      Really Nice, Informational Tour
We enjoyed the tour. Our guide was knowledgeable and we visited quite a few stops that helped tell the story of JFK’s assassination. We learned a lot and even got to walk around inside Lee Harvey Oswald’s rooming house. The van was a good temperature and we could hear the driver well even from the back. We especially enjoyed the first-hand audios and photos shared during the tour. The only reason I didn’t give 5 stars… I wish we had gotten off at more stops and not just seen them through the bus windows.

      Tim the tour guide
Our tour guide Tim was outstanding…he made us aware of all the dates times sub plots and characters that impacted that fatal day. He drove us to all the land marks including Oswald’s house and more. Highly recommend… we had a great time.

      One of the best
Our guide Gianfranco was excellent - had every fact and detail for us and happy to answer all questions I used to work as a tour guide and I can recognise really good talent when I see it. Gianfranco has it!

      Very good
Dan was amazing tour guide. Very good knowledge of Dallas and it's history. Soutfork tour was really worth it. I would very highly recommend it you are interested in Dallas history (specially what happened to JFK 1963 in Dallas) and if you were a big Dallas tv series fan.

      Very knowledgeable tour guide
John was extremely knowledgeable, enthusiastic and made the tour interesting and exciting. We really enjoyed it and learnt a lot. There was plenty of time at each location and opportunities to ask questions and take photos. Having the rooming house and museum included was definitely worth the extra money too. Thank you John, we would highly recommend this tour.

A winner for true crime and conspiracy buffs alike
Tim was a lot of fun. He had a lot of information, not just from the official story, but from fringe conspiracies. He’s obviously done his research and enjoys injecting humor into the tour. Definitely recommended

Good tour on JFK assassination and museum
Tour provides good information on Kennedy assassination including Dealey Plaza, Oswald’s home and cinema where he was caught. Tour finishes at 6th floor museum, note you need roughly 90 minutes in the museum to see all exhibits properly.

      A must do in Dallas
Richard is a fantastic tour guide. He is a great storyteller, filled with intricate details of the assassination and the life of Lee Harvey Oswald. You drive most of the tour, but stop and walk around at the shooting location. You get to briefly go inside the home where Oswald was staying. You have great perspective by the end and should be able to formulate an opinion of what really happened. Definitely worth your time if you are looking for one thing to do in Dallas.

      Exciting trip!
I travelled from Australia to Texas and was staying in Dallas for 3 days. I have always wanted to go to Fort Worth to see the cattlewalk. This tour was perfect for my short trip as it was a half day 4 hour tour with convenient pickup from downtown. I had so much fun going to Fort Worth to see the city itself and also to know more about cowboys and I finally see the cattlewalk! Also, huge thanks to the friendly tour guide who made the tour more fun! :)

      Thought provoking JFK tour
Preston was incredibly knowledgeable and also shared lots of insights into Dallas itself outside of the JFK experience. Highlight of my time in Dallas

We went on the 3 hours Dallas Highlight tour with Johnny on June 25th 2020. Our party of 6 basically had a private tour because they can only do half capacity. Johnny was the perfect tour guide, very knowledgeable, super enthusiastic- kept our attention for over 3 hours. We are new to the area and had in laws with us including our 4 and 6 year old- everyone was entertained the whole time and we learned so much about Dallas. It was a perfect introduction to our new city. Johnny wore a mask and was diligent with giving us hand sanitizer every time we got out of the van to take pictures. I highly recommend this tour! Worth every penny. If you’re lucky- you’ll get Johnny as your tour guide!

I'm a JFK buff so obviously that tour was the primary reason for booking this but I unexpectedly enjoyed the city tour of Dallas as well. I'm glad I didn't leave Dallas without seeing the rest of it instead of just around my hotel. We had a very knowledgeable guide who made it educational and fun. Unfortunately the JFK Museum only sells a certain number of tickets and we didn't get to do that. Thank you, I truly enjoyed it!

This was my first time to Dallas and I wanted to get some good information and learn about the city. My tour guide was very knowledgeable because he grew up here. It was a cold and windy day but he made the 3 hour tour go so fast that I didn’t want it to end. He took us all over the city and nearby areas and gave us all kinds of history and current information. I thoroughly enjoyed the day and would highly recommend it to anyone!

My husband and I usually like to do walking tours in new cities but decided on the Dallas van tour since the city was so big. It was our introduction to all things Dallas. This tour did not disappoint! We saw so many different neighborhoods, architecture, sculptures, etc and learned history about the city that we would have missed without the tour. Dan the Man was an amazing wealth of information and fun and made the tour even more enjoyable!

