- jenniferkG7831NJ00Mom and Me Girls TripI took my mom to Amish Country, a lifelong dream of hers. To get the up close and personal insight into their culture was over the top for her. Our tour guide was Mike and he was beyond knowledgeable, not a question he couldn't answer. We were the only two signed up for the tour this particular day, he could have cancelled for low participation but he made a dream come true. That was my moms first, and likely only vacation in many many years.
- kimpR6191YE00Amish tourThe tour guide was amazing. He gave us so much great information. It was fun to be able to visit actual amish farms. Bonus- ice cream for breakfast!
- 842jennifert00Authentic and knowledgeableDale made everyone feel comfortable from the first moment he met you. He took us to places that were not visited by others and knew his local Information well. You could tell there was a real connection to the families and the community and the commentary as we travelled was varied and interesting.
- malgoliscruz00Great experienceDale is the historian par excellence! We were feted to Amish history and the history of Pennsylvania which he delivered in an exciting and animated fashion that was thoroughly entertaining and informative. In fact, we met and interacted with an Amish couple who invited us into their home, and found that everything Dale told us about these people is absolutely and surprisingly true! Dale is a walking, talking encyclopedia on the Amish and Pennsylvania! What a teacher! We will NEVER forget our lessons!!!
- 42pamelaw00Insight in Amish CultureWe had a great time on this tour. The small group of 13 was just the right size to make sure everyone got to participate in the experience. They even provided ear pieces so you could hear everything the tour guide said clearly. Dale was a wonderful guide. He was very informative about the history of Pennsylvania, the Amish culture, and the area. I would highly recommend this great little tour.
- Darla D00Enjoyable tourMy sister and I really enjoyed this tour! Our tour guide was very knowledgeable about the area! We learned many things about the area and about the Amish and Mennonite communities!! Our time with an Amish family for a traditional meal was very special! The food was delicious! The family was very friendly and asked us questions about our lives and welcomed our questions as well. We spent time learning about how they lived and got a close look at the family buggy, the horses and other things on their property. This tour was something I was really looking forward to and I am so glad that I got to do so!! I would recommend it to anyone!
- estibalizq202300Amazing Real Amish ExperienceOur guide Dale was a local and knew every piece of Lancaster’s Amish History, we stopped in 4 places and was very informative, would recommend
- Kimberlykayer765400Immerison Amish CountryGuide Dale was very informative. He knew all about We really would recommend this tour everyone. Going try another next trip
- johanatoro00Unique Amish ImmersionIf you want to learn real information about the Amish this is the tour, we visited 3 real houses, and saw some of them working around.
- richardmL2589PZ00Wonderful Amish ExperienceThe guide was phenomenal! Very knowledgeable and personable. The Amish families we saw and met were wonderful. I learned so much I didn't know!
- Inspire3361848787200A group of 8 friends gathered for a tour of the Amish experience and countryside. This is a must-do for first time visitors to Amish country. Our group of 8 adults enjoyed a tour of the Amish countryside with a few stops at local homes and businesses. Our tour guide, Mike, has immersed himself in the Amish culture, allowing him to proved detailed information and thoroughly answer any of our questions. It is clear that he has strong relationships with Amish families, and he was able to share personal experiences about their everyday lives, customs, and culture. We learned a lot, stopped at some impressive homes and farms, and had a delicious ice cream treat.
- gpX8577EK00This is a must do !!!Excellent tour. Instead of the restaurant buffets, enjoy your buffet feast with a great amish family. Highly recommend, would have done it again if we had time. Abundant delicious homemade food , great conversation and super informative. Thank you Aaron and Barbie...
- J9741FSmarilynk00A real look at the Amish lifestyleWow, an extremely knowledgeable tour guide really enlightened us on the ways of the Amish. The scenery was wonderful, meeting the Amish and some of their children was delightful and the ice cream was a real treat.
- noberly4300Excellent mealThe tour met at the Lancaster information building that had plenty of safe parking. While waiting to embark, the visitor center had a lot of information plus art work by members of the community. The tour guide was friendly and knowledgeable. The group of 11 visitors easily fit into a comfortable van, Our host Sarah made a wonderful meal. I was able to purchase a jar of her home made pickles to bring home
- S5208OQamyb00ExcellentDale was an amazing guide. Sarah was a great hostess and cook. Enjoyed very much. Only thing I recommend is letting people know in advance of buying tickets they need to be able to climb upstairs.

This tour was amazing. It ended up being just my fiancé and I, but we had such a great time learning about the history of Lancaster. Our guide was very knowledgeable about Lancaster and answered all our questions in depth. The breweries that we visited were great & had a great selection! We would definitely recommend this tour to anyone who is interested in the history of Lancaster, as well has the impact of prohibition here.

My two best friends and I savored the history and the beer in equal measure.
Michael has a relaxed but professorial style which holds your interest throughout. He is justifiably proud of the efforts made by so many to restore and preserve the history of his home town.
The tour route is well conceived and consistently interesting. There is so much more to Lancaster than The Amish (which are never mentioned). Highly organized, Michael came equipped with extra umbrellas (which we needed). But for his being from the blue side of the Dickinson vs. F&M rivalry - he was perfect.
Our tour of Lancaster was the highlight of the weekend. Learned the origin of “stogie” and the ingenious means by which Lancaster’s brewers circumvented the Volstead Act.
Thanks to A.J. for loaning us her husband.

The tour guide was extremely knowledgeable and a local. The tour provided history with a stop at 2 pubs. The pubs had a great selection of craft beer. The history we learned was interesting and informative. I would recommend the tour. It is about 1 and a half hours of walking, with 2 stops in pubs. You will learn about Lancaster, its history and its relationship with breweries.

My friend and I did this walking tour on a beautiful Saturday in October.
Mike was a very knowledgeable guide. He knew a lot about the history of Lancaster and had great enthusiasm. The two brew pubs we frequented at the end were an added bonus and the drinks were included as well.

Mike S was our guide for a little more than 2 hours. We use a lot of tours when traveling. For us it's a way of understanding what we are seeing and get a history lesson. Mike has a passion for what he does. We had a great time, learned a lot, and tasted a few beers. Ask for Mike and you won't go wrong.
There were 2 couples so nice size.

We enjoyed our tour of the city of Lancaster with Mike as our guide. His thorough knowledge of dates and events was amazing. Our last stop at an establishment with ties to a brewery which secretly operated during Prohibition was especially interesting. The micro brews were great and we parted ways feeling as if we had gained a new friend.

Overall an excellent experience. This walking tour of Historic Penn Square, Lancaster was truly authentic and such a great close up look at the historic district. Mike knows this town. We stopped to visit sites and sounds; the local brewery stops were a special treat. We got lucky with Mike, truly a man who knows his history and town! Take the tour - you won't regret it!

Mike was the best. He promptly found my wife and I at the meeting area. We then proceeded in a historical tour of the great city of Lancaster. Mike was extremely knowledgeable explaining the architecture and history of all the buildings and stories of Lancaster. We also visited three breweries and drank delicious beers.
I highly recommend this tour with Mike. A personal tour of the up and coming city of Lancaster and a wonderful time with Mike, who will be your friend at the end of the tour. Mike, also gave us awesome tips on where to dine too.
