- rosat9700 contributionsDouble-decker busMy experience was wonderful. I enjoyed it and the people were so nice in the bus. The tour was beautiful. Everything was explained and nice and I loved it would recommend it and would do it again.Written September 12, 2024
- 17phillipr0 contributionsHidden Bus StopI bought 4 tickets online and selected the 12:55 pickup at Wyndham Hotel/Point State Park, listed at 600 Commonwealth Dr, the front entrance of the hotel. I never looked at anything else, just knew the time and pickup I selected during purchase. After the bus never showed I called to inquire. I was told the pickup spot was on the other side of the hotel at the "turn around" and I could wait another hour for the next bus. There is a pick up sign in the median of the street hidden by shrubs. I was told a refund was not an option.Written August 31, 2024
- kellymG3329CZ0 contributionsHighly recommend!!It was a great time! Carol and Fred were fantastic drivers and John and Ryan were very knowledgeable about Pittsburgh! I've lived here all of my life and learned things I never knew! My 17 year old loved it also!Written August 26, 2024
- MMD12130 contributionsIf you want to see the highlights of Pittsburgh, take this tour!My husband and I loved this tour! We couldn't have seen or appreciated Pittsburgh more had we not taken this tour. Ryan, our Tour Guide, was simply wonderful! Great presentation, clear speaking voice and entertaining stories... some of which may even be true! :) If you are visiting Pittsburgh and want a comprehensive tour to see the neighborhoods worth knowing about, take this tour!Written August 20, 2024
- pamf3730 contributionsDifferent type of hop-on-hop-off bus experienceThe tour itself was good, and the tour guide was interesting and informative. My biggest complaint is the wait time for the next bus if one is taking the hop-on-hop-off option. Apparently there is only one bus, so wait time is about an hour at each stop. In addition, the schedule is a bit misleading. In our case, the bus was supposed to make a stop at a location later in the evening, so we took the bus thinking that we could continue after stop one to the stop we wanted to make. However, the tour ended at stop one. The guide said another bus would start there later; that’s why the other times were listed on their schedule. We had to find another way to get to the stop we wanted or wait who knows how long. We have taken hop-on-hop-off buses in other parts of the country as well as abroad and have never encountered a one-bus company. Usually, the wait is ten to fifteen minutes between buses.Written August 11, 2024
- Susan E0 contributionsA wonderful adventure 😊This was my first visit to Pittsburg. Vince was an awesome Guide. So very knowledgeable about Pittsburg and it's history. I learned so much and I highly recommend this activity.Written August 9, 2024
- Flyer397474121920 contributionsIt could have been a better day.The tour was nice. Only 4 because on the day of our tour. Only 1 bus running. So, no Hop on Hop off for us. For which we had paidWritten August 3, 2024
- kenkW4282FO0 contributionsVery Good Tour! (Well Narrated and Organized)It was a very good tour. We sat in the main bus, but the narrator focused all his narration and attention on the top floor. I understand he encouraged those attending the tour to go to the top floor, but he may not understand that some tourists are vets and others cannot be exposed to the sun for long periods due to skin issues, etc. He has to find a balance to make "all tourists" feel included without explaining why they do not want to go to the top deck. Perhaps bounce back a little and not completely ignore those of us in the main bus. v/r, Dr. K. KingWritten July 27, 2024
- 244tracyd0 contributionsGreat way to see and learn about PittsburghWe did the hop on hop off since we only had the afternoon to see the city. This was perfect. We saw everything and the tour guide gave such great information about the city. We hopped off for lunch and to ride the Duquesne Incline and the casino. I highly recommend doing this.Written July 27, 2024

- Stanziani0 contributionsFirst time visitor to PittsburghI would highly recommend this tour if you are a first time visitor to Pittsburgh. We did the hop-on hop-off tour. We got off at the Heinz Museum stop (a must do if visiting Pittsburgh) and hopped back on at the scheduled time. Pittsburgh has many attractions and sights and our guide, John, was very knowledgeable and personable. The upper deck of the bus can get quite hot in the summer. Suntan lotion and a bottle of water is recommended. There is a lower level, which is air conditioned, but the view is not as good. The tour takes about two hours + to complete the loop, but it was time well spent.Written July 7, 2024
- Q8151TYelizabethg0 contributionsPittsburgh highlights in a short timeWe had very limited time to see the city so the bus was a great way to learn about the history and highlights. John our tour guide was very interesting and funny. Carol our bus driver was awesome getting around all the construction. The bus was on time at the stops we were at. Highly recommend.Written July 7, 2024
- 131juneb0 contributionsShows us the highlightsWe like to use a tour like this to get the lay of the land. We didn’t have a lot of time in Pittsburgh, so this showed us the highlights. We took the last tour of the day, so nohop off, hop on. But we planned it that way. The narrater did a good job.Written July 4, 2024

