Wonderful show. Sorry it took me so long to get there.
This was an excellent show. All the great Garth songs. Rich did a wonderful job. It was obvious he loved doing it. Also a great back up band behind him.

    GTS Must See Production
After visiting GTS Motown tribute for the third time, I am convinced that this show is ready to hit the road. It is absolutely the best and I think rates along with “Ain’t to Proud to Beg”. It’s a perfect production with some of Motown’s greatest hits. Some of my favorites were the skits of Jimmy Mack, Please Mr. Postman, Do you Love Me, and Two Lovers. Other highlights included a tribute to the Jackson 5, Midnight Train to Georgia, with a perfect ending with “End of the Road”. The video of Martha Reese and the Vandella was a classic. The “Party Man” soul train line was a blast along with the tribute to the “gone but not forgotten”. This show is perfect, so don’t change a thing. If you like Motown this is a “Must See” production.

    Don’t miss this show!
I have seen many tributes over the years, but the Original Motown tribute is by far the best I have seen in years. You will get a show that is 1 hour and 30 minute of soulful sounds of the Motown legends! I was singing and dancing from the first song to the last.

    Thanks for the Motown Vibe!
We come to MB each year for our anniversary and This was our third year in a row going to this show. There were new faces and different songs. I miss the married couple that was apart of the show the past two years. I missed the soul in the soul train line like before. We would have liked to hear more well known Motown classic songs as to keep everyone engaged. But overall we still enjoyed the show and we always love it when the gentleman sings “End Of The Road”! The newer older gentleman was also amazing to watch. And the new tall guy with the deep voice did a fantastic job. We could tell he was nervous but we enjoyed his performance.

    Not what I expexted
Venue is small and know that they will not seat you if you arrive after 7:50 even though the show starts at 8. Further, they over book and expect ppl not to show. The place is extremely uncomfortable. Think hole in the wall. You will be embarrassed to go to the bathroom. The singing is ok, but it’s not like a you would think of a Motown show. The singers come out together and it’s more like good singers, but not a good overall show. The show is definitely hit or miss and depends on your preferences. It didn’t suit mine.

We arrived 7 minutes late. A female called us 3 minutes before we arrived to let us know that "we should have been on time" and that she will have to ask the 100 people in the room if it is okay to hold the show for us to arrive which was rude right off the start. Said it was too bad but my 2 young children and me and husband can't attend the show. I referred back to the ticket I purchased and said according to the policy on the ticket it states "if late you can enter during intermission". I told her we understand if we have to wait until intermission to enter the show. She then said that there is NO intermission and that she would do me a favor by giving me half of the cost of our tickets in a gift card. I told her I would see her in a minute as I was walking in as we were talking on the phone. When I went in, she said "no we don't have the gift card, it will go to your email!! which would have been nice to mention before I took the time to find parking and walk in. She said that she was doing me a favor by giving me the half credit by gift card to use at their theater (which I am on vacation and won't be coming back in a long while-so a gift card is really pointless). When I mention they should take the incorrect information off their website that you are able to enter during intermission and that I would be writing a review about my experience. The lady said "oh in that case, I am not going to give you a gift card then" and she "was not going to do me a favor any longer". She had a man that was standing up by her and said "this is the show owner and he agrees to not let you have the gift card" who appeared in a dirty black t-shirt, unshaved, and wearing jeans and baseball cap. Looking at the sales policy on their website it says 1/2 price of show tickets for same day cancellations will be given by gift card. So I said you aren't doing me a favor and that it was according to policy and should based on me letting others know about my experience. She said no that it wasn't their policy and they would not be giving me the gift card any longer. While writing this review I see the owner listed is not the man I talked to while at the show (which makes sense based on how unprofessional he appeared). So beware as they are extremely rude, and do not follow their own policies, and will rip you off.

I'm very surprised at the very positive reviews here. I booked my tickets because of these reviews but was very disappointed. I'm left wondering if these reviews have been purchased.

Mr. Bairefoot did include the audience but more than one audience member was clearly uncomfortable with the situation. This wasn't because the audience member was shy about being on stage. I won't say precisely why that was but, once a different member took the stage I can say that the female audience member was justified in her trepidation.

The "GTS Threater" was the first red flag. The baseboards are ripped off of the walls in the bathroom. The light bulbs are completely mismatched. The entire facility is in extremely poor condition.

The show might be entertaining for children under 10 but I couldn't possibly recommend it for anyone older. The illusions were poorly executed and consisted almost entirely of tricks you could buy from a magic store.

Obviously, you missed the sign “Pardon our dust as we remodel”. If you paid attention to the showroom the floors have recently been redone by Garage Kings and look beautiful. You are looking at a bathroom that is going to be remodeled in three weeks. WHY? Would we replace baseboards in there when a complete remodel is being done. So sorry you missed the sign. What you failed to mention in this was that upon arrival your seating was upgraded to Gold Seating and the chairs were NEW. You also “ASSUME” the lady on the floating table was in some way uncomfortable. She stayed after the show and stated what a wonderful time she had. Please don’t imply your impressions on others as you “assume” things - well that just makes the first part of assume what you are being. Have a nice day. The photos of the bathroom renovation have been posted on our facebook page.

