The best of beer in the Burgh
Tons of fun and a brilliant way to get out of downtown and see a bit of the real Pittsburgh. Who knew there were so many breweries and so much good beer in one place?! :)

      Great tour!
The bike route and breweries were fantastic! We always felt safe on the roads we biked. There are a couple hills but really not bad and it was ok to go slow. We really enjoyed our tour guides Diane & Dan - they brought homemade pickles for us to snack on halfway through. They knew a bunch of history about Pittsburgh that even we didnt know as Pittsburgh residents. I would highly recommend this tour.

      Learned a lot
Kane shared his love of history on the tour of things we wouldn’t have otherwise seen or learned about. The ride was easy for all levels of riders. Enjoyed the tour very much.

      Great Activity
Had a great day to experience a ride around Pittsburgh! Kane was our guide and he was very informative. Got to see some of the areas that we wouldn’t have known about or had a chance to see. Great weather!

      Love John
We did the whiskey walking tour. Our tour guide John was friendly, knowledgeable and fun and helped us better appreciate the city we’ve grown up around, while also sharing some delicious whiskeys.

Friendly staff and overall great cycling experience in Pittsburgh
Rented a hybrid bike for four days. Staff was extremely friendly and responsive, bike was fine, hills took some getting used to for someone who lives in the NETHERlands :) I was actually recommended another place, which shall remain nameless, but they didn't even bother to answer my email, so I'm really glad I ended up with these guys. Can't fault them for anything and definitely recommend them to anyone thinking of renting a bike in Pittsburgh. It's a very bike friendly city, by the way. I was a bit worried as I'm used to an extensive bike infrastructure in NL, but I was pleasantly surprised. There are plenty of designated bike paths, excellent trails all over the place, and even when you share the road with cars, they tend to pass you with a wide berth. So, thanks a lot for the experience and until next time!

      Fabulous walking ghost tour!
Kane was an awesome guide on the Ghost Tour of Pittsburg. He weaved history and architecture into the stories of weird and mysterious happenings that took place in city. Highly recommended!!

      Great adventure in the Burgh.
Tour guide Will was very knowledgeable and helpful. We had a small group, so navigating the city was smooth despite some areas with Holiday crowds.

Great tour to do in Pittsburgh
We loved the tour. Chuck our guide was excellent. He had a lot of knowledge on the various brewery visits and about Pittsburgh. We felt very comfortable riding around on the city streets and paths. We were very lucky to be the only ones on the tour so we had a very personal experience. Highly recommend this tour.

Amazing experience! Will be coming again!!
We absolutely LOVED this experience! Chuck our guide so fantastic and knowledgeable. As someone who is not familiar with biking in a city environment, Chuck made me feel extremely comfortable and confident. Each brewery we stopped at was energetic, spacious, unique, and delicious! We will be doing the tour again with friends and are recommending to everyone we know!!

Bike and Brewery Tour is Great!
Great balance between biking and brewery visits. Chuck was exceptional! Planning on repeating in the fall. Very fortunate as we were a small group -- and got plenty of special attention. Maybe try Sunday as we did. Strip district, traffic, and breweries a bit less busy. If you have bikes, park near History Center and take advantage of Pittsburgh bike lanes to meeting place.

Awesome experience - Pittsburgh to DC (GAP/C&O trail)
Awesome experience. We rented two hybrid bikes from Bike The Burgh with included panniers (two 20L waterproof bags), handlebar bag, and helmet to do the GAP/C&O trail (about 350 miles total) from Pittsburgh to Washington DC. Communications with Val and her team were great beforehand and we got superb service at the shop. We stopped in the day before our ride to check out the bikes and get the panniers so we could pack our belongings. We travelled from New Mexico and Texas to Pittsburgh and had some anxiety leading up to the trip as to whether we should bring our own panniers and whether we could fit our stuff in the panniers provided by Bike The Burgh. We chose to use those provided by BTB and they worked out great. The start day of the ride we were each properly fitted to our bikes. BTB provided 2 inner tubes and a patch kit for each bike and a shared tool set, pump, and cable lock. We had a flat along the way and having an extra inner tube was handy. The hybrid bikes provided we great quality and had the proper tires for the various surfaces for the long ride. We opted to drop the bikes off in DC (in our case a local bike shop) and they were shipped back. I highly recommend using Bike The Burgh.

