When my wife and I visit a city for the first time, we enjoy taking a guided tour. This tour is a walking tour, versus a bus/ trolley, and is much more intimate and up-close. We were fortunate that our tour guide, Dennis, was both informative and good-natured. His provided a wealth of knowledge on the history of Charleston without totally covering all the warts. The tour lasted approximately two hours and it is a great value at $25.00. I recommend to any first time visitor - just remember to wear comfortable shoes.

Excellent tour. Brian has a depth of knowledge that entertains and is never tedious. We covered much of the city, moving easily from details on Revolutionary era to the Civil War. Once suggestion: it would have been helpful to know before we started that there was a bathroom stop available mid route!

Absolutely outstanding experience! We toured with Fin at 9:45am, who was super energetic and informative. He asked where everyone was from, and if he had the chance he referenced our cities in the tour. We weren't prepared for how humid it was going to be, but we did stop about halfway through for a bathroom/water break. The tour was outside, but masks were still required in City Hall if you went in for the break. Definitely recommend bringing a drink if you have time before! Fin was ready to answer any and all questions that our group had, and knew so much about the history and architecture of the city. Definitely recommend this tour!

Josh was a very, very good tour guide and gave all the historical tidbits I was hoping for. Charleston is definitely a city to tour with an experienced guide who can tell you the most interesting things about all the buildings and streets because the history is woven into daily life there, it’s not wrapped up in monuments that all have informational plaques. Wonderful city, great tour! Highly recommend.

Well worth the price, as the walk was full of information about the history of Charleston, the architecture, little knows facts, and how the city has evolved to what it is today. Our guide was Fin and he was extremely knowledgeable about everything Charleston. He answered every question, gave interesting facts, and was passionate about the city.
I would highly recommend this tour and our guide to any visitor to the city.

The guide provided us with information about the area's history that we would not have know walking the streets by ourselves. He is very passionate about the historical preservation of Charleston. Our group was rather large but the guide had a voice that could be heard by all. The walk was easy mostly flat and we stopped multiple times for narrative. Some of the sidewalks and streets are very uneven so watching your footing here is a must. Recommend this tour for first day of visit then you can go back to attractions that you want to explore further.

Brian gave an outstanding tour of historic Charleston, taking us down charming alleyways, and pointing out details we could have never known. He shared details about architecture, botany and history in a very fascinating manner. The overview of historic places, along with deep personal knowledge made this a MUST DO AGAIN activity.

Lawrence was a great tour guide! He led us on an informative 2 hour tour of the city on a very windy morning. Great insight into the local history and architecture. The city has great buildings and is full of history. Revolutionary war, Civil War and lots of other tidbits.

Loved this tour with Kay. She was extremely enthusiastic and entertaining as well as knowledgeable and an accomplished story teller. I’ve attended several tours of historical Charleston but learned many new facts about the early days during this tour. She moved at a quick pace just because she wanted to share so much knowledge. I loved this tour
