Here it is the year is 1912 we're setting out on the maiden voyage of the world's safest largest ship the Titanic. We board the ship and make a couple of stops then we set out across the Atlantic Bound for New York then on that cold Dreadful night or ships fate was to hit the iceberg. We lost 1200 lives at night out of 2000 I was one of the survivors.
Now for the review it's very nice inside it's worth the $21 you'll pay if you get a discounted ticket the gift shop is very cost-effective as it's one of the cheaper places to spend money in Pigeon Forge. They take you through the building of the Titanic the sailing of the Titanic and the sinking of the Titanic right now they have the 20-year anniversary clothing on display from the movie that was cast 20 years ago. The other display items that they normally have are at the facility in Branson Missouri which they will get back next year. So if you've been this year the show will be different next year. We enjoyed ourselves all three of us picked people that survived well they picked them for us but we survived we were all first-class passengers of which 205 survived. It is a great history lesson and what went wrong and how you should not cut corners to save a dollar or a pound. I recommend this show it's good for both adults and children as the audio tour has selections for both which the children will enjoy.

We purchased tickets online at the last minute so our entry time was in the late evening. I recommend purchasing tickets in advance of your trip so you get a better time slot. They hand out personal hand held listening devices to get information at various spots around the museum. I was in a wheelchair and found the museum very accessible, but some displays were hard to see from a seated position. The tour is self paced and people were jammed up at the beginning but spread out as we progressed through the museum. The exhibits, artifacts, and photographs were very interesting, but I found it hard to read many description cards from my seated position. I loved the ticket each guest received with the name, personal information, cabin/dining class, and a short history of an actual passenger. I was able to see where my passenger slept, ate, and spent the days. Happily I learned that she survived. Overall it was a good experience.

My interest in the Titanic started in 1985 when the shipwreck was found on the floor of the Atlantic. When I heard about this museum, I knew I wanted to visit.
The exhibits were very well done. There were a number of artifacts that were blown out of the ship when it tore in two pieces before sinking, and were picked up on the surface of the ocean. It's amazing to stand before a glass case containing Isadore Strauss's watch fob, or a letter written by a traveler, or a deck chair. It's sobering to read about individuals who died in that tragic accident.
The tour starts with a number of museum-style exhibits. The you arrive at a replica of Titanic's Grand Staircase. It's magnificent! The real thing must have been a sight to behold. You walk up the staircase and find more exhibits, one of which is a HUGE model of Titanic that was built of Legos in 11 months by an autistic young boy. As a grandfather to three Lego loving boys, I was quite impressed! There were also displays of what third, second, and first class accommodations would have looked like.
It was nice to have employees dressed as Titanic crew would have dressed, but there were a number of references to "boarding," "setting sail," etc., that I found a little cheesy. But that's all a matter of taste.
I'm glad we came. I'm also glad we had planned other activities in Pigeon Forge - namely, the Smokey Mountain National Park - because this museum by itself is not worth the trip. But overall, I'm glad we went!

The Titanic Museum in Pigeon Forge TN is a must see if you are at all interested the history and passengers of the Titanic. This is a self -guided activity that allows you to go at your own pace and learn as much or as little as you would like. We spent 2.5 hours going through the exhibit, learning about the specs of the ship, the history of the passengers, the purpose of their journey as well as who survived and about their lives. The exhibit made the Titanic and the passengers personal and relatable. There were periodic benches to sit and rest if needed and restrooms about midway through. Staff in period dress helped answer questions and guided you through the exhibit. There are also separate audio guides for children and the staff also addressed information to each of the groups interest. I would recommend making time for this exhibit when in Pigeon Forge / Gatlinburg area. If you belong to AAA you can obtain a ticket discount.

