastline. A welcome change from catching the bus or train. It was a bit ‘choppy’ and we unfortunately didn’t spot any dolphins that day, but well worth the €10 and wouldn’t hesitate to book again.

We are glad you enjoyed the trip.
We are sorry you didn't see any dolphins, but this is the most normal thing to do on the ferry as it goes very close to the coast.
To see the dolphins we have the special tour that goes inland to look for them.

We caught the ferry from benalmadena to fuengirola as we wanted to visit the bioparc. We caught the earliest ferry was quite a few people on it. It was clean with plenty of seats, toilet, bar and music. The sea was quite choppy but it was fine. We had our picture taken We were given them to look at and told they were €5 each if wanted to purchase any, otherwise would be destroyed. Journey took about an hour the views on the way were amazing. On the way back we even got to see some dolphins which was amazing. Would definitely recommend. Great experience

We wanted an inexpensive boat trip on the Mediterranean Sea with great views of the Costa del Sol. This did the trick. Best of all, they allowed us to switch cruises at the last minute because we missed the Dolphin Boat by a few minutes due to a taxi driver who took us kilometers out of the way. The ferry trip was excellent. The boat was not at all crowded. In fact the return trip had less than 10 people. So go for it!

Simple pleasures are underrated, right? And this is one of them: you get on the ferry, pick your favorite spot and enjoy the beautiful coastline. The staff is kind, it’s not crowded and the captain has a great eye for spotting dolphins. We were lucky enough to see them on both rides. Whether you want to do sightseeing in Fuengirola or just enjoy the sea, the ride is well worth the money and an enjoyable trip for the whole family.

Ferry takes about 40 minutes each way and is a nice way to view this lovely coastline. Staff very professional and the experience is relaxing. Parents with children were given nice level of attention too.
We paid €11 one way, the prices have just gone up. We like to return using the bus to Benalmadena. The sea was calm, you might want to check weather forecasts before boarding the boat. We were lucky enough to see some dolphins which the captain pointed out to us.

Lovely trip along the coast between Fuengirola and Benalmadena. Nice and helpful staff. A photographer takes and sells photos to you (€5 per piece), but ok to reject. We didn't see delphins that day, but sometimes people do. Simple refreshments on board. Be in time, as the boat can be full. Good price for a return ticket: €18 for a return ticket, 2x1 hour. When staying in Fuengirola, Benalmadena is expensive, and not as wheelchair friendly at all, but nice to see all the many luxurious boats. A great trip on a sunny day.

Ideal boat trip from Benalmadena and back. The sea was a bit wild due to the many waves. So 1 hour of continuing was sufficient. When returning, much more quietly with the waves. Staff are super friendly. On board they took photos for 5 euros, which we refused. Upon departure, the sons were allowed to sit behind the wheel for a photo. Definitely recommended, just take the weather into account if you get seasick easily. 😉

Really great ferry boat trip from Fuengirola to Benalmadena. Takes just under an hour. Really friendly crew. Captain let the 3 year old have a go at steering and sound the horn! She loved it as did we.
