My visit to the Country Music Hall of Fame was enjoyable in every way. We had purchased tickets through the website for 10:15am on a weekday. We arrived 10 minutes early (as requested) and everything was ready for us. The staff took our temperatures, gave us wristbands and escorted us to the desk where we picked up our audio guides ($5 extra per person) and well worth it. Despite being well attended, every hall and exhibit area was spaced out with markers on the floors telling everyone where to stand. The audio tour helped explain every display while still providing the flexibility to skip things we weren't interested in. My son loved the cars and I liked the display right before the record hall that talked about the role session musicians played in classic songs. And how can you go wrong with the Firebird from Smokey and the Bandit Jerry Reed photo and all. There are a few areas that are not yet open (probably due to COVID) but that was OK with us. Allowing visitors to take photos (just no flash) was a great perk. All in all a fantastic place to learn about country music and the performers who have made it great.

I’m not a country music fan at all. But I was in Nashville, it was near the hotel so we went. Even if you’re not a fan of the music the museum takes visitors through the roots and origins of the music all the way to the present day. I gained a better appreciation of the genre.

Spend the extra $5 on the audio guide, it’s well worth it.

This museum was a great introduction to the many musical sub-genres within country music. We enjoyed the multi-sensory experience offered via a blend of exhibits, video and audio clips and posters. Really enjoyed the top floor, the bottom
Floor with exhibits covering the 60s to current area could be better organized.
Note that when you buy admission tickets with audio tour you cannot avail of any of the youth/student/teacher/senior discounts. In retrospect, the audio tour was not really necessary to enjoy the experience.

Came here with friends on a road trip. Not a country music fan at all - classic rock guy. Having said that, I was impressed with the displays and overall presentation, and thoroughly enjoyed my visit. Lots of history, awesome memorabilia, and everything well laid out and displayed. The audio guide made the complete experience well worth it - definitely recommend getting the audio guide, rather than trying to read it all on your own. I would say this is a must for any country music fan.

What a great experience. The exhibits are all laid out very nicely but the amount of information is a bit overwhelming. I figured me and my 16-year old son might spend an hour or two walking through the Hall, but three and half hours we were finally finished. We paid for the audio devices which helped guide us on the tour but we still took the time to read most of the individual exhibit placards. Definitely a must-do while in Nashville.

This was one of our best tourist experiences in Nashville. We spent the entire day! The museum is three floors. You start on three and work your way down. It is set up chronologically through the history of country music. The instruments (some the oldest I had ever seen), stage clothes, Hatch print posters, gold and platinum records and the videos and stories that accompany everything they have. Even a gold plated Cadillac that belonged to Elvis. We ate lunch on site and it was wonderful. The burrito was huge and very tasty. We did do the side tour to the RCA Studio B which was a little disappointing if you have toured Sun Records in Memphis, but I was happy to see the studio and it was only an hour. My only complaint, if you will, was on the second floor the acoustics are such that some of the freestanding video screens are more than difficult to hear. Also, I am not sure you need the audio guide. The information provided on the displays is more than enough.

We visited out of interest, it’s a large venue, the museum tour starts on the 3rd floor then down to the Hall of Fame. We took the audio guides to help us navigate the exhibits. Very interesting but I have to say by the end of it I had seen enough rhinestone costumes and guitars.

Wasn’t sure what to expect in the hall of fame, you hear about these places mentioned in the media but I’ve always wondered what they were. Well, the Country Music Hall of Fame is cathedral like space with bronzes of the members on the wall, the bronzes look a bit tacky if I’m being brutally honest but it was interesting read the bios for each “inductee”. Overall worth a visit just to a handle on contemporary US culture.

We did this tour to do something in Nashville other than eat or drink and I was pleasantly surprised. We really enjoyed the museum. I highly recommend adding the audio tour as it gives you a ton of history and takes you through the entire museum with explanations. Museum is nicely kept and easy to get through and wasn’t super overcrowded. Recommend if you like country music or just want to learn more about its origins.

4 of us went here on our visit to Nashville because it seemed like the thing to do. We are not huge country fans, but the museum was very interesting and informative. We learned a lot about country music. We got our tix online for $26 and it was a 2 hr self guided tour with and audio head set. We were in there for almost 3 hours. You see pictures of everyone who was inducted into the Hall of Fame, guitars, cars, clothing, videos... It's almost too much because there is so much to see and listen to. But worth it!

Great day visiting the CMHOF! We also purchased the audio guide and we really liked it! You can pick and choose which displays you want to listen to by just pressing the exhibit # in the handheld audio guide. It gives you more information and was easier to hear than if you were in a group tour. The only glitch we had was I purchased tickets through trip advisor back in January and when I got the confirmation e-mail there was a link you could go to at CMHOF that could download your tickets at that time which I did but then when they were scanned, it said they had been returned (?) so we just went back to the information desk and was able to resolve it quickly. Overall great experience!
