From the moment we we picked up by a smiling Yannis we knew we were in for a good evening. Once all our fellow chefs had been picked up we made our way to the foot hills of the white mountains. We arrived at the farmhouse where the cooking was going to take place the views and scenery stunning . All facilities were immaculate and spotless . We were warmly welcomed by our hosts and enjoyed a welcome drink before the coking commenced . The ingredients were so fresh and aromatic and the teachers enthusiastic, helpful and funny . The cooking was also good fun and enjoyable, so laughter filled the mountain air,. Once all was prepared we sampled 3 local wines and listened to really informative tales of Cretan history, the banquet was then served , it was absolutely delicious!! A big thanks to all the wonderful people who made the night truly memorable.ypu must go you won’t regret it.

I went solo and had a really enjoyable afternoon/evening. I would recommend it to others. The organizers and Andreas made it very special and intimate. Andreas was extremely knowledgeable and humorous. It was nice way to meet and socialize with others too

This cooking class was one of the most amazing experiences I have ever done! I love cooking and could not recommend it more it was so beautiful, the location, food and wine. ALL OF IT UNREAL! A must do!

Highly recommend this tour to anyone interested in WW2 / the Battle of Crete and the impact of war on Crete. Babis was a fantastic guide - informative, knowledgeable, hospitable, and gave a very balanced perspective. He efficiently steered us through the 6 hours of the tour and many stops without it feeling like a long or too intense day. There were many highlights: the battlefields, military cemeteries, the bunker, 42nd Street, and the private museum which is an amazing collection. Thanks Babis and GS tours!

Fantastic trip, the memorials were very moving and the information about the battles was delivered engagingly. The highlight was getting to see a local collector’s assembly of all sorts of WW2 memorabilia kept in incredible condition. His devotion to his work and craft is inspiring.

Maria was knowledgeable, easy to understand and super nice! Hotel was wonderful too! Steve picked us up from airport and was extremely nice as well. All good! Would use you guys again.

Our tour started with a pickup from Thanassi who turned out the be the most lovely and fabolous Guide. He not only knew a lot of interesting things about Crete, his own story was at least as exciting. The lovely place where we were taken to cook was very beautiful up in the mountains und has a lot of history. The hosts and the cook of the tour were very very friendly, the food and vine was very tasty and the tour of the site was exciting as well. All in all the trip was perfect for us thanks to Thanassi and the lovely hosts!

The Cretan cooking experience was one of our favorite parts of our Greece vacation and certainly our favorite part of our visit to Crete. The family and tour guide were so kind and welcoming and made the whole group feel like part of the family. The extra history and information given about Crete was far better than anything we could’ve read in a book or online. The food was delicious and our bellies weren’t the only thing full when we left; our hearts were full too

We had a great experience! This tour was so much more than just a cooking class, as it also had a wine tasting, feeding of goats and sheep, and an overview of the olive oil making process and Crete. The food was the best meal we had while in Crete. Would highly recommend!

It was a very wholesome experience: Good food, nice wine, stunning views, history and culture. Yannis was an extraordinarily professional guide and, at the same time, warm and welcoming. The same goes for the cook and the host - all seemed to enjoy what they were doing.

Such a fun and skilful experience! My boyfriend and I loved this cooking class. We got to learn so many useful skills and tips that we will definitely use in future! The food we got to make tasted incredible and we loved how passionate the tour guides and chef were about their cooking, traditions, culture and history. The wine tasting was also excellent and we got to see some beautiful scenery as the class was held up in the Cretan mountains! We also go the chance to feed some goats and sheep which was also a lot of fun. Couldn’t fault this class at all!

I went with a friend and worried it would be more appropriate for couples but was happy with our experience. The family who owns the property and instructed is we’re friendly and our guides were fun and knowledgeable. Thanks to them again for accommodating my friend with his injury! Our group was a perfect size at 9 individuals. The recipes were simple but very tasty. Must do!

We had such an incredible time learning how to cook Cretan dishes and being in the company of other travelers during this experience. The location is amazing. It's set on a picturesque property with views of the sea and mountains. Yannis is a warm and friendly host. He shared a lot of interesting stories about Cretan history and made sure we all felt comfortable and welcome. The food turned out fantastic and it was a lot of fun cooking with a large group of people. Also it was all vegetarian! I would 100% recommend this experience to anyone visiting Crete.
