What to expect
  • This Memphis ghost walking tour begins on Beale Street, one of the most iconic streets in America. Beyond this 2-mile stretch of blues clubs and restaurants, however, lies a darker history of vice, voodoo, phantoms, ghosts and lost souls. Hear the tales of an eerie past while visiting some of Memphis' oldest sites. Follow the expert storyteller guide through the town to discover Memphis in a completely different way than the regular tours—in search of its haunted places where a lesser-known history is uncovered.  See the Orpheum Theatre, one of the few remaining movie palaces of the 1920s and home of a ghost named Mary, who has haunted performances here since 1921; the John Alexander Austin House, a Victorian-era mansion said to be haunted by two lovers; the Gayoso House apartment building; and the location of Memphis' haunted piano. Finally, receive a tour of the notorious Ernestine and Hazel's, well known as one of the most haunted buildings in Memphis. Take a look around this former brothel turned bar, which is home to several ghosts—and a haunted jukebox.

Daniel was AWESOME! He made our experience frightful (in a good way) and it was definitely a night to remember. He spoke so highly of the city of Memphis and you can tell that he really respects the spirits he tells you the stories of. We learned so much about the ghosts of Memphis and would be more than excited to go on another tour with Daniel.

There were some sports where we were suggested to take photos to try and capture orbs and ghosts on camera and my husband was lucky and caught an orb!!! (photos attached, you can see the blue spot move)

If you like spooky things/true crime/history, I would highly recommend that you take this tour of Memphis! If I could rate it higher than 5 stars, I would!!!

Our tour guide, Daniel, was amazing! My only tip is to make sure you do this tour at the beginning of your stay in Memphis. We learned about so many places to check out, and didn’t have time to visit them.

So many interesting stories and such a great way to learn more about Memphis history and hauntings that you wouldn’t otherwise know about just walking through downtown. Kate was the best tour guide and had a lot of knowledge about the area and her own personal stories. Definitely take this tour!

Had an amazing stroll around Memphis with Kate L. This guide is totally dialed in to the city and its history. Kate is an excellent presenter with great pacing and personality. Highly recommend this tour. Would love to come back and hear her lead a beer and brothels tour. So fun. #ssdgm #iykyk ❤️ The Jersey Girls