The Show was good, we all enjoyed the performance, there's no Uau factor on this type of magic, don't go expecting big illusions or you will be disappointed. this is a $30 Show after all. What you will get is someone very skillful on what he does, so while the "magic" was OK, in my opinion the comedy part was great, Michael is very funny, extremely likable and knows how to play with the audience.
It sucks to give this show only 2 stars, but I have to consider the whole experience and while the Theater is too small and have a very limited stage, the real problem are the seats. They are inexcusable cheap, like cheap wedding reception seats and if you have back problems like me, you will be in pain sitting more than 1 hour on them, my wife have no back or neck issues and also find them very uncomfortable. Today for less than $10 you can get a recliner on a Movie Theater and no I'm not asking for a recliner, a regular uncomfortable theater seat would do, but those chairs?
and for the person answering the reviews, you should accept the negative reviews with the same grace you accept the positive ones, I'm not trying to hurt you, only sharing my personal experience.

Thank you - If you wanted better seats we have two options to chose from: VIP seats that are in the front row or Gold seats in the next two rows. I'm sorry that you didn't care for the Bronze seats. Next time, order VIP seats with a deep cushion, nice back and arms and you will be extremely comfortable or the Gold Seats which has a nice back and 2.5 in cushion.. However, the only option for discounted ticket outlets is Bronze seating and if you paid $30 each with your discount ticket outlet you paid MORE than the theatre charges our tickets are only $25.95 for the GOLD Seats at the Magic & Comedy Show plus we offer 10% off those seats directly at our website. However, the better seating must be purchased directly from GTS theatre and not discounted ticket outlets and as it sounds you would have had a better deal and better seating purchasing directly. Once again thank you for visiting GTS Theatre and the Magic & Comedy Show.

I really wanted to like this show, but I was disappointed. All the reviews made it sound like it was going to be just fantastic, but it really fell short. I felt it was more a comedy show than a magic show. There were only a handful of magic tricks performed, and they were the run of the mill like slight of hand card tricks, connecting/separating the rings, etc. I felt they were things any magician would do at a kids birthday party, nothing big or earth shattering. The comedy, though not inappropriate for kids, went over their heads and they were bored. He did a good job of engaging with the audience, and it was a small intimate venue so you could see pretty well. I liked that he acknowledged/honored military persons. I probably would have enjoyed for what it was, but my expectations were much higher based on the reviews.

Thank you for your review. However, if you wanted to see a "Copperfield" type show those tickets are $89 - $150 with no break for a child. The cost of our tickets is $24.95 and kids are $9.95. Michael is able to do the LARGE MAGIC but our facility does not have the ability for him to present so he presents his slight of hand which is equal to and better than Copperfield. I'm sorry your expectations were much higher but you will have to compare expectations to pricing. You received a great magic and comedy show for the price you paid. Thank you for supporting live performances.

Michael was great! Lots of individual audience interaction. He made sure all the kids in the audience got to work with him on stage. Family friendly, but definitely not boring for the adults!
Highly recommended.
Good variety of tricks too - some classics, some very new stuff, and an amazing prediction as well

We could see a lot of trick give aways . We could see some of the balls and cards he was hiding behind his hands (may not have been at visible in the center section) . There’s a lot of time between tricks which made the kids restless. We chose this show because we thought it’d be more kid friendly since it looked like the kids got to participate more . He does let all the kids get on stage to say their names but he only chooses two to stay for one trick . I think the other magic show in Myrtle would have kept the kids interest more , this one is just slow paced . This one had a lot of talking between and during tricks. A few tricks I couldn’t tell if they were joke tricks or just bad quality…. I’m assuming jokes . This show tries to mix a stand up comedian vibe with magic . This resulted in my 8 year old saying “why does he have to be so angry” If you’ve seen stand up you know that semi-angry vibe some of them have . The grouchy vibe I did not think worked well with a magic show geared towards kids- lots of eye rolling at the things the audience members did or said , lots of saying he didn’t like kids and roasting audience members . We did a similar , very small theater show in pigeon forge a few years ago and it was more enjoyable to us because the atmosphere was more friendly and fun and there was more audience participation and the tricks were more impressive (more mentalist stuff mixed with On a positive note his coin trick at the end and his mentalist trick were impressive . I have so much respect for illusionist so I hate to say anything negative , but I wanted others to have all the information before deciding .

What do you get when you cross a bad comedian with a mediocre magician? Yep, it's Michael Bairefoot. The jokes were sexist and dated, including stupid ones with "dumb blondes", and a lot of ones about his ex-wife. He also made fun of Russian women and Italian women. His magic was just ok, but many times you could see a card or colored ball hidden behind his hands in his "slight-of-hand" tricks. None of the magic was exciting or thrilling. We went with two teenagers and they were bored to death. It was a huge waste of money and time where we could have been doing something else fun at Myrtle Beach. Save your money and time, this guy sucks and needs to get new material.

This review is just outright vindictive and mean. You are merely upset as you were caught trying to pass your teenage daughters into the show as children under 12. From that moment on you were pissed off. If you were only truthful and honest, you would have had a great evening. As for your teenage daughters being bored. We have video of them laughing and smiling. Janelle - You're on vacation --- try to relax as you seem to be very intense.

Michael Barefoot's show was amazing. I've been to lots of comedy clubs. A few magic shows most of them big productions. Michael's show out did both on so many levels. He got personal with the whole audience. Great sleight of hand combined with a great comedy routine. If you want to enjoy a great show while in Myrtle Beach, I highly recommend GTS Theater and go to see Michael’s show.

What an amazing experience!! Clean and funny comedy paired with fantastic magic made for the ultimate show. I highly recommend this show for everyone in the area. Michael was personable and made sure to talk to the audience during and after the show and made sure to sign everyone’s card. We go to Vegas quite often to see magicians and were highly impressed by his slight of hand magic. His comedy was a perfect for the audience as he describes it “pg” rated. You can tell he puts his heart into his show. A true treasure for Myrtle Beach.