      October Idyll
My partner and I experienced the Black and Ghost tour (with Hannah) and the Walk the Burgh tour (with Kane). We had a great time. Hannah & Kane were both very enthusiastic and provided a lot of interesting historical information. The best tours involve tour guides who are really invested and engaged in their city and its history (real and ethereal). Sorry that we didn't have enough time for the bike tour. Your tours make me want to visit again! Thanks for introducing us to a great city!

From an easy, friendly check in process with Val to our most excellent tour guide, Dave, this tour was fun and informative from start to finish! This was our first trip to the Burgh and my son & I really enjoyed the tour. We even won the quiz so we have an added incentive to return and try another tour! We’d love to do another that was maybe a bit longer. And the bridges tour sounds interesting as well. Overall, if you’re looking for an enjoyable bike tour around a bike-friendly city, I highly recommend Bike The Burgh Tours!

My 32-year-old son and I spent the weekend in Pittsburgh and took this tour. Kane was a wonderful tour guide; he is extremely knowledgeable and we learned a great deal about the city and its history. I strongly recommend this tour—it is a great way to get a comprehensive overview of Pittsburgh.

Kane was awesome. For only having a day in Pittsburgh, this felt to be the perfect balance of exploration, information, and fun. Our guides depth of knowledge was deep enough for our questions to be answered with quality hardware to boot. The bikes were phenomenal, especially compared to other bike tours I have done. They had bells, were clean, and clearly taken care of. It felt as if we visited all of the main centers of the city throughout or ride and the history ranged from Heinz history to how Pittsburg had changed throughout the years.

Only complaint is one not of this tour, but more of Pennsylvania as a state - nobody cares about masking and public areas (even on the ride) are relatively high risk when stopped. Hundreds of people on the strip as if covid didn't even exist, so keep that in mind.

With Covid closing a majority of the activities in Pittsburgh, like concerts, we looked for other activities to entertain us. We had a hotel and sitter booked already. I Googled tourist attractions in Pittsburgh and came across the city bike tours. My husband & I were pleasantly surprised! It was so much fun! Our very knowledgeable Tour Guide, Dave, kept it fun, light & was filled with historical facts about the City! We very much enjoyed the biking and sightseeing! Highly recommend to anyone visiting City wanting a tour with interesting facts about the lovely city of Pittsburgh!

Bike The Burg also provides longer term bike rentals for the Great Allegheny Passage (GAP) and C&O Canal bike trails. Our experience was only positive. The rental bikes were ready for us at the agreed on time, faithfully carried us to DC without a single mishap, and were reasonably priced. The business understands the customer’s needs, delivered at every step, were easy to work with, and went well beyond expectations to meet us after business hours so we could return the rental bikes. It is no surprise we saw so many of their rental bikes on the trail.

Dave is a phenomenal tour guide, and we loved seeing Pittsburgh through his eyes on a bike. The tour avoided the Pittsburgh hills and was full of information that enhanced our appreciation of the city. We will definitely be back for another ride when we return to Pittsburgh!

Our guide Dave did an excellent job! He was very knowledgeable and covered a variety of topics about the city to include architecture, history, and revitalization after the steel industry. The ride was at a comfortable pace with stops throughout for narratives about the area. You could tell that Dave has a passion for Pittsburgh and enjoys sharing it with others.

My wife and I truly enjoy biking the city trails and often take visiting family and friends on a bike excursion to show off our beautiful city. I discovered Bike the Burgh Tours and decided to try the Beauty of the Burgh Tour with our niece Claire who was visiting. Wow, what a fantastic experience! The 3-hour tour flew by with stops in the financial district, cultural district, strip district, north shore and the point. Our tour guide, Kane, was extremely knowledgeable and personable and was one of the best guides we’ve experienced in our lives. The tour is a great value for $40 for a 3 hour tour and you can rent a quality bike for only $10 if you do not have your own bike. Take visitors on this unique tour or just go yourselves to experience the beauty of our city and learn more about the storied history of Pittsburgh. You will not be disappointed!

Our guide Kane did a fantastic job sharing so much information about this beautiful city. He helped us understand the experiences of the prior Steel workers all the way through modern families enjoying this vibrant place today. I highly recommend this tour, the bikes we rented were comfortable for cruising around the landmarks. Looking forward to returning for their Bridges tour next!
