So much fun we highly recommend the sunset cruise on the Schooner Pride! Have some wine and let Captain Andy and his Crew entertain you on Charleston harbor while you watch the gorgeous sunset. Not a guided tour but crew provides a lot of laughs and we loved Dan on the fiddle (we are now Daddy’s Beemer fans!). Dress warm and bring a blanket if it’s chilly. Raise the sails with the crew!

Advance information well presented. Clear statement of expectations and limitations. This is not a narrated experience but Captain and Crew were attentive, friendly and willing to assist passengers with tasks managing lines and sails. Crew Member Erin and Captain Andrew were especially attentive to children providing photo ops, time "at the helm" and time for questions. This is a no-frills experience and extremely vulnerable to vagaries of weather.
Accessibility: Those with mobility challenges should heed information on line. NOTE: Charleston parking authority has limited unmetered parking. Parking garage available.
This experience is not interrupted by unneeded amateur jokes or comments about the local residents/celebrities. At about 50% capacity space was not too small, but with a full load experience would feel tight and questions of masking and distancing might impact a passengers choice.

What an amazing sailing tour of the Charleston harbor area!! Thank you, Captain Andrew and his wonderful crew!!! It was our last full day in Charleston and we picked the best activity to wrap up our stay in this charming city. The sailing experience was incredible and so the price for the ticket was totally worth it! I highly recommend this activity to any tourists who plan on having a boat tour. I am a teacher and so I give this experience an A+ rating!

One of my fav experiences on my recent Charleston trip! Two-sail boat, 3 crew members, and about 12 passengers give or take. Seating is not the best aboard, but the breeze and sights were terrific. I loved the long sail around The Battery, as well as the sights of sunset on the water. Staff was approachable and no-nonsense.

Our sunset sail was fabulous! We were lucky and had a clear day so the sunset was phenomenal. Got some great photos! It was colder than we expected out on the water - make sure to wear layers and have a jacket/coat. A scarf and/or gloves and a blanket would actually help. Everyone was required to wear a mask and that actually helped our faces stay warm. We brought our own snacks and the staff took drink orders and brought us wine (in a can). We saw several dolphins on our sail. All in all it was one of our favorite things we did in Charleston!

We may have enjoyed it more had this been our first time. The former captain and crew, although the deckhands did change from year to year, sing so much more experience. It was always great to watch them at work. The new crew seems rather novice and more like flight attendants.. By that I mean taking drink orders was their main priority is seams. The cost was quite a bit more and the experience was less damn before.

A friend of mine recommended this cruise to me and I’m super happy I listened. What a great way to end my Charleston trip. It was really fun watching the dolphins and the sunset and drinking until it gets dark. We were accompanied by good music and personable staff. There’s not much food selection but we had fun nevertheless. I will probably be back!

The cruise was nice, but during the cruise they start letting you choose which beverage you would like to drink. It is offered in such a way that you think it is free, however near the end of the cruise they come around and ask you for payment for the beverage you chose. I thought this was rather tricky, especially considering the price of the beverages. They should be up front with you that they are charging for the drinks they are handing out. This was kind of a spoiler for me and because of this I won't ever take this cruise again when I return to Charleston. I have been on two other Schooner ship rides in other states and those were much better than this one in Charleston Harbor.

Horrible customer service! I booked to sail in April. Obviously they are not sailing. They even admitted they are not sailing. According to their website they would give a refund if the captain cancelled. I think this qualifies as a cancellation.
I could not reach anyone by phone but managed to get someone to text me. They told me that they would only give me a gift card since I did not purchase tour insurance. There is no option to purchase your insurance.
Disrespectful, rude, and doesn’t even live up to the cancellation procedures on their own website.

We are sorry that you felt our customer service team was rude. We assure you this was not the case. We do not mention refunds on our website and guests agree to tickets being non refundable prior to agreeing to purchase. During this time, we have extended the ability to re-book to another date or receive an open ended credit for future use. There is no expiration date on the gift card, so that can be used when you are able to travel.

My mom and I loved the sunset sail! The sky was beautiful, and after sweating it out in the humidity all day, it felt great to be out on the water. Crew was friendly. I only wish that for the price, that one beverage or one photo would be included.