The bus was overloaded. It was standing room only. Not the experience we had paid for. They do not guarantee a seat so beware-that was not stated in their advertising.. We started the tour at stop 1 to make the entire loop and had to stand because there were no seats. We had purchased tickets for the "Just the Tour" portion. We were offered a stair step for 1 of us, which we refused. it was not pleasant. I have sent two emails to the tour company without any kind of response. At stop 1 the Hop on and off passengers were given priority and the "Just the Tour" passengers were boarded last when there were no more seats. The driver and guide seemed oblivious to the entire situation, I guess it happens all the time. we were able to sit after 1 hour on the bus. Unacceptable
After almost a week -management has not made any effort to respond to my emal.

This was just outstanding. Patty was our guide and Vince was our driver. Really friendly and welcoming which was especially appreciated as we were visiting from the UK.
Patty was very knowledgeable and kept us on our toes with lots questions and shared lots of fasicnating information.
There is NO WAY you could learn all this and see this on your own.
It is hands down the best way to learn about the history and sights of Pittsburgh and we are so glad we did.
We literally got off the bus 10 minutes ago and our heads are still buzzing from it.
Go for it.

Fantastic way to “meet” the City of Bridges! The ability to get on and off the bus at particular stops makes visiting some of the cities most interesting places very easy. Guide was SUPER knowledgeable about the history of the city, architecture, and cultural topics. Best way to get your trip started.

It was a very good experience, took my mom to see what a great city Pittsburgh is on its history and the good people that live here. The tour guide was very knowledgeable about all the aspects of the city and put some good humor throughout the trip. I would definitely recommend it to friends and family.
Great times, keep up the good work,

Having lived in the area in the past I had a chance to visit again with a companion who had never been. To give her a quick overview and me a peek at changes since I've been gone, we opted to start the trip with the bus tour. The bus was super clean and bright and welcoming and the Ken & Jim duo took great care of us along the way while providing an entertaining, extremely informative and fantastic trip around town atop the open air bus on a beautiful day in WPA. HIGHLY encourage this as a starter activity to see and learn before heading off to dig more into the sites and locations you see along the way. Thank you for a great memory.

This is the best way to get to know a new place! My time was limited in Pittsburgh, the Hop On Hop Off tour was perfect! In two hours I got to see a lot of this very interesting city, historic neighborhoods, and renovated, trendy places. The tour guide was very knowledgeable and funny, he kept us all entertained while learning so many interesting facts about the city and some famous citizens. I did not get off at any of the stops due to my limited timing :( but I totally recommend taking this tour and spending some time in the areas of interest.

A great overview of Pittsburgh with guides who love it. Jim and Vince were terrific and the woman who answered the phone was very helpful in instructing us as to where we could board the bus. Convenient stops along the way.

The bus was late in arriving to pick us up so I was worried at first but the tour was very good. The person providing commentary spoke clearly and entertainingly throughout our tour. What we saw on the tour made us want to return to Pittsburgh and spend at least a week visiting things we were introduced to.

We were in Pittsburgh for three days and decided to do the double decker bus tour. $35 for someone else to drive and provide us with information about the city while we relaxed…all seven of us were satisfied. Our tour guide was very informative and even attempted a few jokes. The city of Pittsburgh is truly unique with its different neighborhoods and this tour did a very thorough job of highlighting each area. Money well spent.
Tip:use the restroom before hand, we were directed to a building next door.

Very informative tour and a great intro to the city for first-timers. Be sure to allow at least 2.5 hours if not 3 hours for the experience. Don't do what we did which was fret too much about an expiring parking meter.
The Hop on Hop off feature might be a better overall value, but you have to know where you want to get on and get off ahead of time.
