We flew in from Houston and decided to tour Charleston via Grayline small bus tour with a boat trip out to Fort Sumter. Great choice..the guide was a former school teacher who knew his city history. The city has unique architecture from the Revolutionary War era to the Civil War

The bus tour consisted mostly of driving through town and looking at historical homes and explaining some of the history of Charleston from colonial times to present. The harbor tour was mostly centered on Fort Sumnter and the civil war. I would recommend both of them.
