Well we had a fabulous time on the river Tummel with our tutors / instructors who's knowledge and Tuition is second to none . We both enjoyed every Moment of our adventure on the river Bugging and will without a doubt be back next year for another adventure with Splash White Water. Thanks again to Splash Team as always. The scenery down the river is worth the trip alone , the rapids weren’t too exhilarating until the end, but great for a novice. The guides were very skilled, experienced, professional, & focussed on our health and safety at ALL times whilst ensuring we all had the best time we could. My only constructive critisisms are re the facilities. There was a lot of time spent waiting around outside (in the rain) with very few seats. The majority of our group had to stand to eat their lunch under a canopy in the rain. Very limited car parking available. Perhaps you could link up with the cafe across the road? Changing facilities not great. No light in ladies changing room, and no privacy option for those uncomfortable getting changed infront of others. Can i also suggest a blind for the toilet window. A good combination of gentle floating and more exciting rapids. We benefitted from having been in watercraft and in tandem canoes before. As a family of 4 we had a fantastic time White Water Rafting with Splash! All new to this activity, we were given clear instructions from beginning to end. Our guide Xan was fun and included plenty of games to make the experience even more enjoyable. Loads of photos were taken along the way by a member of the team on dry land which were free to access and download at the end, capturing all the exhilarating moments. You will get wet but if you're lucky you won't fall out 😉 100% recommend giving this activity a try.

Booked this as a birthday gift for my partner. What a fun afternoon we had! This was our first time at white water rafting and although the river was fairly tame we had a great day. Deano the instructor was excellent. Very friendly, encouraging to the group, and professional. Our raft were all couples. Despite not knowing each other Deano’s ice breaker games got everyone working together as a team which further added to the experience. Would recommend Splash 100% and will be booking with them again for the higher intensity river rafting experience soon.

2nd time to Aberfeldy, this time as a retirement gift for the in laws.
We were contacted the day before to inform us of a 15 minute change in our arrival time, this was great early communication and we went a walk before hand.
Upon arrival there were around 50 people waiting booked on for the afternoon session. Everyone was signed in, supplied with equipment and bussed to the start point before beginning our trip.
Very smooth operation.
Our guide Sanu was fantastic. He gauged our confidence levels and then organised some team work games whilst on the raft. He had good knowledge of the surrounding area pointing out features of interest.
Sanu was brilliant fun and allowed us to go for a dip at certain points of the river.
The staff team were all super helpful and we discussed coming back for different activities in the future.

Fantastic to hear that the retirement gift of a river experience with the Splash team went down well with all in your group. With the strange world, we have all been experiencing these last two years it is great to see folks getting out and about and experiencing the great outdoors to celebrate important life events like retirement. Had a raft of 8 people on a cold but dry day with snow in the hills . From start to finish we had a fantastic day, After a calm start on the river which gave Kamal our guide time to run through safety procedures and for us to get used to the raft things became more rough as we came to several rapids.
We felt completely safe and we're guided through our trip perfectly.
Wet suits and everything we needed were provided and excellent photographs taken by other members of the splash team of our time on the river were available at the end.
Altogether a great day out

I feel a bit bad leaving this review, but do feel other visitors need to be aware. The booking process was very easy - really friendly and responsive emails from the team. The event started on time and the safety briefing was to the point. All good so far.
The problem came when we got on the river. I was there with my adult son hoping for a bit of an adrenaline-filled afternoon. The river was like a mirror. No white water to be seen at all. We paddled unbelievably slowly down the river - probably because of the mixed ability in the raft (our group ranged from an estimated 8 years to 60 years). Paddle for 30 seconds, rest for five minutes.
We were told it was about three miles of calm water and then three miles of rapids. To give you an idea of how this actually panned out, I recorded the session on my Garmin watch. It took just over two hours and we had an average speed of 4 kph (to give you an idea, 6kph is walking speed).
When we got to the rapids, there was a tiny bit of white water on the surface, but with the exception of the final rapid, there was nothing remotely fast, thrilling or challenging. The scenery was beautiful and the guide did a reasonable job of trying to make things a bit more interesting, so we had a jump off the boat and a float around at one point. But the point was, this wasn't what I'd paid for.
So, in summary, a friendly activity in a beautiful setting but if we had been told up front "just to let you know, the river is really low at the moment, so it will be a very gentle paddle down the river" we certainly wouldn't have paid over £100 for the experience.

Went rafting on the River Tay as part of my stag do, great fun all round and good banter from our instructor. Also had a great laugh going down all the rapids! The trip was well organised, all equipment and transport to/from the river was provided. They take very good quality photos of you on the rafts along the trip, which were then uploaded to their website on the same day, so you can quickly see how much fun you had! I would recommend this to anyone with a decent sized group (there were 6 of us plus the instructor, but I think the rafts could accommodate quite a few more). Equally, I think you could do this with slightly fewer people in a raft and still enjoy it. I'd do this again, maybe the River Tummel next time!

What a fabulous afternoon!!!
We had the best time rafting down the Tay expertly guided by Pretam who did so with great banter as well as looking after our safety. Our group of strangers quickly made a great team and were very enthusiastically encouraging each other to jump into the Tay!
Communication with Splash from the initial enquiry was very quick and efficient.
Would definitely recommend to all and we can’t wait to go back, hopefully in the not too distant future.

We booked rafting on the river Tay as a fun family activity for me, my husband and 2 kids (16 & 12). We all had a fantastic time. Everything was so well organised and our guide was great and very experienced so you always felt safe. This was a great introduction to rafting that we all enjoyed and would definitely do again!

We had the most fantastic day white water rafting. The whole team were great and ready to help us as much as possible. On the day we went it was the wettest windiest day of our holiday but the splash rafting team had us smiling and laughing from the start. Once we were on the river the games began against the other boats...who could get the other rafts the wettest . Both my children and I fell off the boat at some point and into a very cold 🥶 river, but we were completely safe with all the safety equipment we were wearing and the safety briefing we were given.
I would highly recommend this experience, it was an amazing afternoon, the children voted it as being the best day of their holiday and still talk about how much fun it was. We will definitely be booking again.

Wet and wild! All helps in Splash World. Fantastic to hear that you did not let the weather put you off and you enjoyed the river experience with the Splash team. The best day of the holiday is what we aim for so great to hear that the kids thought so.

Spent half a day white water rafting on the River Tay from Aberfeldy to celebrate my 30th birthday with friends and my sister. Our guide Donas was excellent providing us with information on the local area as we slowly made our way down the River Tay towards the rapids while taking in the peaceful surroundings. He then provided us with an excellent trip through the rapids which was an exhilarating experience. We were all slightly apprehensive before the trip not knowing what to expect but by the end of the trip we were on a massive high and craving more. The photographs taken during the trip were great and can be downloaded for free. Looking forward to taking part in another Splash White Water Rafting activity soon.

Absolutely, it is an individual choice whether you jump in and swim about or sit in raft. Plus the instructor is fully qualified in the safety of the people in the raft.

Thinking of booking this for myself and husband. (Age 59 and 62). Would really love to give this a go but I'm a bit apprehensive about the raft tipping over and not being in control. Is the water very deep?

You cannot say that would never happen, but if it were to, you have had instruction on what to do. Also, you'll be wearing protective gear and buoyancy aids. The instructors are experienced. It was thrilling, not scary.

If the organisation is taking bookings they will see it as okay to go white water rafting. We were supplied with so many layers to wear that I was really quite warm. Feet were wet and cold but not uncomfortable.
