- Ken_Murray196000A great tour of Stirling Castle and more with David CornwallisWe took the tour of Stirling Castle and the Trossachs with guide David Cornwallis. It was a fantastic tour and one of the highlights of our trip. David is very knowledgeable, informative, and humorous, and we learned a lot about Stirling Castle, the history and battles, and the Scottish royal family. We saw a number of "hairy coos" and met, fed and kissed "Hamish the Hairy Coo". We had lunch at a lovely inn, including some haggis balls appetizers, and took photos at Loch Lomond. David provided us water, Scottish soda, shortbread cookies, and a bit of whiskey, and was a wonderful driver. The tour was an overall great experience. We highly recommend booking your tour with David.
- 779jennb00Off the beaten trackReally enjoyed spending time with Dave. We actually spent two days with him and it was simply lovely! This tour was really just gorgeous views and places we wouldn't have found on our own
- willk24400Take a trip out of the city. You won't regret it!Loved every minute! We got to see castles and feed a cows, learn history. Great way to get out the city!
- Carol W00Great tour with an excellent tour guide!!We booked David for 2 tours since our cruise ship had a stop in Glasgow and Edinburg. David did a wonderful job of showing us his beautiful country and tailored our trip to the places we wanted to see. My husband is an avid golfer so seeing the amazing golf courses was, of course, the top of his list, we went to Old Head, St. Andrews and Prestwick. In addition, we did the tour at Sterling Castle and David did a great job of telling us the history and importance of the castle. We were taken to a local place for amazing fish and chips and David even convinced us all to try Haggis! In addition, to the great information and tour David went ABOVE AND BEYOND, he had hot coffee waiting for us after a very cold and wet day at Sterling Castle, in addition to sharing some super tasty Scottland treats (tablet, shortbread, fudge, and macaroon). If we ever make it back to Scotland we will definitely hire David again and I will continue to highly recommend him to anyone traveling to the area as well!
- carolwL9101NK00David is the BEST tour guide and made sure to throw in extra treats!I can't say enough good things about David! We actually did 2 different tours with him since our cruise had 2 stops in Scotland. He customized the tours so we could get to Stirling Castle, see the countryside and of course, stop at a golf course on the first tour. The second tour was seeing more golf courses, a stop at the whiskey distillery and he then made a special stop so I could pick up some Scottish treats for my kids. David was an excellent host, he had coffee and snack on both tours and was very accommodating. I would HIGHLY recommend Designer Tour if you are visiting Scotland.
