- je61820 contributionsExcellent Tour with ScottWe took a private food tour while in Nashville and it was excellent. I wanted a walking food tour and my friend wanted a food tour by van. We ended up being driven around by Scott and that was definitely the way to go! We got to see sights in the city, hear stories from Scott and taste some of the best food in East Nashville. We requested East Nashville from all of the good reviews. We met at Far Better Distillery where we started with bourbon tasting. I don’t like bourbon but the flavored bourbons were delicious and we ended up buying some (Apple Pie, Chocolate with Cherry and Expresso Martini to name a few). We then went to Donut Distillery for some yummy donuts and strawberry mimosas. Next up was Hot Chicken from Prince’s (the original family-owned hot chicken) in the Assembly Food Hall, followed by BBQ at Martin’s BBQ Joint (highly recommend) and ending at a delicious cookie place. Scott was personable and had stories to share about any country star you can name. We even drove by East Nashville High School where Oprah graduated. The experience was definitely worth the price if you’re wondering.Written December 19, 2024
- O4727FMericas0 contributionsNo responseto calls or emailsRe: 1 stat due to lack of response from vendor I bought my event via trip advisor. After I realized I put in the wrong email address, I called their office and emailed multiple times/days to get a confirmation that I was booked on tour (the initial message from the trip advisor said they are checking if there is space on the tour). No one has responded. Which I find to be extremely disappointing and unprofessional.Written September 18, 2024
- 446sherrih0 contributionsGreat and informative tour! Our wonderful walking tour guide, Scott, shared colorful backstories about Nashville's history, food and music culture. As we strolled through the Germantown area that included the capitol, we sampled delicious food like authentic hot chicken, delicious tacos, tasty cookies, and the absolute best salted caramel truffles I've ever eaten! (Other delicious truffle options were available) Our quick stops at local eateries were well planned out to highlight the rich and diverse local culture of the area. The tour ended at Far Better Distillery where we were treated to a whiskey tasting and education on how small batch whiskey is produced. Scott was a great ambassador for Music City!Written May 24, 2024

- belindas5690 contributionsGood food with best cultural tourWe’ve done two walking food tours in Nashville. This one was by far the best. Kristie was so insightful and took us to the best local hidden gems - from “hot chicken” to chocolate truffles to the smallest distillery in Tennessee - and all the history of Germantown in between. Highly recommend this tour.Written March 21, 2024
- 619JulieS6190 contributionsWonderful walking tourWe did the 2.5-hour food and history walking tour on 2/24/24. Our tour guide, Scott, was phenomenal! He shared tons of information and told great stories. We had hot chicken, mini donuts, BBQ, a frosty bushwhacker (rum milkshake) and a delicious Goo Goo Cluster. This was our first time in Nashville and this tour was the perfect intro to the city.Written February 25, 2024
- lynnetteb8640 contributionsHot Honey and Moonshine! We spent the day with Christy, and it was just like hanging out with a friend (the smart and funny ones). Christy balanced the tour with great history and interesting tidbits with unique food samples. Starting the tour with some history and an understanding of the geography and culture of the state was really helpful. Bratwurst, chocolates, hot honey pizza and moonshine - what a great day. We ended up heading back to Germantown on our last day to shop at some of the place Christy pointed out. We totally recommend this tour and hope you get Christy as your guide!Written February 23, 2024

