We did the full day Blasket Island and Marine Tour. Blasket Island was a lovely addition to our travels, amazing to see the seals on the beach and learn the history of the island. The guides did an amazing job to find marine wildlife but the fog descended … luckily there were some lovely dolphins and plenty of seabirds to keep us company. They were lovely guides for our day.

I went on an incredible adventure on 10 July - it was so good that I went for a second trip. I have not been disappointed on either trip. Thanks again to Mick, the owner who tries to reduce my expectations (always fails), to Vincent the driver who has a nose to find wildlife and to John, the guide who describes the animals. I will be back again for approaching my fortieth trip - the trips are so good!

Do Go ,Memorable!! My wife and I loved the trip to see the cliffs and the Blasket Islands from the water level. Kudos to Dave, our guide , on understanding the formation and history. I sincerely appreciate the care he gave my wife who suffered a bad ankle sprain literally while walking to the cruise office.

We booked the tour in hopes of seeing our first basking shark sighting. We were fortunate to see 25+ basking sharks and even a few minke whales. The crew was incredible and I would book again in a heartbeat. This was a highlight of my trip to Ireland.

We were booked on the full day trip but Mick the skipper cancelled the evening due to poor forecast. We decided to do the morning trip and we were delighted we did. We saw some beautiful animals and it was a real privilege to be allowed to see them in their natural environment. Richard, the naturalist on the tour, was incredibly knowledgeable and patient with our very basic questions. His enthusiasm was infectious. If you get a chance do one of these tours. Mick returned the excess we paid immediately to my card with no fuss.

Fantastic trip to Blasket islands and an opportunity to take in the beautiful views and coastline of the peninsula. Spotted a dolphin pod, plenty of birdlife, basking sharks and the Blasket island inhabitants from hares to the seal colony on the beach. Mick, skipper and crew are very welcoming, knowledgeable and considerate of marine life. Highly recommend.

We did the 4 hour tour on a rainy afternoon. The crew were great and it was worth doing - got to see common and bottle nose dolphins, as well as lots of other birds and animals. Caution if you have a bit of a weak stomach (as I did!) as its a long time to be sea sick. But would recommend it as a nice afternoon activity

Had an absolutely brilliant day with all day boat tour from ventry, blessed with sunshine and especially seeing dolphins,seals,minke,Fin and humpack whales, myself, partner and son had a most unforgettable day.highly recommended to my family and friends. We had a great weather morning for the 3 hour trip to and from the Blaskets with Mike Sheeran and Britta. All Covid 19 regulations were carried out and hand sanitizer was generous. We felt safe and secure throughout. (Both in our mid seventies.) The big guys - whales etc. were having a day off but we saw puffins and a variety of other sea birds. The grey seals were plentiful near Blasket Mor and when we 'Meowed' to them they followed the boat! Mike also gave us a glimpse into Island life as he had lived there for some years The scenery was a gift from the gods. We will be back! Many thanks. Annmarie and Frances.

We did the all day tour for our honeymoon and loved every minute. On the ocean we saw risso’s dolphins, common dolphins, grey seals, and TONS of puffins. The island itself had gorgeous cliff hikes as well as free guided tours of the ruined town and its history. Our skippers and spotters were very informative and friendly. It was an exhausting day trip but worth every minute.

My wife and I took the Eco Tour on the Jessica Kate to the Blasket Islands. The afternoon trip allows for a short walk on Great Blasket. The wildlife sightings were incredible. Fungi, smaller porpoises, more dolphins, seals, puffins, shearwaters, red deer. The guide was passionate and knowledgable. If you can, latch onto a tour at Great Blasket and learn some of the history.

We chose to join the Eco Tour spontaneously when we were in Dingle and it was a great experience! On our first day in Dingle we 'met' Fungi and while it was entertaining we would have booked the Eco Tour instead, had we known about it in advance. The tour is an entire afternoon (5 hours), in which you leave the Dingle Bay (we saw Fungi on the way out and return) to head for the Blasket Islands. You can decide if you would like to spend the majority of the time on the largest island (where the abandoned village is) or continue the boat ride around the islands where most of the wildlife is and some of the most unique views. The extended boat ride was great. Our guide was very knowledgeable and answered all of our questions although it was difficult to hear him on the speaker system. We got to see hundreds of birds (mostly puffins and cormorants) and the best and most varied views of cliffs on our trip (binoculars would be extremely useful). Be weary of the weather (windy and colder on the boat) and the amount of time on the boat (3 to 4 hours). For those worried about the wind on the boat or the length of the ride the extended island stop (3 hours) would be a great option. The extended boat ride option only offers a 1 hour stop at the island which sounds like a lot but for us was much too short. The island is beautiful and has an interesting history to learn about, there are also accommodations: coffee shop & bathrooms. The beach and gray seals were a highlight for us! Be sure to dress appropriately, maybe bring a blanket for the boat ride. On a nice day you can't go wrong for the money.
