When you arrive, take a horse-drawn carriage ride of the historic city—a great orientation for first-time visitors. A guide tells you all about the city’s rich history and modern culture, as you ride past historic homes, old churches, and quiet parks. Then, board a double-decker sightseeing boat for a fully narrated tour of Charleston Harbor. Grab a seat indoors or hang out on the deck for views of the USS Yorktown, the Battery, and more, all while enjoying a boxed lunch from a favorite Charleston deli. Next, tour Boone Hall Plantation to learn about a piece of Charleston history. You might even have time to browse the City Market on your way back to the bus before returning to Myrtle Beach.

Tour guides were wonderful driver picked us up right on time nice a/c bus to ride down sad to hear that the city of Charleston is trying to do away with the carriage rides. Tour guide was knowledgeable and friendly. This was a nice trip. Nothing to see between Myrtle Beach and Charleston so glad we weren't driving! The bus driver did stop on the way down to Charleston at an outpost store were bathrooms and snacks were available. Once in Charleston we started with the horse drawn carriage and the driver was informative. The area around the market and the historic district is in need of some clean up and repairs are needed. There is no waterfront presence, so to speak, so all had to be careful walking thru the construction, dirt, etc. to get to the boat dock. There are no restroom facilities available until you get on the boat. The boat tour, itself, was great and very informative. Boone Hall Plantation was informative and pretty grounds.

The bus pick up and drop off was at a convenient location. Our driver was excellent and the bus was comfortable. The carriage ride was the highlight. We were informed of meaningful and fun facts. Our time at the market was short. The harbor ride was relaxing but the intercom was difficult to understand, therefore we felt this was not as beneficial and would have liked more time to explore historical buildings. Time was also limited at the plantation. We wished we would have rode the tractor to see the extent of the land rather than tour the house. Definitely not enough time to take it all in. This trip was a nice overview leaving us a desire to return to Charleston.

Felt rushed! Arrived in Charleston. Had to wait for horse drawn carriage to arrive. Street cleaners were out so couldn’t hear the guide. Had to detour due to that. Only given 30 minutes to walk City Market. Harbor ride enjoyable. Onto Boone Plantation. Arrived at 2:10, driver informed us to be back at 3:30! Again rushed! Had to miss the reenactment at one of the slave museums. It started at 3:15, was 45” long. So couldn’t see that! When reading about our trip before booking it said we would arrive back in Myrtle Beach around 6:30. We arrived back at 5:30!! Missed out on an hour of our paid tour!! Very disappointing

We had a great time on our tour in Charleston. Scott was a great tour guide on our horse drawn carriage ride with Elwood leading our way. The harbor cruise was nice. The box lunch from Jersey Mike's was good. The Boone plantation was nice. We did the tractor tour around the plantation. We also did the self guided tour of the plantation house. We did not have enough time to really explore the market in Charleston or around the Boone plantation. Our driver Joe was great. He was friendly and personable.

This is a great trip. The bus ride was relaxing and our driver, Henry, was terrific. I would have to say the best part was the Carriage ride. The tour guide was so informative about every aspect of Charleston. And Carlos the horse, was fantastic.
It is true, it would have been better to have more time at the market and to wander around on our own.
The boat cruise was nice but the captain repeated everything we had just heard from the Carriage guide, so it was repetitive. The box lunch was delicious.
The Boone plantation was nice..but you only get to see the first floor of the house as it is privately owned. Front hall, library, dining room, and enclosed porch. The tram ride(pulled by tractor) around the grounds was informative.
All in all, it was a great day, a little bit of everything.
I would highly recommend this trip.

My husband, 18 year old daughter and I took a day out of our vacation to do a day trip to Charleston. It takes about 2 hours each way and traffic is pretty congested along 17. The trip home was longer than the trip to. The trip itself was really good. I'll start at the beginning. Make sure you get there 15-20 minutes early. They meet at Broadway at the Beach. Our driver called us at 6:50am asking if we were still coming. We were 5 minutes away and the last people to board. They were waiting on us and departure time was 7:00am. It was a pleasant ride there, very quiet bus with a short Charleston video about 45 minutes from arrival. Our horse and buggy was waiting for us and we quickly got started with a street tour of homes and places of interest. Our guide was really good. He dropped us off at City Market and we had around an hour to shop. We met the charter bus back at our drop off location and he took us to our harbor tour. We had our lunch waiting and were able to eat downstairs in the air conditioning and still have great views. The lunch was good-sandwich, fruit, drink but the sourdough bread was very tough to chew. The narration again, was very good. After that leg of the tour, we got back on the bus to the short drive to Boone Hall Plantation. We saw three rooms of the house, took a ride around the plantation, and had time to quickly run in one of the nine slave cabins. We really needed another half hour to 45 minutes to see everything. The Avenue of the Oaks is absolutely breathtaking. When they made our way back to Charleston.

I have been to Charleston over 10 times but decided to take this tour with friends to avoid the long drive and parking issues. I thought the tour was well planned and covered a variety of sights that made the trip very interesting. The lunch and harbor tour provided a nice break from the hot and humid day. I personally thought the highlight of the tour was the carriage ride and the tour guide Monica was OUTSTANDING. The only negative thing about the tour was the return ride from Boone Plantation. We waited an extra 35 minutes because the driver didn't correctly count the passengers. We waited for 5 missing passengers that were not missing. I realize that the bus driver is not a tour guide but he should be able to count heads. Other than this little miscue the trip was outstanding and I highly recommend it.