- conniegE932ZB0 contributionsGreat Germantown tour with ScottThis is the second tour we did with Dabble Studios and both were excellent. This tour (our guide Scott) was first class. Scott was fun and as a musician had great knowledge and told great stories about some of famous Nashville musicians. His knowledge about history of the Germantown area as well as Nashville was first class. All of the food venues were very well received and delicious. Scott thank you for the wonderful experience.Written February 1, 2024
- Crazy4fishing0 contributionsIncredible experience!Had an amazing time sampling some of Nashville’s best local food while learning about the history of ‘Music City’ from our terrific guide Scott Hinds! Scott’s knowledge of the music scene and backstories coupled with his dry sense of humor made this a wonderful experience! We learned about the origins of Nashville Hot Chicken and samples the best in the city! Plus awesome barbecue, doughnuts and chili. What a perfect way to experience Nashville. I highly recommend this experience for anyone wanting to get away from the big crowd tourist lecture style tour.Written January 1, 2024
- anitamd0705860 contributionsFun Friday in NashvilleOur guide, Scott was amazing. He is native to Tennessee and was a wealth of knowledge. We learned so much from him about the history of hot chicken and country music. He’s funny and engaging with fascinating stories of country music stars and Nashville.Written November 10, 2023
- Samantha F0 contributionsFun for all with a food focus and history as wellThis tour was awesome, so personable and great tour guide, ask for Austin. We saw Nashville at it's greatest. Tons of history, good food and really good whiskey and moonshine. Must see tour.Written October 21, 2023
- vickiem9500 contributionsGreat history and experienceGreat tour for history of Nashville. The Bicentennial Capital Mall was fascinating. So much there we would have e not understood if it had not been for our guide. Evan did a wonderful job of going through things and answering our questions. A bit light in the food portion of the tour compared to others we have doneWritten October 16, 2023
- cstelle910 contributionsAnother great time!2nd Time doing this tour. It was a blast. They changed up the food so it's nice to know the like variety. Fun to eat. Fun to learn.Written October 11, 2023
- 721connorj0 contributionsEat beforehand. We ate half a hot dog and a chicken tender. That was the total of savory food. 2 savory stops and a cookie and a cupcake isn't much of a food tour. Our guide Evan was great, he was fun and knowledgeable but would've preferred to eat something on the tour. Perhaps because an event was going on in bicentennial Park and their regular stops were unable is why it was so disappointing but you need to either replace to the food stops or cancel the tour. Your description says 6 different purveyors, sampling food at 5 stops. We had food at 2.Written October 8, 2023

Red was simply a fantastic tour guide. If you think this is only about the food you would be wrong. We recommend you do this as your FIRST thing in Nashville as while you will try great food, the real bonus here is the Red will tell you where to go with the rest of your trip! Red has an amazing knowledge and love for the city and her energy is intoxicating.
Come hungry and ready to eat. Don’t dawdle you do have to eat quickly sometimes because there is a good amount of riding time from place to place where Red is teaching you about the city.
We were never bored and we enjoyed our time as a tour together. There were 9 of us and it was an easy group to manage.
Note the real value in our opinion is Red...the food was good to experience and deserved follow up on your own time, but Red was the real gem and worth the price of admission.

Kurt, our tour guide did a wonderful job, from food sampling to historical area of Nashville. This is a must thing to do. Go a little early because it takes time load your QR code and sign in, unless you are tech savvy. We are baby boomers and not very proficient in this area. It’s only 12.50 to park for 5 hours, there is a great sports bar in the area to hang out if you have time to spare. We enjoyed the food, the guide and fellow travelers.

You do a lot of grazing in this foody/sighseeing tour, so I would suggest the afternoon tour at 2pm. This will be your late lunch/early dinner. Kurt our tour guide and driver, was super: he told us about the city, its history and described the various neighbourhoods as we drove around in a comfortable mini van. This was a great way to be introduced to Nashville.

We love food tours as a way to get to know a city and sample great food. This tour covered a lot of ground, but the only times the van stopped, was to eat, and that was 4 stops in 3 hours. We passed lots of great photo spots that we had to capture through the window of the van.
To be fair, we originally booked the walking tour. The company called us a couple days before and said the walking tour wasn’t available but moved us to the van one instead at no charge. For the tour price, having only 4 food spots and no stops to enjoy history or scenery, wasn’t a great value. Food wasn’t particularly unique and it was odd to have two sweet stops and no cocktails. Food included: Stop 1, one cupcake. Stop 2, one rib, one hush puppy, a slice of turkey, mini moon pie, and water. Stop 3, one chicken tender Stop 4, 2 mini donuts and water.
Our guide, Red, was great. She’s full of energy and managed to share non-stop commentary for 3 hours. Based on the wonderful tours we’ve attended in other cities, I have to imagine there are better Nashville food tours out there than this one.

