The best part was learning so much of the Amish customs from a local who has lived here 40 years. He has friends with several Amish families so his insights were great. Ice cream was good. Not many sights but good traveling thru Amish countryside and understanding the use of their buildings. Great experience.

My wife and I took this tour on a Tuesday in early October. This was a good time to go since there was only one other couple on the tour. The staff at the visitor center and the tour guide were very friendly and informative. We were in and out of the tour bus for a little over three hours, and the bus was comfortable. There were multiple stops at Amish farms or businesses along the way. The tour guide was very knowledgeable about the Amish way of life and thoroughly answered all questions. The ice cream was very good. Got to meet some young Amish kids at some of the stops. It would have been a better tour if we could have met and had the opportunity to speak with some of the adults. Would recommend this tour for anyone that isn't already familar with the Amish culture. A good value. Time well spent.

My mom and I had a great time! The tour guide was so nice. She was very knowledgeable. I definitely learned a lot more about the Amish from her.

This was an amazing tour! Dale was a great tour guide. He was very knowledgeable and interesting to listen to. We went to 4 locations and got to see way more than we expected. We learned a lot about Amish history and daily life. I highly recommend this trip!

During the tour, I learned a lot about the Amish culture, including more than just their traditional horse and buggy. I enjoyed meeting the locals, buying fresh fruits and treats from the roadside vendors, and indulging in delicious ice cream. Our tour guide, Mike, was incredibly knowledgeable and made sure we got to see all the horses. He also provided us with extensive information about the area. Overall, it was a highly enjoyable and informative experience, and I would definitely recommend this tour.

This was one of the best tours I have been on. We didn’t hit any of the “tourist attractions”. We visited local Amish families and farms. The guide was super knowledgeable. Amazing.

Excellent tour! Dale was our tour director & he was very well informed on all things in the area. He was very personable & prompt and made the tour a most enjoyable experience. I would suggest taking the 8:30 a.m. tour as they are generally less crowded.

Dale knew his stuff! Wow! Former history teacher, farm hand, and having been brought up in the Lancaster area gave his credibility and anecdotes something special! Loved this tour--it was really, really good. My recommendation is to offer it as well as the food tour together as a whole day. I didn't want it to end--I felt like we were just getting started.

The Amish Immersion Experience was very enjoyable and informative. Our tour guide (also the owner of the tour company) was very well-informed about the Amish customs and history from having lived in the area for 50+ years. He’s established connections and relationships with several Amish families, enabling the tour to visit homes and businesses not usually available for most people to see. It was interesting getting to visit with several of the Amish people we met. The lad who made the bird houses, the ice cream stop, the working dairy farm, and the location used in the movie “Witness” were all very enjoyable to see. I would recommend using the ear piece that is offered during the tour, to make it easier to hear the information that’s given by the tour guide. A highly-recommended three hour tour !

This was a fantastic tour! Our guide, Mike, was very informative and a very good narrator!!! We really enjoyed all the personal stops at different family homes and the interaction with the children. I bought a birdhouse handmade by a 12 year old young man and and had a wonderful conversation with him. He was the most polite and well mannered young man with a warm smile. Thank you Mike for a wonderful afternoon!!

Mike was a great guide. Very personable and knowledgeable. His relationship with the families we visited on the tour made the experience a delight. We’ll be back for another tour.
