- Sarah B0 contributionsJFK and arts district Segway tour in DallasMy husband and I had a wonderful Segway tour with Jason on our 18th anniversary. We had never been on a Segway before and Jason was very patient, kind, helpful and reassuring as we were learning how to successfully operate the machine. Everything he said was accurate. We were both very comfortable on it after only a few minutes of practice. The tour was informative and fun. We got off to a late start while waiting for the other two people in our tour group, but they were apologetic and it was nice having a small group with one leader. The weather was great and we enjoyed the sights we saw and the information Jason gave us about the JFK memorial, the details of his unfortunate assassination as well as other wonderful historical details about the birth of Dallas and about several of the buildings we saw along the way. Jason was funny, knowledgeable, personable and friendly. I was very pleased with the experience and hope to do it again soon.Written April 24, 2023

This has been my 5th time out with Segway Nation. Had a great time in the NOLA location right before COVID kicked off and I'm glad to see they have many of the same staff members here since my last couple outings. I recently bought a Segway of my own so I can ride around with most activities being closed and they allowed me to take a tour with my own Segway. Sure enough, my tour guide did an amazing job highlighting the historic sights and we got to see a bunch of new parks and restaurants and bars that reopened. You do need a mask and you can tell they sanitize everything with the strong Lysol smell that hits you when you walk in. I recommend the morning tour. It was about 90 degrees by the time we finished at 11am and I had a blast. I haven't had this much fun or smiled this much in months. Thanks again Segway Nation and Doug!

We visited Dallas for Spring Break, and I scheduled this Segway tour for Thursday, April 1, 2021. We were a family of two adults and four teens. We had an absolute blast. From my initial dialogue through Facebook messenger I received timely & cordial responses from Doug C. This made me want to book as the initial customer service from the Dallas location was extremely nice. Our guide was a former history teacher and he provided an animated and in-depth account about many of the historical landmarks that we visited such as the JFK Memorial and assassination site. My kids listened intently. He definitely kept their attention. We learned things that we would’ve never known about Dallas by taking the tour! This was our first time ever riding a Segway and we were provided an in depth training so that we would feel comfortable riding. Don’t hesitate to book with Doug at this Dallas this location!

We loved our tour with Doug. It was chilly but we had such a good time. We learned so much in just two hours and got to see parts of the city we had not seen yet. Our tour guide was a wealth of knowledge and he was able to provide great restaurant recommendations and cool local spots along the way. A must do if you are in the city. Segways are such a fun way to see the city.

Our tour guide, Doug, was fantastic. You can tell that he LOVES what he does and especially enjoys sharing "his" city with visitors. He gave a lot of helpful hints like where to eat, what to do, even in the midst of a pandemic. Really enjoyed it.

This was my first visit to Dallas and I cannot think of a better way to see the city!!
It starts out with instructions on riding a Segway which is much easier than you’d think. Then off we go.
Our instructor/ guide was a gentleman named Jarrot and he knows Dallas! Besides making sure that you’re comfortable riding the Segway he makes sure that everybody gets to hear what he’s saying about each part of the tour.
I highly recommend this adventure to

First, I'm a native Texan and have been to Dallas for six decades; but boy has it changed. Luckily, the emphasis is not longer the dreaded JRK ordeal but a vibrant city on the move. Four of us tried the Dallas segway Memorial Day weekend and it could not have been better. From the get-go, Nation Segway was gracious, safety minded and full of information. The segways are in great shape and, although two in our group had never tried it, picked it right up with the help of the excellent guide. We all had a blast and our Dallas friends even advised that they learned so much about the city that they had never heard before. Just book it and have a blast.

We were given time to become acquainted with the Segways before our tour to ensure we understood how to operate it. Our guide was very informative and helped to alert us of possible obstacles in the road in advance. The tour itself was so interesting. Being able to ride on sidewalks, we were able to see so much more than in a car or bus. I highly recommend this tour if you want to see a lot of downtown Dallas in a short amount of time.

We expected a two-hour tour or close to it. We returned with 25 minutes left. Our tour guide Dan said, “Well, we saw everything there is to see! You guys just didn’t take many pictures.” But compared to the other photos I see here, there is a ton of stuff we missed. When I expressed surprise it was already over with so much time left, he just shrugged it off. He should have been willing to let us ride longer for the money we paid. And he did not take us to nearly all the sights that others have shared photos of. Be sure to get clarification up front of how long the tour will be. Even if it is billed as “approximately two hours” there is no excuse for ending so early given the expense. My kids and I were sorely disappointed and did not feel we got our money’s worth.

First, we got good instructions on how to ride a Segway, which both of us had never done before.
We visited different spots around the city, the tour guides were very knowledgeable about all spots visited and could answer any questions we had. Also recommended some good spots in the city to visit outside of the tour and even some in different cities we would stop at during our road trip. Great value, great guys And great fun!

Our tour guide was Danny and he was amazing. He was so knowledgeable and really gave us a history tour in Dallas. My husband and I never been on a sagway, so we were nervous but excited. He explained it perfectly and the 15min training before heading out was just enough. Our tour group was small, which I enjoyed alot, so it was much easier to gather around and hear him while maintaining safe distance. Danny was so funny and most of all he knew he stuff!! We went to where Oswald killed John F. Kennedy, The Pioneer Trail, The giant Eye, John F.Kennedy memorial, and several other locations. The address on this app is incorrect so we almost didn't do it since we thought it was closed. However, if you continue to walk down on Patterson St. you'll find them. The actual address is 1930 Patterson Dr.

Will we still be "required to wear a face mask in public areas" close to the last Thursday of November--Thanksgiving? I have mild asthma on occasion, and cannot tolerate the masks. According to many virologists they are "virtually useless--like trying to stop mosquitoes with a chain link fence in virus/mask weave comparisons." 2 hours of "mask mandate" would be intolerable for me. Do you run an "open face" tour?

How would this be for a senior citizen that is in good shape and active, but can’t afford a fall.
Written November 3, 2020
We had all ages, including senior citizens. I’m 57.
No one fell. They give you time to practice with the Segway before the tour. You can gauge if you feel confident and in control. The Staff is super great about safety.
They don’t travel very fast, but if one did tumble, it could be problematic.
