The guides were very friendly and knowledgeable, they briefed us well and we felt safe the whole time. They know every rock on this course haha! We loved that we get free photos, the lady taking the photos is really lovely too and took so many, love them. (We were walking to the meeting point and asking for a lift - coincidentally, one of the guides was driving by and we were able to hitch a ride. Very kind and friendly of them!)

2nd time to Aberfeldy, this time as a retirement gift for the in laws.
We were contacted the day before to inform us of a 15 minute change in our arrival time, this was great early communication and we went a walk before hand.
Upon arrival there were around 50 people waiting booked on for the afternoon session. Everyone was signed in, supplied with equipment and bussed to the start point before beginning our trip.
Very smooth operation.
Our guide Sanu was fantastic. He gauged our confidence levels and then organised some team work games whilst on the raft. He had good knowledge of the surrounding area pointing out features of interest.
Sanu was brilliant fun and allowed us to go for a dip at certain points of the river.
The staff team were all super helpful and we discussed coming back for different activities in the future.

Our white water rafting trip was loads of fun, the team were great and very knowledgeable our guide was Aaron. He had us play games on the calm parts of the river and guided us through the rapids very confidently. We'll be back! :)

Booked this as a birthday gift for my partner. What a fun afternoon we had! This was our first time at white water rafting and although the river was fairly tame we had a great day. Deano the instructor was excellent. Very friendly, encouraging to the group, and professional. Our raft were all couples. Despite not knowing each other Deano’s ice breaker games got everyone working together as a team which further added to the experience. Would recommend Splash 100% and will be booking with them again for the higher intensity river rafting experience soon.

We had an amazing time with Pete, Chris, Bonnie and all the charming staff at Splash 💦. The rafting was a wonderful experience, another opportunity to view the beauty of Loch Tay, this time from the water. Thanks to Chris for being such an interesting Guide and for looking after all of us so well.

I feel a bit bad leaving this review, but do feel other visitors need to be aware. The booking process was very easy - really friendly and responsive emails from the team. The event started on time and the safety briefing was to the point. All good so far.
The problem came when we got on the river. I was there with my adult son hoping for a bit of an adrenaline-filled afternoon. The river was like a mirror. No white water to be seen at all. We paddled unbelievably slowly down the river - probably because of the mixed ability in the raft (our group ranged from an estimated 8 years to 60 years). Paddle for 30 seconds, rest for five minutes.
We were told it was about three miles of calm water and then three miles of rapids. To give you an idea of how this actually panned out, I recorded the session on my Garmin watch. It took just over two hours and we had an average speed of 4 kph (to give you an idea, 6kph is walking speed).
When we got to the rapids, there was a tiny bit of white water on the surface, but with the exception of the final rapid, there was nothing remotely fast, thrilling or challenging. The scenery was beautiful and the guide did a reasonable job of trying to make things a bit more interesting, so we had a jump off the boat and a float around at one point. But the point was, this wasn't what I'd paid for.
So, in summary, a friendly activity in a beautiful setting but if we had been told up front "just to let you know, the river is really low at the moment, so it will be a very gentle paddle down the river" we certainly wouldn't have paid over £100 for the experience.

Having been twice, once with a school trip and recently with a family group to celebrate a 'Big' birthday, we highly recommend this company. The team are polite, courteous and they take the time to sort everyone out and to ensure everyone hads fun in a really safe way. I was a bit nervous at my youngest (11) taking part. The minute I arrived I knew my fears were unfounded. We were all looked after so well and everyone had a great time. The instructors had to work so hard with the river being so low. Thanks so much to the team. We will definitely be back.

Had a brilliant afternoon white water rafting on the Tay River. The river was a bit low and slow due to not much rain recently but Ian our instructor was absolutely brilliant he kept us laughing with his patter and jokes and really made the experience great with his knowledge of the river and the wildlife who live on it. We definitely had the best fun over the other rafts on the water. Good job Ian

What a great day we had!!! We are a group of 4 ladies in our 50s and all had an amazing time. We arrived in Aberfeldy, parking wasn't any problem, and checked in. We were then issued with all our gear and shown to the changing area. We were then bused, masks must be worn, to the departure point on the river where we had a safety talk. I think there were 5 or 6 rafts so approx 45 people with a guide in each raft. We were so lucky to have Jack who is very experienced and been rafting all over the world. He was very knowledgeable, knew the river and surrounding area very well. The river is beautiful and rafting is the perfect way to see it. We were on the river for about 1 hour 45 minutes. Worth every penny and we would definitely do this again.

The best bit was where the water got exciting but I loved it all, even when I got swept overboard and dunked in the river. The guide (a lovely frenchman, sorry, forgotten his name) swiftly hauled me back in. The briefing was comprehensive & humorous and I would recommend this as an exhilarating way of spending 2 to 3 hours in Aberfeldy.

Great experience, kids loved it, the guides were fun. It was quite expensive though and we expected more challenging rapids, the river was very tame overall. Nice touch to offer free photographs but I haven’t been given online access to them yet.

Absolutely, it is an individual choice whether you jump in and swim about or sit in raft. Plus the instructor is fully qualified in the safety of the people in the raft.

Thinking of booking this for myself and husband. (Age 59 and 62). Would really love to give this a go but I'm a bit apprehensive about the raft tipping over and not being in control. Is the water very deep?

You cannot say that would never happen, but if it were to, you have had instruction on what to do. Also, you'll be wearing protective gear and buoyancy aids. The instructors are experienced. It was thrilling, not scary.

If the organisation is taking bookings they will see it as okay to go white water rafting. We were supplied with so many layers to wear that I was really quite warm. Feet were wet and cold but not uncomfortable.