Loved our tour of Dallas! Our guide, Orlando, was awesome and knew so much about all the places we went. He would play music and had visual aides that would correspond with the area that we were in! He would give his own personal experience about the different places. He was funny and very informative and you can tell he loves his city! He would offer to take photos for us and pause for the perfect photo. When the tour was over, I received a phone call from him stating that I had left my back pack in the van. He meet us to give it back even tho he had another tour scheduled. I feel he went out of his way to make sure I got my bag back!

A guide with pride in their city makes the tour better. I am sure all the guides are great but if you get a tour with Preston, you will have a very enthusiastic tour guide. The 3 hour tour takes you through nearly every neighborhood in Dallas with three stops. On a weekday, traffic isn't bad; construction slowed us down more than traffic.
The tour doesn't shy away from the JFK assassination. We learn that the city had a hard time recovering from that day. Along the way you'll see a handful of landmarks including Dealey Plaza, the garage where Oswald was shot, and the court where Ruby was tried.
Enjoy the Dallas Farmers Market for a break. On weekends it is likely better because the outside fruit and vegetables stands are open. On a weekday you get the indoor stores. I bought a nice Italian iced coffee. The historical tidbits are always best on a tour. You will learn why Dallas County and the city of Dallas are not named after the same people. Then hear some interesting stories about Bonnie and Clyde, Jerry Jones, Mark Cuban etc. The tour was quite enjoyable and worth your money. No complaints.

Wonderful tour of downtown and surrounding Dallas!! Our guide, Preston, was very knowledgeable with all areas of the city, offering many little known tidbits about each area. With the heat soaring, he offered water to us, which was nice. With a couple of stops, including the JFK memorial/ book depository and the farmer’s market, where we took a small break to eat and shop, it was just the right amount of driving and walking for just about anyone. Preston also stated that he was from the area, was a historian, and was part of the historical preservation society. This only added to the amount of information he was able to provide us with. Highly recommend, especially with Preston as your guide!!

As a resident of DFW, I always wanted to know more about the history of Dallas and the JFK Assassination, so I signed up for a bus tour of Dallas during a staycation and had a great experience with Preston and Fun Dallas Tours.

Booking – I searched Trip Advisor for Dallas Bus Tours and chose Fun Dallas Tours because it was a half day tour. Booking was super simple, and the morning of my tour, I received a text message from Preston, my tour guide, with additional logistics and info.

Tour – The tour begins at the JFK Memorial. True confession – I’m a DFW resident and I had no idea this existed. Our tour guide, Preston, was great. He is a true Dallas historian, and I learned about the origins of Dallas, Deep Ellum, and we had a separate walking tour of Dealy Plaza in which I learned about the JFK assassination. The tour also stops at the Dallas Farmer’s Market so you can take a bio break and get a snack.

At the end of the tour, my 13 YO daughter turned to me and said, “That was fun.” Mission accomplished. Thank you, Preston and Fun Dallas Tours!

The tour of downtown Dallas led by Ivan was a disappointment. While Ivan was knowledgeable, polite, and friendly, he spoke too loudly and at length throughout the tour.

At $62 per person, the tour was overpriced for the content covered. Ivan mainly showed us a few blocks of downtown streets that we could have easily explored on our own in around 30 minutes. He also took us to the more distant Highland Park area, but the other locations on the tour were clustered quite close together.

The tour started at the John F. Kennedy Memorial, then proceeded to Thanksgiving Square, the AT&T Discovery District, an area with graffiti murals, a bar neighborhood, Calder's Bursting Forth sculpture, and the Dallas Farmers Market. Despite being billed as a 3-hour tour, Ivan wrapped it up in just 3.5 hours.

Overall, we felt the tour did not provide good value for the $62 cost. The tour covered a relatively small geographic area and could have been completed much more efficiently on our own. While Ivan was a pleasant guide, the pacing and content of the tour left much to be desired.

In the future, we would likely skip this downtown Dallas tour and explore the area independently to get a better sense of the city center at our own pace.

Excellent tour. First time in Dallas and I just had a few hours before my flight. The guide drives you in a comfortable van with a small group around the city and stops at different locations to step out and explain. There’s also a break in the middle to eat and drink at a farmer’s market. The guide, Preston, was extremely interesting and insightful. He kept it interesting throughout the tour. He’s a historian and a member of the Dallas historical conservation society, so he has a lot of knowledge to share not just about the main sites but also the inner politics of the city. We got to see the main touristy areas (JFK assassination site, etc), but also a general overview of the city and the different neighborhoods it has (from the very rich, to the gentrified art area, in everything in between) so you really get a holistic feel of the city in just 3 hours. It never felt boring or repetitive. I definitely recommend this tour with Preston as your guide.
