1.5-Hour Aboriginal Culture, Sand Board and Quad Bike Tour

Overview
Just a short drive from Port Stephens, take a 1.5-hour quad bike tour that includes a sand boarding experience and an introduction to local Aboriginal culture. Ride the quad bike and go sand boarding at the Worimi Sand Dunes, the largest coastal sand dunes in the southern hemisphere. From the top the high dunes, take in panoramic views and learn about the traditional occupants of this land on the north coast of New South Wales.
What to Expect

Make your own way to the Murrook Culture Centre for your quad bike tour. The center is located about 25 minutes by car from Port Stephens.

Start with a safety briefing and hands-on instruction for the quad bike. Then put on your helmet and other provided equipment and follow your guide out onto the Worimi Sand Dunes.

Learn about the traditional owners of the land and look for fresh water lagoons and midden sites (tool and burial sites) that can be spotted from high up on the sand dunes. Hear about the hopes of the local Aboriginal people then pass by the noted attractions (as time allows).

Enjoy a hands-on experience at the midden and toolmaking sites that includes digging for fresh water, and finding bush foods and medicines in the area. Top off your time by riding a sandboard down one of the highest sand dunes in the southern hemisphere.

Amazing!

This is so much fun. The guys really make you feel safe. Always there to help. Loved that they moved the slower riders to the back to make it a better experience for all. Would love it if they offered a more advanced ride.