We had a wonderful experience learning about the experiences of those who boarded the Titanic. There are so many artifacts and stories to experience that both young and old visitors will enjoy. Ascending the grand staircase was a dream come true for a fan of the movie and learning interesting facts made this trivia buffs heart happy. We did not have any children with us but enjoyed both audio tours and learning about the individuals who were aboard the ship. Be prepared for an emotional experience. The museum is currently focusing on its Jewish passengers until March 2023 and then will be focusing on the experiences of children aboard the ship through March 2024. This was the perfect attraction for a rainy day in the area and we learned so much! I would recommend this to anyone in the area during the off season as we did not have to wait in line and did not feel rushed while observing the displays and interacting with the various activities throughout the museum. If you are not a fan of history or trivia, this may not be the attraction for you.

The museum was really well done and appeals to all ages. I was impressed. Be advised you cannot take pics for the first half of the museum. Upon getting in line you get a card of a person who boarded the ship and by the end of the tour you will find out if your person made it out or not. I suggest going during your visit to Pigeon Forge.

We pre-bought our tickets due to the fact that we would be there on Spring Break. I’d recommend buying them ahead of time anyways because it’s a popular attraction that seems to sell out.
Without knowing we actually did our tour on April 10th which ironically was the day the Titanic set sail, so being there on the anniversary was kind of cool!
One of my favorite parts was how each guest got a passport before entering with the name and story of an actual traveler. It really made you feel invested in the tour and really gave you some insight into that time.
This museum did a fantastic job at giving you information while also having interactive aspects that were eye opening. For example the temperature of the water the ship sailed in, eye opening.
We had a great visit, I would highly recommend to anyone! Great time!

This is definitely a must see attraction. We visited back in July because school started in early August so our grandson always wanted to see the Titanic so we made it a surprise for him. It’s a must you buy your boarding pass early, before you come. Once inside you will see artifacts that we actually recovered from the ship wreckage. Before you board you will be given a listening device where at each station it will give you a detailed description of what you are visiting. This goes through the entire tour. At one point of the tour they have a station where you can simulate steering the ship around an iceberg. Gives an idea on how hard it is to judge and steer. At the end of your tour there is a display set up of 28 degree cold water which gives you an idea of how cold the water was when the ship went down. Also there is another very interesting part, there is a man who filling the roll of Capt. Smith who at the time the ship went down was the ships captain. An excellent portrayal of Captain Smith. The gentleman’s name is Lowell Lytle. Mr. Lytle actually went down to the sunken wreckage in a submersible submarine and he had a story to tell. He actually has a piece of the metal in a protective case like they would put a collectible coin in. He’ll bring the kids forward and let them hold it for a photo op.
For me, this was the best part of the tour. Very educational for sure.

If you are interested in taking a couple hours of education on the Titanic, this is where you need to be.
My wife and I loved this museum! If you want to learn more about the Titanic, or see some incredible finds from the wreckage - I highly recommend visiting. The audio guide is a great addition, and gives you so much information all throughout the museum.
The only thing I would say is to make sure you take the time to enjoy yourself, and take in all the information. Obviously allow other people to see the pieces, but don’t feel rushed if folks are going quickly through the exhibits. They aren’t taking it all in the way it’s meant to be experienced!

I went to the museum with my family on our last day of our trip to TN. It was interactive and enjoyable - You are given a ticket with the name of a passenger on the ship and in the end you determine if you survived. It was a great memorial for all involved in the titanic and I learned a lot by going through the museum. I would recommend doing this in the morning - we went in the afternoon after having a morning full of activities and it was difficult to pay attention and read all the details when you're tired.

They have a model of the sloped deck as various stages in the sinking so yes, you can walk up the sloped surface of a deck mockup to feel what it was like when the ship was sinking. Very disorienting!

I am looking forward to visiting your museum. I'm not exactly sure what time I'll be able to get there. If I pre-purchase a ticket and show up an hour earlier than my scheduled time would I be able to enter the museum at the earlier time? What would happen if I show up 30 minutes or an hour later than my scheduled time? Thank you!

TexSteve - This page is from travelers such as your self who have visited the museum. We can give you our experiences, but in this case as I am not extremely familiar with their policies I will have to speculate. My guess is that you will be welcome if you are either early or late other than on an extremely busy day, then I think that they will still try to fit you in. Myself, I always show up early, the worst that can happen is that I have to wait.
I hope that you enjoy the museum as much as I did.