Thanks so much for your review! We apologize that you didn't have a terrific time, as that is always our goal. Because the downtown area was closed due to Covid, we did hope you'd enjoy the van-based food tour we were able to offer. We're sorry you weren't interested in the locally roasted coffee, or mimosa offered with the whiskey-glazed donuts, or the bushwhacker cocktails offered at the final stop of the tour. Most guests are impressed with the white beans, local beer, and fresh biscuits served alongside the chicken and the variety of historic landmarks we share. It seems we failed you on this tour, and we hope that we'll have a chance to tour with you again during more normal times to make it up to you.

This was a fun tour of the city of Nashville. Our guide, Scott, was very personable, full of fun facts about the city, and brought us to some REAL Nashville eateries.
The tour spanned a good portion of the city, and Scott had a lot of information on things to do and see in each part of the city. He also had a lot of stories about the musical history of “The Music City”.
I recommend this tour, and ask for Scott, he’ll make sure you’re informed as well as entertained during your tour of this beautiful city.

The tour was overall good to show you some sites and information about the city. It provided insights to some other local places to eat and explore. Evan was very knowledgeable regarding the food that we sampled and knowledge of the city attractions. The food samples were good for the most part and the distillery samples at the end were good depending on your distinctive pallet. My only complaint or disapproving comment was the cost: $97 per person for a piece of chicken/can beverage, a spare rib, a piece of brisket, a cookie, a piece of chocolate and five 1/4 shots of flavored alcohol seemed a bit over priced ($50-$60 per person would be more reasonable).

Our group of 8 booked the van tour, which was the perfect way to get to see so many places we might have missed if traveling by foot. From the moment Red introduced herself to us as our tour guide until we stepped out of the van at the conclusion she entertained, informed and delighted us. Her knowledge of Nashville's history was extensive, and her funny anecdotes kept us all laughing. I learned so many interesting trivia tidbits, and I now know how hush puppies got their name! If you go on the tour, you will, too. Aside from Red being an exceptional host for this trip, the food offerings were plentiful and delicious. From mouth-watering donuts and mimosas at Donut Distillery, to the tastiest ribs and brisket from Martins, and the Nashville Hot Chicken eaten picnic-style, we felt happy and full.

We enjoyed this excursion. The tour guide was full of fun stories and very knowledgeable. He filled up all the time with stories. The actual food stops were very good. The cookies were made with real butter and vanilla. Chocolate was so good that we had to buy more. Was concerned the chicken would be too hot, but it was fine, and perfectly cooked.
The only problem was in the space in the van. The van held 13 people. We had a party of 4. Three very large people took up the back 4 person row, and left very little space for a 4th person. My 3 friends sat in the 3 person row, and I had to try to squeeze into a very tiny space that was extremely uncomfortable. I really didn't fit.
I wish that the guide had taken some initiative, and asked them to sit in the 3 person row, so we could have sat comfortably in the van. This really ruined the entire experience for me.

We had a great time with our guide Kurt W! He was funny, attentive, very knowledgeable. He made sure everyone was taken care of. We had a nice a variety of sights and flavors. He told us great stories about the bicentennial park, the memorials outside the State Capital, and the time capsules. He took us on tastings of pulled pork and sage grits and TN wines; Waldo’s chicken and beer; Martin’s BBQ ribs and briskets; cookies at ? Christine’s. Showed us Broadway and how to cross the streets, and what are the 3 criteria for being a real Honky Tonk! Well worth the price and 3 hours well spent!

Easy transportation in a van and our guide Kurt talked to our group of 12 about local history, people and buildings. We went through every major area of Nashville, and I wished we had taken this tour at the beginning of our trip! We got the best food from ‘small but amazing’ companies—a chicken shack, BBQ restaurant, small pies, and a famous cookie baker. Your started in Germantown at a small distillery where we also got to sample moonshine, aged whiskey and flavored liquors along with a cool drink. I like the fact that the portions were not huge and the sweets were portable so you could eat them whenever you were ready.
