We’ve had two previous carriage rides and enjoyed both. During our ride on Tuesday, a tire came off the wheel. I understand things like this can happen, but since I was in a seat right near the bare wheel it was very loud and made it impossible to hear Tyler. Not to mention, the noise distracted from enjoying the ride through the historic streets. There were no apologies made for the mishap or offers for a quiet ride. It didn’t help that while waiting to go into the barn our guide and another employee talked about it and how the tire should have been checked before going out to which our guide responded, “ I knew it was bad, I didn’t think it was that bad.” For the price, I expect better customer service or at the very least an apology.

Booked this activity as our first upon arriving in Charleston so that we could get a look at the city. Jenny and Jethro did not disappoint! Jenny is extremely knowledgeable, and her insights and information gave us many ideas for the remainder of our visit. She always turned toward the passengers when she spoke, which made it quite easy to hear and understand her commentary. It was obvious that she enjoys her job and loves to be around the horses. Jenny and Jethro introduced us to Charleston in the best possible way!

I had a great time being able to explore downtown Charleston! The tour guy was very informative and was super nice. The only downfall was it was hard to hear him talk over the cars and busyness of the streets. Would recommend a microphone so we could hear better.

Super way to end a walk-filled day. The evening tours are only 30 minutes, really wished we had taken the earlier hour-long tour. This ride hits the highlights in a very relaxing way. Try it!

Great experience! Andrew our guide explained all the landmarks in great detail , very friendly and fun. Loved the 2 horses Tom and Jerry! I am glad we took the 6p ride it was relatively much cooler. One of the other attendants - Alex was very friendly and took time to explain where these amazing stately horses come from.

Stopped by early in the day and booked our tour for the evening tour at 500pm. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable, personable and had a good sense of humor. Our horses, Rhyme and Reason had their movements also. Rhyme had to urinate followed by Reason. Guide said when one goes the other follows every time. Guide summoned clean patrol. Very good tour and highly recommend.

The guide was knowledgeable and kind and I appreciated being off my feet in the heat, but it was basically a square. I didn't realize when I made the reservation that it was only a half an hour and was just the commercial district. I would have preferred seeing more of the historical area. That was my fault for not realizing that from the description. I didn't feel like I learned a lot, but attributed that to really limited things to see on that particular route rather than the fault of the guide.

It was a relaxing ride at the end of the day. My only thoughts for a better experience would be to have fewer carriages on the streets at the same time. At one point, another carriage came right up behind us. Both drivers were talking at the same time so it was difficult to hear what our driver was talking about.

Excellent way to start our trip in Charleston! We had a wonderful tour guide during the evening. He provided great restaurant recommendations during the routes as well as must see places. Highly recommend doing this to get a lay of the town, history tidbits prior to planning out the rest of the visit. We were able to then walk around to sites he had mentioned after the tour.
